  1. 1. Okay, maybe someone uptodate will confirm/deny 2. If you go to the main guide and find the "[Frostfall - Hypothermia Camping Survival Patches]" subsection, it lists a patch/package from the Guide's Patch Central - Optional Files that is not there, but in the regular Requiem Patch Central there are patches for both Frostfall and Campfire. Hence I wonder if those are sufficient. 3, 4, 5. Okay, I see.
  2. I am interested in this thing, I do want to tweak a few things, but that's idk, 2% of everything you've got here. The other 98% I like, which is why I'm trying to make it work and compromise on things like followers I won't use and so, the guide is an awesome thing and at its core it's exactly what I want. I even installed the damned Falskaar for it :P Just to mess with the files as little possible. I know it might seem like I'm whining or whatnot, but I really am not. I appreciate what you've created here so very much. I just want to customize it a wee little bit :< There simply are some additional things I care about in Skyrim (the looks of children or positioning books on shelves, crap like that) and I'm trying to find a way to tack them on. They don't actually change the essence of this install though. I like your thing more than I like that alternative thing, the other has even more mods I don't want or need, not to mention I got this one nearly complete and already made peace with 99% of the things I was in disagreement about at first :p I think the only remaining points of stubborness for me are those children (I spend a lot of time playing at home and looking at those fugly faces) and the Live Another Life. The rest is just some small mods that add this or that, but not replace/conflict with anything, as far as I could research. I'm fine with some random kids looking vanilla, I'll experiment with RS Children and its patches, load them somewhere near the top so they don't overwrite anything important. Maybe it will be fine. Why does it touch every NPC and not just children though? That makes little sense. I'll pass on the iNPC Don't Call Me DB/MAS Immersion patches then. Thanks and good to know. I can live with that. I plan to start Alternate Start as the most unintrusive beginning I can find so it doesn't have to modify any factions or NPCs. I know something can go wrong somewhere there, but I think it's worth the risk for me, to be honest. I haven't played that Skyrim main quest in forever, I don't want to miss out on the full experience. And I just really like LAL. ### Install-wise. I have a problem/got confused when it comes to a few entries regarding the patches and the SRLE packages. 1. On the list (SRLE_LOTD_Reqtified_Integration_Page) there is an entry saying "Requiem - ECTV" I'm not sure what that is. I found two ECTV related things in the Core and Optional packages, one is "crpatch__ectv.esp" I figured it would be the one that goes after Claralux though? And the other is "ECTV_merged.esp" but that's the name of the plugin that ought to be created in the merge part of the guide, so I'm not sure what that is or what the Requiem - ECTV should be :s 2. That missing Frostfall pack in the "Optional Files" from the patch pack makes me wonder, but there are survival patches for Requiem provided elsewhere. Is that something necessary that's missing/planned for later or are those other patches sufficient? I'm a bit confused here too. 3. There's also a "Settlements_Expanded_with_Inns_Merged.esp" I didn't find it mentioned anywhere in the guide. Is this just another thing that I'm supposed to make in merge part and not use from the package? Or does it serve some purpose? 4. "Legacy of the Dragonborn" says it only opens up parts for installed mods if the .esp for them is present. I wonder if it's somehow changed in the CR patch when it comes to the BadGremlin's mods? Since they are to be merged. Or if I should leave them unmerged if I want something to appear in the museum? 5. Where should the "Notice Board Expansion Module" from the Legacy patch cental optional files go? Into the patches folder? A separate one installed somewhere near Legacy? Nowhere?
