Windows 10 - Overall Review and Modding
Razorsedge877 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Banter Inn
Not that I'm a computer expert. Lucky I even how to turn this thing on. But its so entertaining watching people complain about start buttons and the app desktop on windows 8. My computer isn't much different than it was when it was windows 7. Why wouldn't there be a desktop screen. Maybe from a programmers perspective a few inconveniences probably occur but for GQ public it will pretty much be the same thing. People complain about the dumbest things in life sometimes. -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
Razorsedge877 replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
I'm a little confused. When I update DyndoLOD I delete my old esp than reinstall the mod so That I have a fresh esp and than I run tes5edit. After that I put the folders from the output into a mod. In my mind that is like a fresh start. Are ther other steps I should be taking? -
Arissa the wandring rogue and Skyrim Revisited
Razorsedge877 replied to Razorsedge877's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I am taking a guess that "Arissa 2.x - Convenient Horses 5.0 Patch" would be installed after "EFF Compatibility Collection Patch for EFF and CH" or else Arissa's patch is redundant. Did you also use the UNPB Body with the mature skin texture option So that the armors fit right? -

I forgot to mention only the DLC content is redundant and not the HiRes DLC -

I use Tonys optimized files and they are also redundant. I just disabled them today -

How long does DynoLOD take for you Neo. Its taking 8 minutes on my system and it used to take about 20. I'm wondering if I am messing something up or if v1.28 is just faster -

In the guide under the heading "Extract Dialogue Views and Script Source" - Open Scripts.rar found in the Skyrim/Data folder and extract all files in place. Does that basically mean Open Skyrim/Data folder and extract Scripts.rar, So now the data folder also has a scripts folder in it? -
MY game is not working right
Razorsedge877 replied to Razorsedge877's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I figured out the problem. I bought an Asus 28" ROG Gaming monitor that is able to play at 144hz and Skyrim can only play at 60hz, maybe 120hz. I ordered this monitor from Best Buy because it was $50 cheaper than anywhere else even Newegg and the shipping was free. Best part is I had it in 2 days. Opened it up and there was a dead pixel right in the middle of the screen. I had 15 days to return it so I tried it out for a week. After I took it back and ordered a new one I went home and hooked my computer up to my tv. Skyrim worked perfect. So Than I knew it was the monitor. The day after I ordered my 2nd monitor my new one arrive. pretty fast shipping both times and it was free. Hooked it up and set the refresh rate to 60hz and Skyrim works now. Its a pretty nice monitor. I downsized from my 50" tv which is a big change but my monitor has a nicer picture and the screen shows more real estate than my tv due to higher resolution. -

I'm not sure if vsync is on or not. I'm stuck at work fun fun. would vsync in my graphics driver or skyrim launcher. -
I wanted to reinstall my skyrim but now when I start the game the wagons are flipping over each other as soon as the title screen starts up. I had SRLE installed in MO but I am having this issue with an unmodded game launching it from the Skyrim launcher. I was thinking of reinstalling my operating system but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions?

I have never used merge patch and I get the un-deletable "Load After" rule. I have completely uninstalled LOOT and reinstalled it but all of my changes were still saved. There must be a LOOT Master list save in a folder other than the LOOT Folder. -

I don't have a TES5EditMerge Patch in my load order and as far as I know have never generated one. Unless I made that rule in LOOT unknowingly. But LOOT wont let me delete it -

I was wondering if you could run LOOT and see if your Bashed Patch card says the same thing with the TES5Merged esp in the load after tab. I'm just curious if yours says it also. I tried to delete my LOOT master list so I can redo the user rules but haven't found it yet. Its kind of like relearning BUM all over -

I just had to turn off Global Priority in LOOT for the Bashed Patch. In the LOOT Load After Tab TES5Merged.esp is listed so my Bashed Patch is ending up after my ASIS Dependency.esp. Anyone else have to do this or am I doing something wrong? -

When I updated Vividian ENB the only files I have in ENB Manager are enblocal.ini, enbseries(folder), and enbseries.ini. Is this correct? -

I just got in and was reading the dyndolod thread. Someone just posted the same issue with no skse folder. Sheson just updated the mod (1.28) to fix it -

I have a few questions about the end of the guide. I have seen similar questions asked before and a few that haven't been asked. I know the questions are kind of generic and hope that I covered them all but maybe they can be added somewhere in the guide. #1 Should we remerge all of our merged files every time Merge Plugin gets updated? #2 Should we rerun RS Patcher every time it is updated/one of its masters are updated? #3 Should we only update FORES when it is updated/new animation mods are added or updated? #4 Should we only update Bashed Patch when it or one of its masters are updated/ new mod added to guide? #5 Should SUM be updated every time an existing mod is updated or added to the guide? #6 Should Dynolod be updated every time it is updated/or any structure or landscape mod is added -

Hi Neo. I was wondering why you chose the current weather setup instead of Purity? I noticed you started the Purity thread on the STEP Forums -

When I do the second step installing Vividian, should the only files I see in ENB Managers files pane be enblocal.ini (created in step #1), enbseries folder, and enb series.ini? -

When I did my Vividian merge tonight, my meshes, textures and Vividian install files didn't end up in my overwrite folder. Did something go wrong? I'm guessing I can just copy them into the merged mod -
