  1. Thanks for all the info so far guys. I have a couple questions but am pressed for time right now. I still haven't had time to absorb everything. I have a question I feel really dumb asking. When I think of UPS I think of the postal service. lol Is that correct?
  2. First off I don't want to skimp and I am building just the tower. I do not want to tear apart my current tower and will probably give it to my daughter I want something good and that will last 5 to 10 years. I don't need the monitor mouse keyboards ect. I'm already taking into consideration that this may cost $1500. Money really isn't an issue but I don't want to spend it blindly. I know that computers tend to always upgrade but I don't think that I need to update every time a new part comes out. Right now I play on a 46" 1080p TV, A high end 7.1 Surround Sound unit, Logitec G710+ and use a Razor Naga mouse (which I'm going to replace because I don't like wired mice and in wireless mode the battery dies fast) and will probably replace with one of Logitec Mice. At some point I want to go triple screen. Monitors are expensive and I want to go with bigger displays. I am thinking 3 - 40" TVs. My 46" is nice but on triples I think that will be overkill. Even though I haven't really got to play it much except on console my favorite game is Skyrim and I want to be able to use as many texture and scripted mods on it as possible ( I better plan on getting good at TESV5Edit). I also want to play Fallout New Vegas, The Battlefield series, and at some point will probably play crisis. I am also a fan of the Tom Clancy games, and loves the Mass Effect series. I also like to play racing sims. At some point I want to put together a motion simulator. I don't think there are many racing fans in here but I am always considering something like the Simvibe simulator so I will need something that can multitask to a certain degree. This will also serve as my home theater Movie and music wise. I am not caught up in the AMD Intel hype. I am sure that the both are good companies and have their pros and cons. It seems like half the games are made with Intel in mind and the other half are made with AMD in mind. I think I have read or heard that if you combine an AMD PCU with a Radeon GPU that they work together to create a boost that you would not get mixing an Intel CPU with a Radeon GPU (feel free to correct me if I am wrong. and to be honest I am favoring the AMD FX series 8 core CPU. If you look at youtube reviews they say intel is better but there are so many fanboys that I take things with a grain of salt. I think the only difference between SLI and Crossfire is that one is AMD and one is Intel. I probably want to have 2 GPUs to run triple screens. So I will need the Case, PSU, CPU, GPU (that will run at least 2 cards), Some sort of cooling maybe liquid, Ram, Hard Drive 500 GB or 1 TB, SSD 500 GB I am guessing, BRDVD player, Probably as many 3.0 USBs as I can get, I guess a soundcard, and I cant really think of what else goes in a computer off the top of my head. I have Never built a computer before and only have basic computer skills but I believe I put it together and if I feel overwhelmed I'm sure I can pay someone to help me. If I have miss quoted, spelled, forgot, or put any false information up here please correct me because I am going to use this post in other places just to see what kind of replies I get.
  3. I am wanting to build a new PC and so far here are options for CPU and the MB. I Want performance but also want Cost effective because I still have to get the other parts. I want to build it mainly for the Elder scrolls and Fallout series, I am also into Sim Racing so am taking that into account also (maybe a motion cockpit in the future). I don't want my computer to be outdates in a year and I'm not Really a tech head. I am thinking of also doing crossfire or Sli with the videocards and planning on using Radeon R( 280x or 290x. I think the 280x would probly be the best bet since it is the middle ground. Maybe I will Even go 270x since I want to focus on a good cpu and MB because I can get a better graphics card down the road. it is tough dishing out 2 grand at once on a comp. I also want to do water cooled I believe. I am just thinking we can start here for now and I can ask more questions as we go. I will probably cross off the intel 6 cores because they are expensive. and am thinking the LGA 2011 MBs because maybe the next cpu I get can be 6 core. So I'm thinking this combo - Intel Core i7-4820K Ivy Bridge-E 3.7GHz (Turbo 3.9GHz), ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition or ASUS Rampage IV Extreme. I also look at the AMD 8 core cpu and they seem pretty tempting and I think that if you pair them up with a radeon gpu you het like a 100 or 200 percent boost. I don't know if I really want to go Nvidia. Please help me spend my money and tell me your thoughts because I know this is a data driven community. I have even more questions after we make my mind up on this part. If I am spending money in the wrong place please tell me maybe I van go cheaper on MB and more expensive on GPU Edit #1 First off I don't want to skimp and I am building just the tower. Will my PCU still need a heat sink or fan if I am using a liquid cooler
  4. I am hoping someone knowledgeable will help me decide if I should be extracting BSAs. What are the pros and cons, what are examples of mods that I should or shouldn't do it with, how does it affect stability and the new install order tool, If I don't extract them will I still be able to hide texture files so that I can choose what texture s I want to use, and ect. From what Tannin has said latly I'm thinking it is a bad idea and am wondering if he is leaving or extracting his BSAs. I do know that extracting them affects load time but I am looking for a more in depth answer than that.
  5. What are some examples of why you need to hide files within the BSA? are these texture mods?
  6. I have been having issues checking for update for mods
  7. Hi Tannin. I have to quick questions. Do you personally extract BSA's? If you don't extract BSA's does BOSS and LOOT rearrange them as well as the ESPs? I am trying to learn as much as I can about MO and would love to learn the pros and cons about Extracting BSAs from you the creator of MO. Thank you for your time and input.