  3. Evening', I was going through the left-side ordering guide, making sure things are okay. I found a minor thingie for you - a duplicate entry of the "Boat Bobbing" sneaked its way into the Treasure Hunts section. Also, a bunch of entries doesn't mesh with the download guide in that in download the folders are more consolidated (include patches alongside the main file) whereas in the left-side ordering they're not. I figure that's completely inconsequential and the download guide is the one up to date, but just mentioning it since I'm already mentioning things. # And small question - when it comes to things like the "Moon and Star" Immersion plugin and from "iNPC" Don't Call me Dragonborn - should I get those? Or are they problematic? I decided to use "Live Another Life" instead of "Skyrim Unbound" in the end, because the latter cuts out the beginning of the quest and I want to play through it. Hope it will be okay, I mean it's Art's mod so can't be too bad, can it. I just really prefer it, it feels more organic and less "set your spawns in MCM" kind of thing on top of the cut quest and an intro that bugged for me. # Also I noticed in the changelog of the guide that RS Children used to be included. Why were they cut? I really want that mod, but I'd like to know why it got booted. Was it crashing something? :<
  4. @Nozzer66 Thanks, that sounds like a neat and easy solution. Unsure if I did it wrong or if the ECTV_Merged is just not complete yet (since Diana said it's all WIP still), it gave me no records when I ran the script on it and picked Falskaar as the master to check (https://imgur.com/a/7qziW), but I'll try it again tomorrow or so when I can try it with other patches that require Falskaar. I haven't yet activated all the necessary mods for the other CR patches, thought I'd test the visuals before doing gameplay, but it's time to move I guess. Well, tomorrow. Good night meanwhile and sweet dreams. Also I'm not even thinking of touching any light/weather mods with my grubby hands. Worry not, I won't come here crying for help in doing that :D:D I just accepted Claralux and whatever else was in the guide mod-by-mod and not even looking twice at it. Nuh.
  5. Bah, tried to do it, but what I've learned about the program wasn't sufficient and the YT videos/forum answers don't seem to apply to something like this. All they say is remove masters and call it a day. I have failed in research and in the task, might have to resort to installing Falskaar and just ignoring it, as much as I dislike having an unnecessary big content clogging things down and taking space .-. If I never go to the location, will it have much impact on the game? Or will the files just sit quietly in the folder forgotten and dormant with no impact on loading times etc? Unsure how it works in Skyrim's engine thingie. Oh well. Thank you for your clues anyhow, appreciated, and sorry for asking only to end up failing :< I feel bad now.
  6. Okay, good to know. I think I caught one more similar thing on the way (not-install and then do something with it), but for the life of me I cannot remember where it was. Maybe I hallucinated it. Or maybe it's gone already. Anyway, I re-downloaded and re-installed the Minor Arcana from scratch and found the second folder this time so that's all good. I've also familiarized myself a little bit with xEdit so I might be able to clear those Falskaar records from the patches, however it would seem I need the Falskaar.esp for it. Does that mean I need to download the whole beast or could I acquire it somewhere separately?
  7. Aye, I just thought I'd point it out to help in case it was a valid catch. As for the 'facegeom' I checked in both, just in case. Nowhere to be found. The other folder I found and removed. If it should be there, I'll try to redownload it in the evening when I'm home. Maybe something got eaten/overwritten on the way. Had weirder things happen, learned to double-check everything after finding some suspiciously empty folders before (I think after MO crashed). Idk, also had the .bsa unpacker ninja-turn off and had to hunt all the new .bsa archives for reinstall, psh :D Thanks for confirming it should be there, I will make sure to install this properly. Damn, modding Skyrim even with a guide is an adventure longer than the original questline takes in vanilla.
  8. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but I think I see a small contradiction in the guide by the "Minor Arcana": First is says: "Special Installation: Do not install the following file(s) and/or folder(s): Requiem - Minor Arcana - USLEEP patch.esp"And then: "Special Installation: CUT and PASTE the following esps into a different mod folder named Requiem - Minor Arcana USLEEP Patch: Requiem - Minor Arcana - USLEEP patch.esp" I assume it ought to be installed and then moved, yes? #### Also this folder doesn't seem to appear: meshes/actors/character/facegendata/facegeom/skyrim.esm The 'facegeom'. Maybe something changed? Or is my package broken. I've tried installing it twice, same effect.
  9. Hm, I knew it was a WIP, but I thought the WIP part was adding more mods, like the palaces, that I'd rather skip. So I wanted to set up just what was there with the current version of the guide. But if those present mods aren't finished with patches yet I'll leave it alone for now. @Paul I see. I'll look into it, I suppose. Hoped it could be that easy, but it never is, is it :<
  10. Well, okay then, I installed all of them. I was worried mostly about combining mods in the big towns moreso than separate villages, but maybe it will be okay, I think ETaC didn't change many of those actually. I checked Markarth with Sky city (description said it adds a lot of stuff) and maybe it's not baby smooth, but it will do. That leaves me with just the persistent Falskaar problem - I have removed (well, changed) the master dependency of ECTV_Merged from Falskaar.esm to Skyrim.esm (doubling the latter) with Wrye Bash. This might've been a stupid thing to do, I got a copy of the untouched .esm if so. You said earlier that the Falskaar entries in the patches are small and irrelevant, do I need to remove them some smart way? Or is this gonna be okay with just master replaced? I assume I have to go through the merging section to really see if it works out though because of the need of LCEM_merged plugin to activate the patch. Please don't facepalm too hard if I made a big stupid, it's a waste of perfectly good face.
