SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified
Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Oh also, I don't know if you guys care, but one nice fellow on Requiem reddit released Requiem patches for a few mods :) Vigilant, Spectraverse, Wheels of Lull, Brigandage and Darkend. Darkend seems very Dark-Souls oriented with some very unimmersive HUD plugins recommended, so that's not my thing. Spectraverse and Wheels of Lull look real fun and I suppose Vigilant too, if someone's into divine play :) Brigandage is more of a flavor mod from what I see, but I thought I'd share with you if some of those sounded appealing to you and you wanted to have Requiem fun with them. -

I can recognize now what the records do, been fiddling around xEdit for a little bit and created my own patch too changing some simple things. My question here is oriented more towards those stranger issues like some tags or keywords. I don't fully understand why some things cannot be transferred like this because of Reqtificator (seen it mentioned by the Requiem patches). This part in particular: "Merge Plugins: You can merge my patches but I don't recommend it. You must add <<REQ:"TT"; REQ:Temper; REQ:Unroll>> to the description of your merged plugin or you will destroy meta data for the Reqtificator. You might mess up the content of a few leveled lists because the Reqtificator can no longer merge them." Does it apply to mods other than those specific Requiem-oriented patches? Or is there something similar around? -

It's such a weird issue this CTD on save. I had it yesterday again after some fiddling and then it went away again after re-reqtifying. It seems to ebb and flow for me entirely, without rhyme or reason, it's like no single file could cause it if it goes away like this. Btw, would you be so kind as to tell me if I'm correct thinking that if I have a patch that requires say 4 mods and I only want to use 2 of them I could: - copy sth as overwrite into new plugin - copy all entries to that plugin aside of those that make it require the 2 mods I don't want as masters (hence pointing to entries that come directly from those mods)? Would it then patch my 2 mods without simply introducing fixes required for the 2 unwanted or would it explode? I was thinking about plucking some fixes from the Ultimate Skyrim for one or two mods I added to my install and I wonder if I'm making any sense or if it's an exercise in futility. I could then place it before CR patch and just manually evaluate if there are any problematic overwrites (if even) since a bunch of mods are in common anyway and I'd simply let CR go after it since I know it now and it was working fine for me. But that's just in theory right now :p -

I know, I've read up on it, but I only want a few hand-picked texture mods, some different than in your pack here. My game looked absolutely satisfying with what I had setup, so no problem :) I'm only hovering around here to wait for Claralux axing and perhaps share experiences with the basic guide version if need be. -

Did you try removing the "Requiem Output" folder, re-running the Reqtificator on top of it all, 3 options checked, and leave it in the override folder as it makes it? My issue before it got fixed somehow was the same. I had to player.kill a character from a different save. But I didn't use SMC. I just picked the additional texture replacers myself and have them in MO only. -

It's okay, we're rallying around here and doing our best to share what we know with others for the time being :) Glad to hear about Claralux, I'll probably hold off on playing for a little while then and redo the visual setup without it as that's literally the only thing I dislike about it :) By the way, this guide's things look real beautiful with Organic ENB. I used their recommended settings for everything and the lightest version and I've encountered no framerate loss whatsoever. All the default WLSO settings seem to work really nice with it, too. I didn't have CoT installed, want to try it now, but here's some screenshots of just dry WLSO/TAFM/ECTV install without any tinkering with settings or patching anything: https://imgur.com/a/P3k1p -

You could possibly try to set the lights to be on always by manipulating the hours of them going up and down, but I don't know if it will actually limit the script load. Maybe? -

I have partially remade this guide's setup to get rid of some mods I didn't need and include ASLAL (I was just *too* bothered by the cut quests, it ruined my immersion entirely... I know, stupid, but what can I do, half this playthrough is immersion focused and it didn't make sense to me on emotional level... I'd rather run into some bugged warlock or invisible bench or whatever at some point :p), I've transferred the parts of CR patch that didn't touch the mods I disliked into a customized copy of it and shall proceed to pray what I did is actually a viable way of doing things :D But Claralux (and the entire visual setup) is too complicated for me I fear, I'd have to build one from the ground up and the lights are the only thing I dislike here. I honestly don't care if it's a bit too dark or a bit too bright in my game, I mean it worked for me on level 2 and level 7, all the same, so a static, script-free lightning mod would be a much better thing for me, but JD said including something like ELFX in this setup would be a great headache so I'm kinda fearful to tinker with it since the entire atmosphere/towns/visuals part of the guide I didn't poke at. What I can advise you from my own experience (and Googling... lots of Googling) is yes, a) set glow to 0, and b) set update interval to 120 (max). The latter seemed to help my game a whole lot. And if you like me don't really give too many ****s whether the lights are on/off at the right time of day but are bothered by the bugs this could help you too. As for the double lanterns - there's some Claralux blowing in the wind patch in the guide, check if you did that step right. I noticed one more thing when it comes to this CTD-on-save thing - I got lazy and I've left Requiem for the Indifferent and its Skyproc folder in "overwrite" folder and haven't had any issues with Reqtification since. Maybe that's it? Makes no sense, but who knows. It's Skyrim :p -

