SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn
alphakay1488 replied to Darth_mathias's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I think that as long as the mod is activated in the left pane of MO the .esp(s) will appear in the right pane, and as long as those are checked they will show up when you run TES5Edit. -

Good to know I have a partner in this undertaking, haha. At the moment my only concerns stem from essentially two sources: one, having trouble coming up with the backstory/roleplaying aspect for someone who could fill this museum (e.g. pledging allegiance to all the Daedra, and saving the world from Alduin, AND being the leader of guilds of thieves and assassins AND ALSO leading the honourable Companions . . . etc.). And secondly (and more importantly) I haven't the foggiest about programming/modding - and besides, the changelog updates every day or two. I guess I just love agonising over a game designed for fun and entertainment - shouldn't be long now until my time spent re-installing updated mods exceeds my Skyrim playtime ;) hehe don't get me wrong, I am infinitely grateful for those who have helped me through creating this guide and answering questions. I probably would have just stopped playing years ago if it weren't for them. But now that I'm not the only one maybe Darth and Lexy won't hate me so much ;) -

Okay, in the meantime while I hope to hear from others (surely I can't be the ONLY Skyrim player who wants a full museum) I will try this. What do you mean by "filter for conflict losers", or to what "custom filters out there" are you referring? -

Mod Greg told me this was the best place to post this question even though it's not exactly about the SRLEELotD build itself: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, Firstly, what are mods that tangibly add to the museum (contain items for displays) but are not part of the full SRLEELotD build? So far I have found Wyrmstooth, Oblivion Artifact Pack mod (Nexus ID #24806), and Artifacts of Boethiah (#67987). Secondly, for anyone who has experience using it/them along with the SRLEELotD setup, what conflicts presented themselves and how are they resolved? -
Okay, I'll do that. I didn't before because I didn't know if that was allowed since it's asking about mods that aren't part of that setup. Please close this topic.

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, I *think?* this is the right forum to ask this (if not, can an admin please move it?) but, firstly, what are mods that tangibly add to the museum but are not part of the full SRLEELotD build - one I know of is the Oblivion Artifact Pack mod (Nexus ID #24806) - and secondly, if anyone has experience using it along with the SRLEELotD setup, what conflicts presented themselves and how are they resolved?

As far as switching from the FO4 xEdit to the TES5, I'm not sure what that means for the end user. Is it merely a matter of replacing the old version with the new, or do we have to redo some/all of the script outputs, or what? Edit: I assume, at minimum, we need to delete the old "TES5Edit.exe" and "Fallout4.Hardcoded.keep.this.with.the . . ." .dat file and replace them with the new "TES5Edit.exe" and "Skyrim.Hardcoded.keep.this.with.the . . ." .dat file? -

I guess I wasn't clear lol. OFC I am not talking about changing sex mid-game :) I'm saying, for example: -Installed base SRLEELOTD profile in MO as instructed with two installs of those three mods; only one gender is checked in left pane (in my case it's female, only because I installed male first, no real reason). -Starting first character, a female, so I copy base MO profile and rename it to reflect my character. -Some time later, want to start another character, a male, so I again copy the base MO profile and rename the new one for my new character. At this point, besides unchecking the female options and checking the male options of those three mods, and then runnning FNIS again, what other "The Big Push Towards The End" steps do I also need to take to ensure it works properly. -

Since three mods (DSAMG, FNIS PCEA 2 - Player Exclusive Animations (Dynamic), and Realistic Animation Project - Movement) are installed differently depending on whether the player character will be male or female, I installed each of them twice, named differently so I could distinguish which is which and switch by simply checking the three for the one one is using and unchecking the three for the opposite gender in the left pane. However, since we also have to rerun FNIS when that happens, I am wondering if there are any other "Big Push At The End" steps that also have to be redone. I doubt TexGen or DynDOLOD, but ASIS? Khajiit Ears Show? No idea. -

So if I don't know how to do this (this specifically - I know how to get patches), is it bad enough to leave mod out? Will it destroy a playthrough? Anyone either using it or know enough about any conflicts present? -