  11. Just one question this time. I've tried running the game with the guide's core graphical enhancements and it seems to be mostly fine, the FPS can stutter for a moment but seems to stop once the cell is loaded, it's definitely smooth enough to play and very pretty :) The question I have is about the towns. Having checked the optional mods I think running "ETaC" and "Dawn of Skyrim" together is the best my PC can do, adding JK's stuff on top of it might be an overkill. On the "DoS" page it says it's 100% compatible with "ETaC" so I'd like to ask if the guide's ECTV patch is still needed for those? Do I need to go all-or-none here or will these two just play nice without the patch? Then again, if they're compatible why did a cow eat some poor fishmonger's market stand (and perhaps fishmonger too, while at it)?! :D https://i.imgur.com/yqyJwEa.jpg Levitating fish. Magic, truly. [i have only activated the visual mods for this to test performance, it's textures, ETaC, and DoS, no shenanigans]
  12. Okay, got it. Guess I'll just patiently wait.
  13. Maybe someone else will get a moment to take a look at that DDsopt guide then an tell me what's up. I don't want to do something gamebreaking there, but it feels like I'm missing something. Also, could anyone point me to where I could find out how to make that trivial patch for the potion bottles? Would be grateful. I'll give those trees a try then, and ETAC and other visual mods and just see how they all work before bothering with gameplay mods. Guess that will make most sense. Got my character visual mods, .inis, and ENB installed and tested already so it seems like a fine next step before I get any merging or patching or whatnot done. ### As for the Frosfall thing, I mean this part of the guide: "Frostfall - Hypothermia Camping Survival Patches] Patch CentralSRLE Legacy of the Dragonborn Reqtified Patch Central - 1.0 - by jdsmith2816 Files to download : MAIN FILES - OPTIONAL PACK -> Frostfall - Hypothermia Camping Survival Patches." Can't find the mentioned pack inside the packs.
  14. @jdsmith2816 I forgive any underlying dickiness in thanks for the answers :P See, the problem is, I DID read the entire guide. Or so I thought. Maybe I found the wrong thing? I've like four parts of it tabbed, I thought I was on the main one .-. I'll re-look around next time for the other ones. Would explain why I finished the thing and yet haven't a clue why you're mad at me about the WLS thingies since they were in the part I read, but without much explanation :p When it comes to the DSOPT guide though, I was talking about this: https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Neovalen/Skyrim_Revisited_-_Legendary_Edition/DDSOpt_Processing There is a chance I am blind, I was never good at those 'spot the difference puzzles' but the only difference I can find here is the second part lacks this: "In the center text box, type "*.dds" and then click [Apply].Click the green checkmark to select all filtered files."But then it's all the same. Same paths, same files, same extensions, same buttons to press. I'm confused. Speaking of blind I really didn't find the Rustic Potions thing on the list. The hell, I need bigger glasses or what <checking with ctrl-f cheats>. Hm, they don't seem to be there. Should I just add them? Or are they included in some other mod and I missed it? :< Although I still like these more: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18799/? Reqtificator should suffice to port their looks over, right? It used to. So sorry if I missed something here again ._. ** My computer isn't the worst, but it's also not super powerful. For instance I had issues running Real Vision with Depth of Field last time. So I'm trying to be conservative with the big visual thingies. If I were to add some performance-heavy things I'd go for ETAC over SFO for sure, it's just more interactive. I know that everything can possibly conflict, but there are some conflicts that really don't matter so much. Like, I don't know, if a prisoner has wrong perks and would die from a fart, or some fire is misplaced, or a random sign doesn't blow in the wind like it should doesn't matter much to me (though I understand it would have no place in a clean guide like this). Things out to be stable, some occassional anomalies or a dumb irrelevant NPC I can live with :p My last Requiem installation actually went pretty well, IIRC. A year ago or so without such a lovely guide with patches, just common sense. Had some 280 plugins or so, remember merging a bunch. I recall getting somewhere where I got involved with vampires and invisible entities and then I started to experiment with a bunch of more unstable and experimental mods out of curiosity and it all went to **** :p But I enjoyed the journey thoroughly. Good night and thanks for all the assistance :)
