  1. By artifacts you mean screen tearing? I'd like to see the source of info on those alleged LG IPS 2560x1600 @ 120 Hz panels. Afaik none panels with these specs are expected to hit the market any time soon, for various reasons. Here's the main reason why such monitor won't be released: https://www.emsai.net/projects/widescreen/bandwidth/ Not to mention the cost of producing high quality IPS panels that are able to run at 120 Hz.

  3. Could be a good incentive for players to start reading the books and learning about the lore, but may not suite every character. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/21765
  4. Unfortunately for Dawnguard users only.
  5. This could be a must have mod for people who enjoy decorating their houses. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24439/
  6. For those needing a performance boost, although I doubt they would be interested in STEP in that case. But maybe one of you is going to attempt playing Skyrim on a low-end laptop, or something... https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14504
  7. Discussion thread: Clanking Armor by Lord Sane Wiki Link Talk about immersion mods. Dropped in 2.2.8 due to conflicts with Audio Overhaul for Skyrim and parts covered by Unofficial Skyrim Patch.
  8. I see Enhanced Skyrim Soundtrack has been reuploaded to Workshop so people who miss that mod may still grab it from there.
  9. I don't remember any of the music mods lasting longer than a few weeks. And there were some brilliant ones out there.

  11. This mod will go down in about 3...2...1...
  12. The guidelines were for vanilla Skyrim and are largely outdated and system-specific, IMO.
  13. What are you waiting for, post it! :p
  14. Extended warranties are useless if you're going to upgrade your graphics card within the next 3 years (which most gamers do). I see what you mean with the upgrade path, it may be useful. Adaptive Sync will lock your framerate to 60 (vsync) when you're above that rate. My advice is force vsync on and use 58 fps limiter in Nvidia Inspector to reduce input lag, since like you said, your fps isn't really dropping anyway. Also, force the AF from the drivers, disable in-game AA/AF, unless you're using some form of transparency AA as well. Otherwise use SMAA, looks almost as good as 4xMSAA and reduces the jaggies on transparent textures as well, at almost no performance cost. The extra power you can invest in a beefy ENB config with SSAO and DoF.
  15. Are you going with GTX 660 or 660 Ti?

  17. Smile when you see a foot long page of UDRs that the spoiler tag doesn't hide in the Comments of the mod. You have to look at it through the forums, not the download site. It can't handle even the slightest formatting, so stupid. Â Looks gorgeous on the forum.I know, I've done the same thing. Some authors got a bit upset.
  18. Go to any mod's page. Find this: Smile when you see a foot long page of UDRs that the spoiler tag doesn't hide in the Comments of the mod.
  19. Verify the files on Steam, delete Skyrim.ini/SkyrimPrefs.ini from the Docs folder. Make sure that you don't have any rogue scripts running. Did you do a clean install before installing STEP mods? What Mod Manger are you using?
  20. PCI-E 3.0 is backwards compatible, and there's really no need for PCI-E 3.0 mobos yet. IMO if you're going to game at a standard resolution (up to 1920x1200), 2GB VRAM is more than enough. I could play any games at 2560x1440 with that much VRAM and the only problem I encountered was when I started using 4K resolution textures with Skyrim, which are frankly an overkill anyway (since a lot of content is lower resolution and they don't blend in very well). IMO go with GTX 670 2GB or Radeon 7950. Unless you're willing to try SLI/Crossfire out. Radeon 7950 3GB - $280 after rebate. GeForce GTX670 2GB - $360 after rebate.
