What does it mean when it says "BAIN Installer"? I'm looking specifically at [Leanwolf's Better-Shaped Talos Statue with Greatsword], but that's not the only appearance of the phrase in the instructions. -

For RDO Patches (OPTIONAL FILES - CORE PACK -> RDO - Patches), no matter what I set as the data directory with MO, it says "No game data on top level". On a possibly - but probably not - related note, when I installed Septim HD (MAIN FILES - Septim HD 1 point 0) and "Install[ed] only the contents of Alternates/Default BBP/Mipmaps.", it installed, but is greyed out and italicised in my mod list, and there is a red X under "Flags" - is this how it should be? How??!! =D -

Ja, I came to Skyrim late (bought during Christmas sale at the end of 2015) and started using mods pretty much right from the start, but nothing so comprehensive as this build. I miss some of the "classics" though from my first few hundred hours in game (Wyrmstooth, Elianora's houses, Vilja . . . ). -

. . . You're absolutely right, I had downloaded the main file and the optional file. Whoops. As for putting my own options in, there are some mods that aren't in SRLEELotD that I really want, but my inexperience with this level of modding makes me extremely hesitant to deviate from the prescribed instructions exactly, no matter how much I might want something else too. If I do anything besides what they instruct and there're any problems, than I might as well start over. Especially since, even for the mods they DO tell you to install, sometimes you choose patches for them in FOMODs and sometimes you don't (because it's in some mega patch in the end) - for someone not intimately familiar with which are where, and which mods (and how) to combine into bashers to reduce .esps, and so on, it's like drowning if I try to make even the slightest deviation. Someday, I'll learn enough to do my own tweaks. -

For the mod [Legacy of The Dragonborn Patch Central], it lists two files to download: "MISCELLANEOUS - LOTD Patches Merged (v19.1.6)" and "OPTIONAL FILES - Optional Mod Patches for Legacy (v19.1.7)" Both of these have FOMOD installers. However, the only FOMOD instructions for that mod are for "Legacy of The Dragonborn Patch Central - Snazzy Patch", and it only instructs to install one patch. Through a bit of testing, I discovered that only one of the files has a poatch for SFCO - the "OPTIONAL FILES - Optional Mod Patches for Legacy (v19.1.7)". Based on what I'm seeing here, we should install the "OPTIONAL FILES - Optional Mod Patches for Legacy (v19.1.7)" with only the SFCO patch, and the "MISCELLANEOUS - LOTD Patches Merged (v19.1.6)" with no patches whatsoever? -

Okay, I just wanted to make sure it's using MO's inbuilt "merge" when you try to install two things with same name. With [Dynamic Things - Enhanced], there was a special note saying "Make sure this Mod and the Dynamic Things mod Installed above are named the same so that they are merged together within Mod Organizer." Because there was a note there but not with the [More Patches for CACO], I wasn't sure if we were meant to do the same thing. -

For [More Patches for CACO], all three patches default to the same name, "More Patches for CACO". I looked at Darth's modlist, and there is only one mod with that name, not one per patch. Do I install one, then merge the other two into the same mod? -

Is there a separate forum where we can read about/ask what mods were and weren't included in the load order *and why*? I have some questions but that subject isn't so much asking for help setting it up correctly as just learning about the curators' choices. Or should we ask in here anyway? -

Under the Classical Lichdom, it says the following "Manual TES5Edit Cleaning Required: Make sure Undeath Immersive Lichdom V3.esp has been cleaned as per Mod authors instructions found HERE" Maybe change "Undeath Immersive Lichdom V3.esp" to "UndeathClassicalLichdom.esp" since it is under the Classical Lichdom mod? Also, if you're in there changing it anyway, step 5 under Immersive Lichdom has a typo: "backgound" instead of "background". Not a huge issue since it's obvious what was meant. -

I've noticed for some of the automatic installers (FOMOD I think is the term?) there are options for patches of mods that are in the SRLE modlist, but the instructions on the SRLE page tell users not to choose them when using the FOMOD. For example, in Audio Overhaul for Skyrim 2, the "Compatibility Patches - Part 2" window has patches for Deadly Dragons, Deadly Spell Impacts, Enhanced Blood Textures, and more, but the SRLE page says to select none. Why is this? Is there a general reason why not to choose those sorts of patches, or does it vary case-by-case/patch-by-patch? -