  15. @D1z4str About BYOD, from their page: "Expanded Towns and Cities has been confirmed to be 100% compatible as of version 2.0." Nothing about JK's mods, but using both that and ETAC sounds more like an install for a wondrous screenshot adventure than anything else unless someone has a monster PC :p As for Immersive Citizens, I found this topic: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/46qc8f/fyi_immersive_citizens_compatibility_patches_have/ Strange to say the least. And sad, too, that he would react this way. It appears that she never got to post the patches and they're not present in the Immersive Citizens package either. ...reading stuff further on the reddit I'm baffled. Why is there so much drama in the modding community? We should all love each other and enjoy mods :( Didn't know SkyUI has Categorized Favorites included. I was always using them together. Hmm. EDIT: Found this digging deeper into the Immersive Citizens: "Expanded Towns and Cities (ETaC) - Modular (Inn & no Inn version): Riverwood, Rorikstead, Dark Water Crossing and Falkreath" "Dawn of Skyrim (Director's Cut version incompatible ; the original version is fully compatible)" Source: https://nextgen-ai.com/immersive-citizens-compatibility-list/ (https://nextgen-ai.com/immersive-citizens-ai-overhaul/#introduction)
  16. No rush on my account :9, I'll sit on what I have for a little bit in case the guide gets some more updates :) It's still fresh like a hot muffin. I'll likely return to modding this next week or so once the dust settles :) Anyhow, I composed that list of questions and stuff, maybe aside of my whining there will be something useful for you guys there too, dunno. Anyway, here goes. ######## 1. Just to make sure that I didn't miss it somewhere - this guide does not utilize the basic STEP patches? The ones that include some visual-enhancements and have a bunch of requirements? STEP Core/Extended. 2. The mod "Bring out your dead" seems to be endorsed by STEP and given a lot of props for being immersive. Is there a reason it is not in the pack? 3. What is the reason behind cutting all generic population mods (non-fighting NPCs)? I mean things like "Immersive Wenches", "Populated Prisons", and the widely-used "Inconsequential NPCs" 4. I've chosen to add just two of the quest mods I've mentioned before and I researched them a little. In case someone was curious: "Helgen Reborn" works mostly fine with Requiem, as most of its enemies are Vanilla entities - they actually make the quest challenging given that a vampire makes an appearance. On the other hand some arena sequence is too easy, but it's nothing *too* bad. "Wheels of Lull" is not so much about fighting as puzzles/Zelda style jumping/trap dodging etc. dungeon. Many of the fights require custom items and wits moreso than perks and stats, so it's probably worth a try. Once I get there, I will let you know how much of that is true. I've seen some reports of it not starting with Requiem, but also some ways to fix it (not to mention it could be a conflict from any other mods those people had). 5. "Flora Overhaul" is quite an FPS-eater from what I remember, no? Even on low settings the author says that it will eat away some FPS, the only difference is whether it will be a lot or little. Perhaps it should get a warning like the city-expanding mods? 6. "Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul" could be a good candidate for an optional mod :) I've heard it's pretty damn awesome. 7. What should I do with "ECTV Patches Merged" for Legacy if I only got the modular file for that? Should I skip all of it, ignore the patch, install it anyway? 8. Is it okay to install/uninstall "Dawn of Skyrim" and "Expanded Towns and Cities" at will if they prove to be too hard? Is it okay to only have the modular part of ETAC but none of the other listed files? 9. FNIC Player only animations - I do not truly understand the purpose of this mod. And then I also don't understand the way it's supposed to be installed by this guide's directions. Why is everything deleted? What if there are some other animations used aside/instead of Immersive Animations? (the files seem to point to that mod alone?). I'm confused here. 10. I've noticed there's no mod to allow the player to see their body in first person. Is there some reason? Incompatibility, glitches, whatever else? I can do without, but I'm a bit curious. 11. Speaking of curious - is there a reason all the readmes and .bsl files ought to be removed? If so I'll have to check if I didn't let some live. 12. No SMIM patch for Wearable Lanterns? Any reason? 