  1. Never mind, I see what it's saying now - WB will deactivate (in MO) any mods that are left checked in the popup, and the only mods it will use in the bashed patch are ones deactivated in MO.
  2. From the guide: "If a mod is marked "NoMerge", simply uncheck the box next to it then click [Ok]. This will deactivate the mod files not marked "NoMerge" and they will be merged into the bashed patch." In my popup: "The following mods should be deactivated prior to building the patch: Mergeable: Khajiit Ears Show No More Dragon LODs The Great Equalizer Mergable, but tagged 'NoMerge' WM Trap Fixes Unlike what the guide says, when I click the box next to WM Trap Fixes to uncheck it, it does not 'deactivate the mod files not marked "NoMerge"'. I understand I need to uncheck WM Trap Fixes, but do I also uncheck the other three?
  3. So install Faction Crossbows, install the FC WAFR patch and "merge" them, then remove all bash tags (which I didn't see), then after making the Weapons_Armor Merged esp add those two Bash Tags in. Got it.
  4. From a fresh install of the Faction Crossbows mod, Wrye Bash's Bash Tags box isn't showing anything, so I couldn't "remove" them that way - I went into LOOT and edited the Metadata to remove both of those tags. Hopefully that's the right way to do it? In the Merge list, when it says underneath "Bash Tag Update Required", does that mean add the listed tags or remove them? Or is it conditional? For example, the WEAPONS & ARMORS MERGE from https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Darth_mathias/SRLE_Extended_Legacy_of_The_Dragonborn_Merges_Page#WEAPONS_.26_ARMORS_MERGE
  5. Brilliant. And ja, when it comes to modding, programming, etc., I accept the title of "Idiot" since I don't know any of the things people with modding experience understand intuitively, and I am someone who likes everything precise and specific and exact. Happy wife, happy life ;)
  6. Thanks mate. regarding FC, I had deactivated it in the left pane initially, but when I saw it on that list (https://wiki.step-pro...nborn#Wrye_Bash) I reactivated it for the patch since I assumed its presence there meant it was needed. So, if I understand you, I should not have reactivated it for the Bashed Patch and need to rebuild without it. Wouldn't the reminder about the bash tags in Faction Crossbows be better right before the section about the Merge Plugins standalone, if we're not going to use Faction Crossbows.esp on its own after that?
  7. After running TexGen.exe, I selected [Exit] to close the window, but upon navigating to <Mod Organizer Path>/overwrite, there was no DynDOLOD-temp folder there. Also, for the Bashed Patch, Faction Crossbows is one of the mods listed as a component (https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Darth_mathias/SRLE_Extended_Legacy_of_The_Dragonborn#Wrye_Bash) but we already merged it earlier to save the .esp slot? Yet when I deactivate it in MO now the Bashed Patch, 0.esp says it is missing Faction Crossbows.esp.
  8. Is it true that we should make the Bashed Patch with the FNIS output info still in the Overwrite folder? ("No further action is required") When I made the Bashed Patch, following (I believe) the directions exactly, some of the mods from the list under Idiot Check that needed Bash Tag updates prior to making the Bashed Patch were not even in the list that WB used to make the patch. Is that to be expected, or did I do something(s) wrong?
  9. So if I understand you correctly, the Bash Tags in the Description box are irrelevant; only the ones in the Bash Tags box matter.
  10. Okay, sorry for being unclear. My question is how do I remove bash tags if there are none in the Bash Tags box? Have they already been removed? Or does that line of text in the Description box need to be deleted? Or what? And thanks for the clarity on the XX number.
  11. Also, referring to the CWIELnFXPatch.esp needing to be made compatible with the latest version of ELFX, when it talks about "(xx refers to the same number as EnhancedLightsandFX.esp replace the xx part with these 2 number)" - what two numbers? What "same number as EnhancedLightsandFX.esp"?
  12. When I try to edit Faction Crossbows in WB, before installing the WAFR patch, the "Bash Tags" box in the lower right is empty. After installing the patch as a merge, the box is still empty, but in the "Description" box there is now the line "{{BASH:Delev,Relev}}". Will deleting this line of text satisfy "All Bash Tags for Faction Crossbows.esp need to be removed using Wrye Bash before merging this mod"? I realise I will have to rebuild my Weapons and Armor merged patch after this.
  13. Good evening. Just finished Conflict Resolution and about to do the Run xEdit Scripts portion. Only question I have atm is that LOOT tells me AetheriumSwordsnArmor.esp has 4 ITMs. Can I clean it or should I ignore it like Windhelm Lighthouse.esp?
  14. If I want the "Domestic" version of SkyTEST, since the .esms are named the same, can I just delete the .esm in the original file, and cut+paste the "Domestic" .esm into the original mod's folder? Does the meta.ini from the domestic version matter?
  15. Also it looks like the "The Ordinary Women - USLEEP.esp" plugin required by the [sRLE Extended LOTD - NPC Retexture Merged] plugin isn't listed anywhere in the SRLE guide - maybe add https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/79112/? somewhere in that section, and remind users to delete the esp after installing.