Thank you, berndaroy. I do not have Race Compatibility in my load order (yet, at least - if it is a SRLE mod I haven't gotten that far down yet), and I understand thanks to some help how to do the business with making the temporary bashed patch, etc. I was referring to the fact that the instructions on the SRLE page say to select Immersive Lichdom only, when I was thinking, as you are confirming here, that Classical Lichdom is the one to select. Alternatively, one could clean one-at-a-time, like DarkLexyLady said, but that option isn't what's presented in the instructions either. My intent was to find out if I was doing it wrong (as DarkLexyLady and your answers seem to indicate I was not) or, if I was not wrong, to have a moderator amend the yellowtext description for that mod in the SRLE page for clarity/accuracy. -

Question - unless I am missing something - here is the description for fixing Undeath and its "expansions" Load Wrye Bash Right click on the Undeath Immersive Lichdom V3.esp and select File->Create dummy esps (this will create a fake empty esp for the Master you are missing and place it into the overwrite folder). Activate this newly created new dummy plugin in the Right Pane of Mod Organizer. Load TES5edit with only Undeath Immersive Lichdom V3.esp Selected wait until backgound [sic] loader has finished. Now clean Undeath Immersive Lichdom V3.esp as per Mod Authors instructions found HERE Once the mods [sic] has been cleaned you should able to delete the dummy plugin. If you load TES5Edit with only Undeath Immersive Lichdom V3.esp, per instruction 3, it will load the main Undeath.esp, but it will not load UndeathClassicalLichdom.esp, and thus a major part of the instructions in the link cannot be followed. If you load Classical Lichdom, it will load all three. I am assuming this is what was meant? Or does one need to do the Undeath Immersive part, close out of TES5Edit, then reopen it and do the Undeath/Undeath Classical fix (which isn't how the instructions say to do it at all)? Can someone please a) tell me where I'm going wrong, or b) change the description if I'm not? -

So .bsl files aren't inextricably bundled into the .bsa? Which types of files, then, are ones that cannot be installed in the first place or it will cause problems, vice which ones (like .txt, evidently .bsl, and perhaps others) can be installed initially and as long as they are deleted afterward the installation will work perfectly? -

alphakay1488 replied to Darth_mathias's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
For Immersive College of Winterhold, if I use the built-in installer, there is no way not to install the .bsl; if I install manually, choosing all the options instructed (core files (minus .bsl), desaturated book covers, elnfx patch, apophysis patch) it says "No game data on top level". Should I drag + drop the patches folders into the "00 CWI - Core Files" folder and then set that as the data directory? -

Okay, so if I reinstall the relevant mods and choose Replace rather than Merge, will that suffice? -

Many mods in the mod list have "Special Installation: Do not install the following file(s) and/or folder(s)" text. I was mistakenly installing them normally and then just deleting those items afterward. Do I need to start from scratch because the SRLE installation is ruined now? Or can I just reinstall all the relevant mods? Or are those instructions just for convenience's sake to save modders having to go in and delete them after as I have been doing? -

Trying to clean the Undeath mod set - I installed all three Base, Immersive, Classical, as well as the Patch and the Scrye Fix). Created the dummy master via WB for Immersive. Linn's linked guide says to load xEdit with Classical, SRLE page says to load xEdit with Immersive, (typo? If you load with Immersive, then some steps in guide cannot be completed, since Classical does not show up to remove the necessary items), so after loading Classical, following all the steps in the guide, the mod is presumably cleaned and ready to use. However, I cannot find where to delete the dummy master. Back in WB I checked Immersive, as well as Bashed Patch 0 and the RaceCompatibility.esm that is the dummy, but none have the option to remove them, at least not in language that makes it immediately obvious the way it was to create it. Do I literally just delete something from MO's folder (or, technically, move it to the Recycle Bin) using Windows Explorer file system, without using any modding tools to remove it? -

Thanks, I foresee having a lot of questions ;) Under the Optimised Textures section, for the Bethesda Performance Textures, there are two mods (with Nexus suffices 43921 and 42360) with multiple component files for each mod. Ought I use Merge Plugins on them so they only take up two slots total (one each), rather than three or four per mod? -

Fairly new to Skyrim/modding, no experience (yet) with third-party tools, no coding/programming ability, etc. May be biting off more than I can chew trying to do this from scratch, but that's my style. First question is relating to the ENB - the guide says .315, the ENB Customiser tool only goes up to .308, and the newest version on the ENB site is .319 (and the second-newest is .292, earlier than the one in the official SRLEELOTD guide). What ought I to do? And if this board is the wrong one for questions/help, just let me know.