13. I tried to run the DDsopt on the Immersive Weapons according to the guide, but both sections (textures and normals) seem to be doing the exact same thing to the exact same files :o I did it once, but then I got confused. Could someone tell me what's up, please? :p 14. I want to install two bigger item visual mods that I find are hugely important visuals wise - "Books Covers of Skyrim" and "Radiant Potions and Booze Bottles". It's okay, right? Or will "Requiem" overwrite their looks? There used to be a patch for the latter, but many other texture mods exist. I don't know. Makes me wonder. 15. "Skyrim Unlocked" sounds like a fun little immersion change that could work pretty well with Requiem, but I don't know if it would behave 100% well. Just throwing it out there. 16. "Smart Souls" and "Fuz Ro D'oh" put their inis in MO's overwrite folder. MO then complains. Maybe add a note to move them to their respective mod folders to avoid some overwrite-mod mess later if someone gets mods that add stuff there? 17. "Audio Overhaul for Skyrim" has various weather patches. Are they necessary for weather mods? If so, perhaps let people know to install the one they will be using since the pack doesn't have a must-install one? 18. "Unique Town & Locations Music" says in the description in will conflict with weather mods. If the pack's patch doesn't fix it, perhaps it would be better to make it optional to be safe or something? Or is that irrelevant? 19. How's "Requiem Realistic Darkness" gonna do with "Climates of Tamriel" darker nights? All okay? 20. Can't find the listed "Frostfall" patch in the guide's patch pack :< 21. "Dual Wield Parrying" is marked as the author as experimental. Is it risky to use it? 22. Should I merge HDT-Enabled KS Hairdos the same way the guide says to merge the regular kind? 23. Should I be adding my additional mods to the merge packs if they fit the category or is it okay to leave them be/I should make them separate packs? 24. Is the "Categorized Favorites" mod out of favor for some reason? I recall it being a more vital UI addition that many. 25. "WLSO - Weather Lighting and Sound Overhaul - Patches" archive is empty :o Should something be there? It's listed in the guide as a step in installation, I just installed an empty dummy folder, but MO isn't happy about it. 26. What is the Beautification project here? I thought it would be a list of more visual mods, but it's something entirely different. A software to connect the mods already present? Is it necessary? Does it mean to beautify the MO folders not Skyrim? 27. If the installation is finished and new versions of mods appear, is it viable to replace them with new ones or will it require a complete 'raze to the ground and rebuild' as far as all the merges and whatnot are concerned? ###### I have installed the quests and followers and even the notice board (and a bunch of other mods I didn't quite care for) for the sake of simplicity. It left me with a shorter list of unused ones. Green is all the nature stuff. Will the absence of any of these mods cause problems? And could I get a hint or two about how to remove others as dependencies from the patch? https://i.imgur.com/zv4VenU.png After further limiting the mods I want to install on top of the install I've arrived at this list and will likely report how it goes later. There are also some visual enhancements and a few patches/updates for the listed mods but I hid them away for the sake of clarity here. Maybe something will look interesting for an optional mod/look idiotic to install. (Population mod remnants might go, depending on the answer to some above question, idk if previous 'no' applied only to fighterly NPCs or all of them). https://i.imgur.com/VURcFTj.jpg Speaking of, there is a mod in the guide that improves Thieves guild requirements and one for Companions, but I think Immersive College doesn't do that - is there a reason "College Days" and "Entry Requirements" are not listed? Some incompatibility/instability found?
  17. Okay, thanks. I categorized them too, should be okay. Just wanted to know if I need to re-rename them :) I have gone over the entire guide (up to the part where it's about merging and stuff, want to confirm some stuff before I get to that), I've got a bunch of questions/few confusions. I'll post them in a little bit, maybe something will be useable for some n00b-friendly added notes to the guide for I am a n00b and I could spot things n00bs could benefit from :P I don't know how to thank you for your work on this btw, so here's a buttfighting dog of gratitude: https://gfycat.com/ImpoliteOnlyKronosaurus
  18. Wonderful job! Congratulations, it's a glorious guide, really :) I believe I downloaded and installed all the mods (phew), gotta take stock of what I have and what I must break now :p Could you meanwhile answer my tiny question from last page? "Can I name the MO Mods folders as I please or do I need them named the way the guide has them?"
  19. Quick driveby question - can I name the MO Mods folders as I please or do I need them named the way the guide has them?
