Just finished my first base SRLEELOTD installation and starting to make some slight tweaks. Still very new to this depth of modding. If I want to install Vilja and her Solstheim expansion, do I need both esps? Can they be merged with other follower mods? Many times in the SRLEELOTD guide it said one didn't need an esp for a mod, and I don't know how to tell on my own when they are/aren't needed, but trying to conserve slots as much as possible.

SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn

Well ja, once I start a playthrough I wouldn't change anything, ANYTHING, no matter what. I meant regarding my "base" SRLEELOTD build that is the starting template for any future builds. -
Yes, and while I don't go for the "hardcore" muscle mods that make Skyrim-dwellers look like uncanny-valley professional bodybuilders with bulging veins, even just moving about in the Alternate Start room last night my female Nord felt too soft/matronly for my immersion. I don't begrudge anyone else their choice, but UNP (or UNP Slim for some races) is my roleplaying/immersion preference. Still trying to figure out which male physique I like best.

What kinds of changes to one's mod load order require re-running: Khajiit Ears Show? The Great Equalizer? No More Dragon LODs? FNIS? Re-making the Bashed Patch? ASIS? DSR? DynDOLOD? I realise redoing all of these every time I update/change any mod is not necessary, and largely a waste of time, but I don't want to NOT do it when it IS important to and thus break everything for all time. -

In my enblocal.ini, KeyBruteForce=0. Is that what it should be set to? And I know what you all are saying about mods like Sofia, the issue I'm having with iNeed etc. is different. Thanks though. -
Thanks. And if I want to use a different body mod for men and/or women - like UNP regular instead of UNPB - are there any that will cause conflicts that I should stay away from?
-
Just "finished" my first install of SRLEELOTD yesterday before coming back to make tweaks and fixes. The standard SRLEELOTD body mod for females is a never-nude UNPB, I think, and I assume the male is never-nude as well (haven't checked in-game yet)? Is this for performance reasons? Or to make it compatible with certain mods? If it's only authors' preference, I'd like to change back, but IDK if there's more to it than that.

Also, if we have questions about alternate options/choices for mods, is there a separate forum for that? Or are there certain individuals who take PMs on the matter? The last thing I want to do is start asking about non-SRLEELOTD mods in a forum specifically for SRLEELOTD. -

I'll find how to check Brute Force and make sure it's off. Since there are two different ways of installing FNIS PCEA 2 and Realistic Animation, one for each gender, is making a SRLEELOTD profile for the second one as simple as copying the first SRLEELOTD profile and reinstalling FNIS PCEA 2 and Realistic Animations for the other gender? Or do any of the merges, scripts, bashed patches, DynDOLOD, etc. have to be run again? Edit: Okay, so running FNIS near the end, right before making the bashed patch, probably requires being re-done, which then means a new SRLEELOTD Profile as the last mod. What about the rest (Khajiit Ears/Great Equalizer/No More Dragon LODs scripts, Bashed Patch, TexGen, DynDOLOD, ASIS, DSR) - any of those have to be redone as well? EDIT: Is there maybe a way to edit MCM via an ini or something like that? Might allow me to make the necessary changes the game won't allow. -

Processor: i3-7100 @ 3.9K GHzMotherboard: MSI MS 7A71Ram: 16 GBGPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 TiOS: Windows 10 on 120GB SSDGames: 2.7 TB drive (not SSD) Still in the Statue of Mara room trying to set up the game. Getting 56-59FPS with MCM open, ~20 FPS when just standing. Is this due to poor hardware on my part, or did I misread the settings for the .inis? Also, several of the MCMs will not work for me - once I click on them in the left list in the MCM, they do not load in the right, and from then until I quit the game (usually with Ctrl+Alt+Del) my mouse clicks do not register. iNeed and Wearable Lanterns are two in particular. -

I may be going crazy, but was there some mod/mods we were supposed to leave de-activated until after getting through the cave with either Ralof or Hadvar? -

Is it an issue that the FNIS generated files and Bashed Patch 0 are also in the Overwrite folder? Do they need to be separated as their own mod(s) first? EDIT: Or, if the SkyProc Patchers folder and ASIS.esp are the only changes the patcher makes (doesn't affect Overwrite\scripts, Overwrite\meshes, Overwrite\tools, Overwrite\Bashed Patch, 0.esp, etc.) then can I just manually cut and paste the SkyProc Patchers folder and ASIS.esp from the MO\Overwrite folder into a separate folder in MO\Mods? Sorry, I wasn't clear. I am asking if there's any difference between them. Like, is doing it in one equivalent to doing it in the other? -

https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Darth_mathias/SRLE_Extended_Legacy_of_The_Dragonborn#ASIS . . . but how do you access the configuration menu? How do you cause it to generate those files? It doesn't seem to be either an executable or a script, so how are we to "run" it? -

For Bash Tags, is adding (or removing) them via Edit Metadata in LOOT just as good as doing it from Wrye Bash? Or if those two are different somehow, how (functionally) are they different? -

Sorry, I should have clarified - it's not Greek to me because you didn't explain it well, but because I just have no knowledge of programming. It's not you, it's me. I don't know what a "NecroLichRace record" is, nor a "dirty edit". Tangentially, do you have any idea(s) regarding the " 'unit' expected' but 'he' found " issue? I've restarted TES5Edit, MO, de- and re-activated some plugins . . . nothing. -

Well, I obviously have a lot to learn, so thanks for enlightening me on what doesn't need to be redone :) (although I still haven't the foggiest how to distinguish on my own what does vs doesn't need to be redone, other than annoyingly asking about every single thing, since I don't know what's actually going on under the bonnet). And that paragraph is utter Greek to me. -

Immediately upon attempting to run the The Great Equalizer script, (and this didn't happen any of the times before) a popup appears saying: 'unit' expected but 'he' found Anyone know what is causing this? Or how to fix it? -

Okay, implying I needed to uninstall Steam and delete my MO folder was a bit of hyberbole, ja :) But there is plenty of ambiguity regarding whether to install main files, updates, hotfixes, optional files, miscellaneous files, and old versions as separate, merged, or somewhere in between - with a few exceptions, that's left up to the individual to choose, and sometimes even when there is a specific way to do it the directions don't say that. I will keep monitoring the changelog, Darth's plugin and mod lists, etc. Ron Hiler's guide was somewhat helpful at least to see someone do it step by step but so much has changed in the last two years, even more than just mod version updates. At least I know all this uninstalling and reinstalling is making me more familiar with it? Besides, once I have a full baseline install of SRLEELOTD (well, two, because of the mods that are Player-Character-gender specific), if I wanted to add any mods, like, say, a follower, I'd have to do a large portion of the build over again anyway, since any mod that affects followers and all mods that affect that mod, and the merges it and all of its dependents are part of, have to be redone, and the xEdit scripts have to be rerun, bashed patches re-created, etc. Like with Undeath Classical here, since the three Undeaths have to be cleaned simultaneously (in same xEdit session), I have to reinstall all of them, plus all Undeath patches, plus all merges based on the Undeath mods or their patches, plus re-run any scripts that included Undeath mods/patches, the TexGens/DynDOLODs, etc. I'm not complaining, it's a learning experience. -