  8. Have tried it than I will just have other issues. I think it was with Enhaced blood and it I move that than something else will be wrong. lol. My list is to long.
  9. I never thought of hitting the refresh button but I'm still stuck because In my mind Amidianborn should come before CCOR. Im just gonna start over and see what I can come up with. I know a lot of scripts = bad and I have picked a lot of mods with scripts. I'm not a screen archer, I love a pretty skyrim but I prefer gameplay mods over texture mods ever though I seem to have a lot of both lol.
  10. I'm having the same problem as you Wolverine and this script order program is all over the place. I spent an hour last night trying to get my mods ordered right had it down to put amidian born content add on after thieves guild requirements which I can not do because than it will come after CCOR which I can not do because amidianborn needs to be before it. And I don't understand that because if you open up amidianborn conflict tab the thieves guild isn't even in there. So I'm thinking I will look at the mod order warning today and now I have about half a dozen mods out of order and they were mods that I rearranged last night according to what the warning tab told me to do with them. Can it make up its mind. I know Tannin does this for free and he is awesome for that and I know that bugs have to arise in order to figure out the correct programming but boy is this a pain in the butt. And once again let me say thank you Tannin for MO it is way better than Nexus Mod manager and I would never change over. I don't know it this will help any but here are todays warnings Move aMidianBorn Book of Silence - Content Addon (Skyrim Revisited) after Thieves Guild Requirements - No Auto Quest Start BrynjolfMove Provincial Courier Service after aMidianBorn Book of Silence - Content Addon (Skyrim Revisited)Move Better Vampires 6.6 after Provincial Courier ServiceMove Moonlight Tales - Werewolf and Werebear Overhaul after Better Vampires 6.6Move Stealth Skills Rebalanced - COMPLETE - FULL after Moonlight Tales - Werewolf and Werebear OverhaulMove Alternate Start - Live Another Life after Stealth Skills Rebalanced - COMPLETE - FULLI have everything ordered correctly except for the first rule
  11. I am starting a new playthrough and have a few questions. I basically Combined STEP, Skyrim Revisited LE, And some of my own mods. I ran Tes5edit and everything loaded fine. When I start the game it loads to the main menu. When I load a clean save in Helgen cave it crashes Loading in all the mods. What are some reasons for this. I haven't tried to make a conflict patch yet but have made the bashed, Sum and FNIS Patch. I am just goofing off right now to see if my mods will at least load in together. My main question for now is how do you make the spoiler icon so I can put my install list up because I would like for the more experienced to give me their input on the mods I have chosen so far. I also understand you have to uninstall mods till you find the ones that are crashing the game but for not I'm just looking for info. I think in the end I want to come up with a list where I can load a new game up and play countless play throughs with it.
  12. It would be nice to have a video on upgrading MO. I like to delete everything but the downloads, mods and profile folders. I haven't quite figured out which one my executables are in yet so I am always having to redo them.
  13. does enhanced better sorting replace even better quest book names
  14. I have no Idea how to type this question but if a mod doesn't forward a unofficial patch change does that mean that there is a blank spot in the last mod where there is info showing under the unofficial patch? I want to learn how to do conflict resolution and I hope someone is willing to help me out a lil
  15. yes you are probly right will def try that. Y did I even upgrade before your guide said too
  16. I have Skyrim Revisited installed with a bunch of extra Mods. When TES%edit gets to AOS it stops. IT doesn't throw an error it just stays on AOS forever and says loading. Can someone help me problem solve?
  17. that was the problem. Now working
  18. lol That is probly it. I should just revert to MO 1.1.2 huh
  19. yes its activated. I have been using MO for awhile. at some point I had the esps beause they are in my BUM list. I even went in the MO mods directory and opened up the required files mod folder. No esps. Maybe it was the last update
  20. I cant figure out why I don't have these plugins in my load order. Vividian - Weather Patch.esp, Vividian - Torches Preset.esp, and Vividian - Wearable Lanterns.esp. I have redowloaded Vividian Required files, Re installed Vividian Required file, and selected the correct options in the installer, I guess the esp's rould be in the Vividian required files mod. Can anyone help?

  22. Hello Neo. I was wondering what is your plan with Skyrim Revisited? There are a lot mods such as interface, Fixes, Gameplay and so on In STEP that I would love to see in Skyrim revisited. To be honest I know the STEP team works hard on their guide and I wish I had half the knowledge you guys have but I could care less about a vanilla Skyrim I think a majority of us want a better / fun Skyrim. I am just curious because I know that STEP 3.0 is going to be a starting point for packs and the packs there are now have a lot of overlapping mods Cutting Room Floor is a good example it is in STEP, SR and REGS and in each guide it is in a different location in the install order. It just seems to me what really needs to happen is there needs to be a mega guide with everything like the original Skyrim Revisited so novice people like me can follow it. I noticed you keep your guide updated but really haven't been adding anything to it. I look for updates to your guide religiously and I'm sure quite a few others do also. I know you are testing mods and there is also real life. I guess part of my question is are you waiting for STEP 3.0 for things to be finalized (not that I think that will happen while people continue to mod for Skyrim) or do you have other plans. One thing I would like to do before I end this is thank Neo, CJ from Regs, the STEP team and all the Modders because you guys make an already awesome game that much better.
  23. That is why it seems dumb because it is causing miss information. Tannin or Wolverine need to weigh in on this for clarification. It would just be nice to see it discussed.