  20. I don't trust myself not to use some cheese if I find it, that's why I'm looking for light mid-end-game difficulty backup :P I have a power gamer sitting somewhere in depths of my soul and she may rear her head when she smells blood. What's RotE though? @JDSmith2816 Aw script latency D: I'm afraid of script latencies. Guess I'll skip Holidays then, it's probably cooler for some pure-immersion playthrough. I think (not 100% sure) those other quest mods aren't leveled, but I'll keep that in mind since that doesn't help with perks and stats. I'll go over the lists again and see how to find a compromise that's the closest to your guide. My biggest concern here (building a basic guide-guided install before installing anything on top of it) would be patches from the mods I install from the guide - sometimes I installed a patch with my planned mods in mind/or skipped something like a patch for Falskaar and Heavy Armory. I think there was only 1 light patch (College of Winterhold) I gotta reinstall that for sure if I'm not to use ELaFX. Should've been noting those down dammit :p I guess I should reinstall some of the FOMODs. Using the "Replace" option will be fine, right? Should remove/add necessary stuff? Man I remember the NMM days. This install would be already likely donezo if I was using NMM... :D
  21. Better Vampires: according to this https://sites.google.com/site/bettervampires/compatibility it's fully compatible and has a patch. https://sites.google.com/site/bettervampires/faq/i-m-using-requiem---the-roleplaying-overhaul Well if Undeath and Konahrik won't make the game overloaded or something then okay, I don't mind them staying in. I'll get them and will just look into how to remove Falskaar if it's not difficult. I might let go of Real Shelter, but I'll let you know how HF Extended does, as that mod is one of the cooler ones on my list. Unsure about Holidays, if it was by any other modder I'd be highly skeptical, but Isoku generally knows what he's doing and that could do wonders to immersion. I chose Deadly Dragons because I heard that Requiem actually gets easier on higher levels. Wanted to know there's still something difficult awaiting and I heard they're fully compatible with the patch. And since I might have an unbalanced mod or two, I should have something to, well, balance it out, no? :p What kind of issues can happen if I install a mod like Helgen Reborn? I mean, in the case of that difficult fights are the least important thing. It's about the whole rebuilding quest. But if you mean consequences like CTDs and broken people then it doesn't make sense to use it :< When it comes to other quests - do you mean that level 5 two-shotting boss would happen because the boss would be unleveled? I think those mods have already leveled enemies. Or do you mean their perks would be incompatible and hence severely underpowered even if a boss was higher level/with good gear? Ningheim Race I recall required some stats changing, but that wasn't very difficult. I think Reqtificator told me last time that I gotta edit it or it won't be accepted. It's compatible, just didn't know if compatible with this pack. All in all I realize that I want to slap a bunch of stuff on top of a solid pack, but those things are just too fun to miss out on for me. I guess it's always gonna be like that with packs - different strokes for different folks, I like my Skyrim to be half The Sims, half Packrat Simulator (hence them Bandolier pouches... I know balance and all, but BUT but...), and only part a game about dragon hunting with big weapons :p So I guess I should get the pack and CR installed first and then slap any additional mods on top of it? Thank you kindly for your response and input.
  22. All right, replaced Alternate Start with SU. When it comes to modding, I really know very little of it. This pack is an awesome guide, I love it, but reading what you write I don't know if I'll be able to apply those final patches at all D: Ever since I started modding Oblivion I've heard everywhere to limit the amount of big content added to the install and things like Falskaar that are really just not appealing to me at all just scream "IM A BIG CONTENT THAT WILL WEIGH ON YOUR INSTALL!!". Unless you mean I can install those mods and turn them off? Though I doubt it. I'm halway through the installation only I think and I've already skipped over a lot more than that for various reasons, which is why I'm wondering if I can even utilize this guide properly :( - Skyrim Skill Interface Re-Texture (should be no problem, right?) - Blocksteal Redux (all their items are belong to me, I needn't such mods!) - iWASM - Immersive Wait and Sleep Menu (wouldn't it conflict with something like Go to Bed? Or