SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified
Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Merging - there's two ways to do it as far as I know. 1. you merge only the .esp files, meaning the merged plugin will draw all resources from the respective mod folders. In that case you leave everything active on the left pane and only hide the .esps: Either leave them unticked in load order if you don't mind the mess, or you can open them in MO and go to the tab 'optional plugins' and move the merged .esp plugins to the top box, they will disappear but remain there if you ever need to remerge stuff or just want them back, they're one click away. You can also just cut/paste them to some other folder, but I find the hiding a much better and cleaner alternative. 2. you merge entire mods and the merge plugins will copy all the files from the merged mods into the merge folder. In that case you simply deactivate the merged mods on the left pane. Personally I prefer option 1, but I think both are valid and fine. As for where stuff goes, I'd advice you watch a video about how to configure Merge Plugins well. There's a very good one YouTube, I can't look for it atm but it's very informational and it has Star Wars characters in it so you can recognize it. Should be first result anyway. Enable both Falskaar and Falskaar Optimized but make sure FO goes after and overwrites Falskaar files on the left pane. -

To bash a lock simply hit the chest with a weapon. Try a few times if it doesn't work to aim around the lock, but I think anywhere on the chest is okay. I played with a lock-opener character last time and yeah, my dungeoneer skill was high, but I wasn't swimming in gold tbh. Perhaps because of my little price tampering where I made houses really expensive. Also not using any followers and not utilizing Museum's free storage/utilities. Seemed to balance it out quite okay for my standards :) But I also wasn't selling much stuff though because I'm incapable of selling gems/jewelry, I just hoard it. Might be a factor why chests don't really influence my wallet state so much :P -
Error while trying to re-run DynDOLOD
Ellilea replied to Ellilea's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Would've if I could've :( I didn't copy the part of the log at the start, just glanced at it, then retried and then decided to copy since the error returned. Only seen that the first time it was not about Legacy, but a Dragonborn area. Dragonborn02? Something. I'm not sure. Definitely Dragonborn though, because I was turning off a Dawnguard-area mod and paid special attention to see if it's not somehow related. By deleted earlier output I mean I deleted the entire two folders sitting in Mod Organizer/mods path. Then it worked. ESP was included in one of the folders. I thought it wouldn't make a difference since DynDOLOD outputs to Skyrim/DynDOLOD (I had no remaining output folders there) not Mod Organizer folders, but clearly I was wrong. I had a backup of my working DD folders, yes, but my extra fresh install was successful so I removed them. I'm sorry I can't be of more help, I made a stupid and didn't keep the logs from other tries :( For now no more obscure problems. Well, I had a funny occurrence, I loaded a save that was made with the old setup and there was an airship above Whiterun but it disappeared when I stepped closer and never returned :D The save is trashed now anyway since I was removing mods, but it was intriguing. Sadly, just a ghost LOD I guess (wasn't there before either, mysterious thing) and I'll never find out what was inside it :( -
Error while trying to re-run DynDOLOD
Ellilea replied to Ellilea's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
I've noticed that in three attempts it crashed on different points. I don't use Bashed Patch or any such thing (just Reqtificator that is allowed to run independent of DynDOLOD, before, after, whenever AFAIK), and it seemed a bit random. I deleted everything from MO's folder related to DynDOLOD (well, not resources, just the outputs) and it went okay. I don't know what happened since these folders I removed were not in the folder where DynDOLOD creates its output files, but I guess that's okay? Not a symptom of some bigger issue? I have been very careful with my load order. While I'm at it, thank you for making this utility and supporting it around here :) Mucho appreciacio. -
I have tried to re-run DynDOLOD after all since I had a mod that I chose to remove after further inspection. But I'm sadly getting some errors now. The log is quite long (pastebin says too long to upload it), so I've copied the last section for now. Should I upload the full log somewhere? It mentions Legacy of the Dragonborn, but I haven't touched it since last running the program successfully. Could you clue me in in what could be wrong? I'm using MO and after last running DD I moved its TexGen and World outputs into the MO mods file, not leaving any left over files in DD folder in Skyrim's root one. SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified
Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Once you go Requiem it's really hard to go back to anything vanilla. I'm watching a very nice and pleasant Oblivion LP for the sake of good memories and it's just painful to see the fella wailing at a bandit 30 times and looking at the hp bar twitching down surely, but slowly :D Ever since I first modded Skyrim and included Requiem I bend over backwards each install to make mods I like work with it, cause without it there is no game for me. This guide sure makes life a lot easier, especially since I wouldn't be able to skip over Legacy now that it's here ;) What I worry about the most is what will happen with TES 6 comes out and it's a leveling world with sponge enemies again. What do, men? What do? -
SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified
Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Here's mine. They gave me a stable game, I crashed once every few hours (usually just didn't crash unless I reloaded the game like 20 times in a row) and my load order was much bigger than this guide alone. Anyhow, keep in mind some settings might be different due to my PC specifications. The enb inis are configured for my Organic ENB (light version) and might be a little different from the STEP recommendation, but it might help you to test stuff I guess? The crash fixes/skyrim/skyrimprefs inis are configured in accordance to this guide entirely. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5ERts6771l1SzVXSld6WkxlcDg -
Adding a mod and not re-running DynDOLOD?
Ellilea replied to Ellilea's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Thank you, there's so many things to read all around I missed this since I was following a step-by-step STEP guide while installing. Pardon and have a lovely day. -
I am very sorry if this question is stupid, I read the FAQ and failed to find this question there. It's a simple one. I've added a mod that adds a building. One mod, one building, I don't really want to rerun DynDOLOD and risk harming my savegame (I added the building before starting the game but forgot that DynDOLOD might want to tickle it too, just connected the dots now). Is it gonna be okay or will something explode?

Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Bah, it looks like I'd have to reinstall that then Dyndolod and all. Screw it, potted monsters it is. I'll just mark for delete them or resize with Jaxonz Positioner or something .-. I am so over installing mods lol. By the way, they say on the Legacy's page that their Unofficial Fix will require updating over upcoming months and some script cleaning and stuff. The guide recommends to merge it, but then perhaps it would be best left outside the patches merge? Idk, just a thought. -

While we're at it - is there a way to make Junipers small globally? Or is that a bad idea? Like, remove some file or another. After these battles if my install starts to work-work I'd rather not touch the working CR patch with a feather. Also, is there "Leveled Items" part of the CR patch crucial to a playthrough? How would you guys advise to handle this bamboozle? -
SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified
Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I have been doing a more precise elimination and I have indeed arrived at the "Leveled Items" as the odd man out now. I have divided the files into those Reqtificator won't touch (by design) and the others I checked category-by-category. Leaving it out also removes a different CTD I had when Requiem scripts were trying to run. The fact that it being Reqtified alone is okay would explain my earlier confusion at inconsistency. It's like there's some conflict inside the patch, I found it only once I singled out all the Reqtification candidates. -
SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified
Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
So I've had a shower thought if you were thinking about testing stuff - CR patch only goes naughty when it's Reqtified, so all the records from categories that are not touched by the Reqtificator should be safe. It seems to check out, indeed, and it leaves I don't know, 5-6 other suspect categories (Armors, Weapons, Leveled Item, NPC, Perk, Global (1 entry) and Leveled NPC or something like that, just some falmer shaman in there). I won't pinpoint any specific one at fault due to my issues with consistency and the game being just undecided, but I thought I'd mention it in case it didn't cross your mind. Though it might've, I just haven't been fiddling with these things long enough for it to come sooner ;p -
SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified
Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Aaand then I retry with just 2 files, it's okay, with 3 it crashes. Same steps, same procedure. I cannot find consistency in this so I cannot possibly find out what's wrong :( I will have to wait for someone else to crack this it seems :< -
SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified
Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
This is beyond weird. I thought it was some category but I can actually run the game, press new, save no problem with ALL of them. I guess that's why it broke for me again even without the "narrowed down" categories when I used one plugin, just without them. Like this: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5ERts6771l1N1JZMEJqTTlyU1E The moment it's normal it's a crash lol. I am beyond clueless. Weirder yet - I have replaced the full pack with one I tested earlier (just CR and 01) along with their Reqtificator output and it crashes on that once more. If I redo it from 0, it's fine. I just don't understand. It's like Reqtificator keeps some fishy files somewhere overwriting things weirdly and causing these anomalies. -
SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified
Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Ugh, no actually I've no idea how it works. It seems to work when it's in separate files, then it works up to a random point when it's all in the original CR patch file, but then it doesn't anymore. I'm confused and I give up. I started a new game, saved, no issues at all when I had stuff (aside of Impacts and Location) in two files, I replaced with original file and removed those 3, then even all 5 I mentioned here and it's broken again. It's officially beyond me. Here's the juniper tree so I'm at least of *some* use lol: https://i.imgur.com/TeOE4CL.jpg -
SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified
Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Pfrtl. Okay, so I narrowed it down to 5 categories left. I have to get to work so can't pluck out the culprit now, but according to my "research", the problem sits in one of: Impact Impact Data Set Location Magic Effect Perk For me deleting these categories from CR patch handles CTD on save and CTD on Requiem script launch (my personal bug, but looks like it might be related). Looking at those in xEdit my money would be on either "Magic Effect" or "Perk" categories, Location is tiny, Impact stuff looks rather innocuous. But right now I can only guess since I have to roll and work on IRL work :< EDIT: Too curious, wanted to check if I was right. I was wrong. It would appear that it IS either "Impact" or "Impact Data Set" that bugs my stuff out? I checked "Magic Effect" and "Perk" and they didn't crash it. Hmpf. -
SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified
Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Hm. This thing is just so puzzling. I moved two things around, Reqtified, it crashes again. Moving them back and re-reqtifying doesn't help. I have gone to xEdit and erased the entire content of CR patch and it stopped crashing (no-rereqtifying after that, just wanted to check what happens). I left >only< the "Ingestibles" part next time and it crashes. It's not any one entry in CR patch then, I don't think, it just really really doesn't like this plugin for some reason. Unless I'd have to re-reqtify it after checking each category or something. Hmpf. I'll try to re-parcel CR patch into a few separate plugins by category, Reqtify and see what happens. It just doesn't wanna let me be, I want to *know*. -