Is the only reason Wyrmstooth isn't in here because it's not on the Nexus? Or do Lexy/Darth not like it/compatibility issues/etc.? Author recently (within last month) allowed public sharing again (although that may have reversed again?). -

Well since I don't know how to check/clean, but both the most recent comments and the majority indicate it is now fine, I will go with that and not worry. -

So . . . are we doing something about this? Or does nothing need to be done? I'm not seeing guidance in here or on the install guide page. -

Ja, I just reinstalled ELFX with the "hardcore" mode that is supposed to make dungeons dark and it's well-lit enough that torches aren't needed. Nevertheless, unimmersive well-lit dungeons are better than constant lag and CsTD. And I just spent like ~1k re-modernising this machine not six months ago - everything except the power supply and the case. *le sigh* -

Well, since it seems somehow the one in the guide is too much for my computer, I realise it's about personal preference, but I've no idea on the spectrum from least- to most-taxing, where the one in the guide falls. Is it already toward the bottom end, in which case I'd have to search far and wide just to find one, let alone one I like? Or is it one of the most intense, and the majority I test out would work better? I suspect the former, given the guide's focus on better graphics that are still performance-friendly, but maybe I'm wrong. -

Lexy, I think I may need to adjust it then; I had just Sofia and Toccata (hadn't gotten to Riften by Lvl 2) but enemies were dying easily, I didn't even need to fight. Maybe it's just because I'm such a low level the enemy balancing hasn't kicked in? What do you mean a "different" ENB? There is more than one? You mean an older version than .319? -

Nozzer, I only changed that one thing and this is what it is now. It should be exactly what the guide says (except Lexy's suggestion), but if I have anything wrong please let me know. Wow. I mean, take this with a grain of salt since it's been less than an hour, but I made the enblocal change and *instantaneously* it was a new game. And I've played thousands of hours without ever having any kind of an ENB, so that doesn't really bother me. The only thing now, if it's an easy fix, is that the contrast is a bit too high - darks are too dark and lights are too light. (E.G. My cloak atm is bright red with an imperial logo, and in broad daylight on the plains of Whiterun it's solid black if the sun is in front of me.) But even if I can't fix that, it's 100x more playable. EDIT: Also, dungeons are too bright now, but maybe ELFX has an option to correct this? EDIT 2: Are the combat settings for Wildcat, Violens, etc. based on being alone? Having Sofia, Inigo, AND Toccata with you? Or what? -

I mean, I haven't made today's change regarding HLE-SIC edition yet, but everything else is as stated. I am "unfamiliar" with all of them in the sense that I don't know how they work behind the curtain, just what they're for on a very end-user level, hence why I just do exactly what the guide says, no creative changes. Thanks for the well-wishes, I hope I can figure it out. I'll try it with the edit to enblocal.ini. As for "wothout DynDOLOD" do you just mean unchecking the DynDOLOD mods in the left MO panel (TexGen Output and Worlds output)? -

Really feeling quite baffled. As far as I can tell, I meticulously followed the guide exactly (except for changing UNPB to UNP), including all the graphics suggestions, and when I my hardware specs a few days ago Lexy confirmed they should be more than adequate. Nevertheless, I am getting <10 FPS almost everywhere outside, constant stuttering/lag, and getting CTDs probably every hour or so. But if it's not mods or hardware, what is responsible? Quite frustrating. -

I just entered a dungeon and three semi-transparent popups appeared - "ENBSeries : fps X" (X~20), "enbseries.ini", and "Shader parameters" There is also a rotating hourglass cursor offset from the Skyrim cursor but moving with it. "ENBSeries : fps X" window says "Some changes require reloading (Apply button)", but when i click the "<<<<<APPLY CHANGES>>>>>" button below it, it "freezes" for a moment as if applying changes but then doesn't go away after "unfreezing". Anyone know what is causing this and/or what I should do to fix it? -

Ja, mine has infinite load screen as well; logo just spins but menu never comes up. -
In fact, can mods of similar types (e.g. mods that add standalone weapons or armour, house mods, follower mods) more generally be merged together? If so, what are the potential pitfalls to watch out for?