is it better to not get GtB?) - Main Menu (seems unnecessary to me, and wouldn't it conflict with Jaxonz named save? Idk where the name would go) - No Menu and Loading Smoke (should be no problem, right?) - Smaller Cursor (I like my big cursor :< ) - Face to Face Conversation (bleh) - Falskaar (don't want new lands) - Undeath (unncessary) - Undeath Invisible Scrye Fix - Undeath Immersive Lichdom - Konahrik's Accoutrements - Dragon Priest Armory (is it really that cool? I'm not sure I need more items and even more powers cluttering the menus, but if you say it's awesome I'll bite) - Konahrik's Accoutrements - WAFR CCOR Patch - The Notice Board (like I need more stuff to, c'mon! Radiant quests are a completionist's hell as is... D:) - The Notice Board by MannyGT UPDATED - The Notice Board Falskaar - Subliminal Traps (I'm too easily spooked, give me a fighting chance! This mod looks too evil, especially with my harsher lighting overhauls :p) - The Notice Board Redefined - BadGremlin's Trophy Heads (gruesome D:) - HD-LOD Buildings (says the mod is outdated plus I'm not sure if I don't want those Sexy replacers yet) - High Quality 3D Map (I chose the paper version earlier, this doesn't apply, right?) - Skyrim Flora Overhaul (I can't afford to lose FPS for pretty shrubs) - TAFM - Unique Flowers and Plants (as above, I don't really need it) - Unique Grasses and Groundcovers (pretty, but I'm afraid of performance hit, Verdant grass seems enough) - Trees HD - Skyrim Variation (enhanced vanilla trees will suffice) - Trees HD - Skyrim Variation - Upgrade and Fix I honestly thought I could make my own kind of mod compilation, pay attention to what Requiem really doesn't fancy, then fix most issues with Reqtificator :< I also thought I could turn on/off any texture and mesh replacers as I go in case it turned out some of them are too performance heavy or just unnecessary. I'd much prefer to have a mod like Holidays active over a redone plantlife if I had to pick (and I may have to, I guess). I've looked at my gathered mods, aside of a whole bunch of graphical enhancements (without which I can live, I'm sure :p), I've a fair bunch of mods that looked like fun gameplay enhancements. Some of them do have Requiem patches, like Animallica or Skytest, some of them also appear in the guide later on, but many do not and idk if that means they won't work together with this setup :< Such sadpanda... But some seem rather harmless nonetheless. I don't know, I'm honestly quite lost at this point. I'll list them in case someone would know what to say, but I haven't a clue. In-the-Guide-I-thinks: - Apocalypse - Complete Fast Travel Overhaul - HDT Physics extension - Immersive Horses - Frostfall - Inigo (I don't want any of the other followers, won't use them anyway, Sofia, Hoth and whoever else is listed) - Trade and Barter - Campfire - 3DNPCs + all those city/village expansions, I've no preference so I'd go with whatever is in guide Overhauleys & Co: - Better Vampires - iNeed - Hearthfire Extended - Wet and Cold - Real Shelter - Holidays - Hunterborn Weather: - CoT & Related - ELaFX - Real Thundertorms for CoT + Lightning During Creature Related: - Animallica - SkyTest Realistic Animals and Predators - Skyrim Immersive Creatures (I was surprised it wasn't in this guide actually, I'm not sure I want to use it, but it seems like an immersive mod and has Requiem/Legacy patches) - SkyBirds - Deadly Dragons - World Eater Beater (plan was to install it on top and not turn on before Alduin battle to check it out but not have the scripts/anything on the savegame all the way :p) NPC-related & Faction-related: - Improved Adoptions, Multiple Adoptions - Adopt Aventus Arentino - College Days Winterhold - College of Winterhold Entry Requirements - Non-Essential Children (installed some patch for those on the way) - People are Strangers - RS Children Overhaul (was installing patches for this on the way, it looks so much better than other child overhaul mods, Rustic Children still leaves them looking too similar to vanilla clones) - Relationship Dialogue Overhaul New Items & Horse & Dog: - Bandolier Bags and Pouches - Animated Dragon Wings - Immersive Weapons - Immersive Armors - Lilith's Scythe (I don't really use/need more weapon/armor mods, IW/IA give SO many, but so pretty... :p) - Blaze of Eventide - Meeko Reborn - Wearable Lanterns - Tentapalooza for Campfire (with some fancy tent-related spell/s) Quests: - Apotheosis - Helgen Reborn - Molag Bal's Inferno - The Wheels of Lull Character Creation (plus chosen skin textures/brows/freckles stuff): - CBBE body + some armor conversions including immersive armors/SoS body for males - Apachi Hairstyles - KS Hairdos HDT Physics - Bodyslide utility - HDT