thenewkid, could you try using this CR patch file for me? It doesn't crash me on save on new character, no player.kill involved (I had this problem back in the new install). I don't know if it's just me or if I accidentally found the problem while being stupid and stubborn and trying to modify it. Turn off Skyrim Unbound (turn on LAL if you have). https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5ERts6771l1dlAySVVReEg5eFU -

I have found a weird if funny bug, I wonder if you guys have it too. In Proudspire Manor on 1st floor there's a tree in the planter. It says "Juniper" and I can harvest berries from it, but it's not a bush but a huge ass tree. According to console the last mod to modify it is Requiem - WM Flora Fixes. I ran the game with 0 Requiem content and it was there pointing to just regular WM Flora Fixes mod which is at the very top of the load order among the .esm files. Is it just me or is the Juniper confused for someone else too? :D According to the wiki: "A large vase containing a juniper tree has been added." In vanilla game. So the issue would be that the tree is humonguous more so than that it's there? Idk :D -

JD, could you kindly perhaps upload somewhere your current version of the CR patch that has your additional fixes? Or is it unsafe for public yet? -
SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified
Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
ENB doesn't have a plugin (at least not those I knew) so no need for load order. There is a utility mentioned here: https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Paul666root/SRLE_LOTD_Reqtified/Prerequisites called "ENB Organizer". It never worked for me, but perhaps you will find it helpful. In general to install ENB it's probably best to go to a page of one of the popular ones and read the description. They always give very specific instructions guiding you step by step. You can also read into this utility and do as its documentation advises. ENB stuff isn't installed through Mod Organizer and it sits not in the Data folder but in the root folder of Skyrim so it's independent of the finish line installation I believe. I installed and configured my ENB before getting to this guide (after configuring the INIs and going over "prerequisites" page though) and forgot about it ever since even when I change MO folders and explode my installations for science ;) Some ENBs are very light on the system and also there are some ways to configure them (including brightness etc). But can you turn it off entirely and have it count as active? I don't know. Maybe someone else will shed some light on this for you. -
SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified
Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Do you know when you could upload it somewhere? I'm preparing my second install and would love to include any possible fixes. Also, a small thing I checked while watching Belmont Boy's videos - one of the Requiem mods seems to remove description of some items/magic effects. Perhaps you would know which one causes it (Kryptopyr's fixes I believe?). I know you can check it by "Tyranus' Greatsword", it should say that it banishes Daedra and stuff, but in my install it only said it's more efficient against undead. Perhaps there's some simple fix for it, but I tried to look and failed to find it in xEdit. It's either some magic effect description or weapon description, as he said, but I don't really know which or how to change it or how to find if others are overwritten too. I might well be just blind, but thought I'd mention it :P -