  16. 1 & 2 - understood, was attempting to do some sleuthing based on an inference on what the +--+-+ and such meant, but it seems I was wrong. 3 - so we can assume when s/he updates his page, the moderators here will change the message; got it. 4-7 I only ask because I've been told before, even by Lexy herself, that the only ones to "merge" (overwrite) are updates or hotfixes; optional files, miscellaneous files, or other main files should not be "merged". I am aware I'm going a little more "by the book" than is perhaps ultimately necessary, but that's because I'm just starting out and I feel it's better to err on the side of caution in this sort of scenario. But I guess sometimes I have to let go of the ladder rung to grab the next one. So you're saying that as far as "merging" mod archives (not actual plugin files) it's generally pretty safe? For example, on the Seranaholic Nexus page, it tells downloaders to merge the 1.8 HR skin texture with the 1.8 main file, but in Darth's modlist they're separated - there's no good reason for him to have done that? Or the left-pane separate mods for Unique Flowers & Plants's data files and its replacer esp file - seems to me it's be much simpler just to move the esp to the data folder and delete the esp's former folder?
  17. Almost ready to start the 'merging the plugins' phase, but I have some niggling questions before I do. A lot of them pertain to the general guideline of which kinds of files to "merge" (not a plugin merge) when installing and which not to unless told otherwise. 1) on Darth's modlist, #108 is "Even Better Quest Objectives Patches", different than #107 "Even Better Quest Objectives". I am not sure what the colour coding and the +++, ---, etc. mean, but it seems that the ones with fewer symbols are the actual mods on the Nexus (or elsewhere), while the mods with a lot are the product of merges. Thus, #108 "Even Better Quest Objectives Patches" seems to be a mod in and of itself, yet the SRLEELOTD guide does not mention it, and I can't find it anywhere. 2) same for #261 "Trees and Flora esps" 3) on the SRLEELOTD page, under [Advanced Adversary Encounters Patches], it says to use "Advanced Adversary Encounters Patches - 2.75" from the Nexus and then says to use one from dropbox "until SirJesto Updates his Nexus Page". How do we know if he has updated his page yet? Which one should I be using? 4) under [skyrim Flora Overhaul - SRLE Extended LotD], one of the main files to download is "SFO Billboards for v2.5b". I can't see any instructions telling us to merge it, and it's a main file so it doesn't automatically get merged, but it isn't its own mod in Darth's modlist like the other main file and both of the optionals are. 5) under [Majestic Mountains], I downloaded the optional (no automatic merge) file "2. Majestic Mountains Darkside Lod Pack" but unlike the main file it is not on Darth's modlist. Do we merge it? Delete it? 6) under [unique Grasses and Groundcovers - Nature and Landscape Enhancement], I downloaded both of the optional files "Fall Forest Leaves Texture Replacement" and "Mindflux Grass", but they are not auto-merge files and they aren't in Darth's modlist. What do I do with them? 7) under [High Quality LODs], I downloaded both of the Main files (High-Res Meshes, Med-Res Normals) but neither of them are in Darth's modlist. Where do they go? I think that's it . . . for now, anyway.
  18. For [sRLE Extended LOTD - NPC Retextures - Conflict Resolution], the file to download - "SRLE Extended LOTD - NPC Retextures - Conflict Resolution" is actually titled "SRLE Extended LOTD - NPC Retextures - Conflict Resolution (Option 2)". They must have changed the name recently.
  19. Under [The Eyes Of Beauty], for the TES5Edit cleaning instructions, please add a step. Between "Right-click TheEyesofBeauty.esp>"Worldspace" and select "Remove"." and "Click the [X] in the upper right hand corner, uncheck "Backup plugins", and click [OK]." stating that when a popup appears asking "Are you sure you want to permanently remove GRUP Top "World" and all other records it contains?" to click "Yes".
  20. Also - aMB's Imperial Forts is hidden. I managed to get what I assume is the main file, but I cannot find "OPTIONAL FILES - amb forts exterior wall vanilla style 2k". Does anyone have this file who could upload and post or pm me the link to that file?
  21. For the Darkwater Crossing mod, it lists a fix only needed if one has some mods that are no longer on the Nexus (well, they are, under The Care Taker, but that's neither here nor there). Is there any reason that is mentioned, since the Spice of Life mods aren't part of SRLEELotD? I mean, Darth doesn't mention fixes that are needed for other mods that aren't part of SRLEELotD . . .
  22. Thank you, berndaroy. I will do that. Just for your information, I am looking at https://modwat.ch/u/Darth_mathias/modlist, which is different than https://modwat.ch/u/Darth_mathias/plugins, the list of just the masters/plugins. The modlist appears to include many mods without .esms or .esps.
  23. Same for the two optional files on [unique Grasses and Groundcovers - Nature and Landscape Enhancement]
  24. For Skyrim Flora Overhaul, I see there are two Main Files and two optional files to download - my question is regarding one of the main files, "SFO Billboards for v2.5b". It is not an update or hotfix, so barring special instructions I know to leave it as its own mod (not merged with another), but I cannot find it in Darth's modlist - only two mods with the term "billboards", 246-248 have the other three from the guide but SFO Billboards is absent, and no mods with "SFO". How ought I to incorporate the "SFO Billboards for v2.5b" file into my SRLEELotD build?
  25. Thanks. I will read up on that link.