hairstyles, some armor conversions, Cloaks, wearable lanterns - Ningheim Race UI-Adjacent: - Customizable Camera - Categorized Favorites Menu - Quest Eraser - Jaxonz Utilities - Jaxonz Real Names - Joy of Perspective - Player Headtracking - Viewable Faction Ranks Collectables & Hunts: - LC Immersive Looting - Seashells - Skyrim Unique Treasures - Treasure Hunt - ESO Shards - Skull Hunt - Stackable Stones of Barenziah with Optional Quest Markers Miscellaneous: - Castle Volhikar Rebuilt - Height Adjusted Races with True Giants - Lanterns of Skyrim - Left Hand Rings Modified - Predator Vision - Unlimited Bookshelves - Unread Books Glow - Ore Veins Glow - Skyrim Unlocked (seems very immersive, could go well with Requiem and seems compatible) - Sleep Tight (undecided) Animations: - Pretty Sit Idles - two casting animation mods - some jump/run mod Population Mods (not sure if I'll use them yet, some might be an overkill): - Immersive Wenches - Inconsequential NPCs - Populated Cities Towns Villages Reborn - Populated Dungeons Caves Ruins Reborn - Populated Forts Towers Places Reborn - Populated Lands Roads Paths Reborn - Populated Skyrim Civil War Reborn - Populated Skyrim Prisons Cells Reborn Sad parts are a) this is without Requiem and its patches listed b) there are some packages without names so there may be a few more ;p Additionally I have a bunch of visual enhancements I found but they're mostly just some textures or whatnot I hoped to just overwrite stuff with. The only awesome problematic one seems to be the Radiant Potion Bottles and Booze. It's SO pretty, but I know it used to have a Requiem patch. I *think* Reqtificator can handle it nowadays since it's just visuals? Le meh. I don't know what to do :(
  23. Thanks for the response. When it comes to Alternate Start I was under the impression that it makes so that Dragons simply will not spawn until I touch the main quest. And SU says that the quest will kick off on first dragon kill - does that mean they're around from the beginning? I haven't played that storyline in ages, I'm not too familiar with the quest names it mentions. Seeing how I want to have Deadly Dragons installed I really will be in no rush to fight any. If I misunderstood it I'll just go with SU, I'm not looking for bonus conflict solving endeavors... I am okay with those four quests not being really balanced for Requiem. I just want them for fun, if they give me some op stuff I'll smelt it into bunny figurines, couldn't care less. As long as they won't make the game unstable. I really don't want to waste valuable space for the huge things I don't want like Falskaar, so I'll return to this post once I get to the patching part, I guess, and try to understand what things mean :P Not there yet.
  24. [continuing the install battles] I hope it's not too stupid a thing to do, but I'm modifying some mods from the list. For instance prefer "Alternate Start" to "Skyrim Unbound" (it just seems simpler, I don't need those SU options) or don't want Face to Face talk (just subjective bleh :p), picked "Climates of Tamriel" and different lighting overhaul, a different assortment of visual/character creation mods, stuff like that. Can changes like that fly? Two other questions: 1. Is it possible to post a finalized mod list somewhere around for smart Req-Legacy people to tell me if something there strikes them as a must-delete? 2. I've arrived at the Quest part of the guide. I don't want to install Undeath, not planning to play a lich and that's a waste of that mod and script-load AFAIR, also skipping Falskaar, not a fan of new-lands mods and there's already Moonpath included in Legacy. But I've picked several other quest mods that have been rather recently updated. Could you tell me if they're for some reason discouraged? - Apotheosis Lifeless Vaults - Molag Bal's Inferno - Helgen Reborn - The Wheels of Lull [i actually thought there are more, damn I really AM learning to limit my load order... Two games and one decade of biting cables finally getting through I guess...] Also, why is "Requiem" patch option unchecked in "Legacy Patch Central" fomod guide? :o Also, no "Audio Overhaul" patch? That mod I think is required for the STEP patches, no?
  25. Okay, nevermind my post (can't seem to edit/delete it). I made some manual mix of enblocal ini from the preset and the other two, put the program somewhere else for future use (unlikely, I really like this ENB look! Probably will stick with it anyway, or I can just manually replace it for something else in the future with another hybrid ini since I apparently cannot use the global enblocal.ini anyway) and it works. Nice parenthesis. Almost forgot I started a sentence. Thanks guys, big e-hugs to all of ya. Onwards to glory.