For me the player.kill was a very temporary solution, as in I had to redo it every time Skyrim was relaunched. I was battling it and got rid of it fully in the end. It was hasslesome and required some mod turn-on/turn-offing and running Reqtificator all the time. In the end it looked like it was some issue with CR patch and Reqtification. I've been writing about it few pages back, unsure what it was but if the issue persists for you I'd recommend re-running Reqtificator and ABSOLUTELY check all 3 options. Leaving "masters" option unchecked, though in theory innocuous, caused my game to be unplayable. Main menu wouldn't show. Did I do something else to fix it? I don't remember, honestly. I know I also had issues using the paper map. Go *very* carefully over the "finish line" part. I did *not* rerun "Restore NPC visuals" step when I got it to work. I don't know if it's actually done for my game or not, but I honestly didn't care enough to tinker with it so I am actually not certain if it didn't help? No idea. Either way I played a longish time never having to player.kill from the beginning to the end. With how long it takes for Skyrim to launch when it's modded like this accidentally forgetting to start each session with killing the character seemed very meh to me. Also I felt like it was a symptom of bigger problems so I wanted it gone entirely. -

I have small merge questions: is there a reason all the small settlement mod plugins cannot be merged? I mean Karthwasten, Ivarstead etc, that entire bundle from the guide. is there a reason most Requiem patches cannot be merged? -

Dammit, and I thought I got the inn name right :D Even gave it a second thought! Yes, I mean the one you said. Hm, will have to look into those weapon duplicates in xEdit. How would I handle this? Move/Remove/Overwrite stuff somehow? In the patch file or a new one? I've only learned to patch simple stuff for now, unsure if this would be the same case :D As for Umbra, I'm glad he wasn't at that camp cause the damn curator sent me to the crypt nearby as a part of preliminary quest ;D I'd be so dead. We managed to overcome Umbra as a team with the small town. RIP everyone but some badass lady guard. I'll look into the shield thing, thanks. And into the Hunterborn thing too, cause I am indeed using it :) -

Some reports after playing for a while: Small thing I noticed - the stamina regeneration from stews (the long one for 7200 seconds or so) seems to be overwritten by health in the later files. Don't know if intended, I reverted it in my own tiny patch file. It's a nice incentive to cook stuff IMO, especially early game. In my install, Claralux is not behaving nicely. I have to reset the lights occasionally and it caused me a random save bloat at the start. I have changed some settings and it has since calmed down a bit, but I'm not convinced. Still need to reset the glow bulbs in several locations and it takes a good while each time. The road torches also like to bundle up together and from Googling for quite a bit I know it just happens to some people. Sad me. There's that Deadman's Drink hostility, had to edit it to become public place. Someone mentioned it here before I think. There are two instances of some weapons - for example "Iron Katana" or "Steel Tanto". It causes a problem with Legacy of the Dragonborn which doesn't recognize one of them and trolls the player into gathering disappointing junk :P On the top of the Snowpoint Beacon there are flying barrels blocking the entrance to the roof where one of the Interesting NPCs sits. I failed to console disable the barrels, too, used the Ningheim Ethereal Shift to get through but if I didn't have featherfall I'd have to godmode my way down. Quite troublesome those. Either my steward or my servant is a ***** and reported me to the authorities for picking up stolen goodie IN MY OWN HOUSE! The audacity. Not the end of the world, for sure, but kinda silly. Umbra from Legacy of the Dragonborn sturmed the small mine town near Markarth. I read he was meant to be around the Lovers' Camp up north. Don't know if it's a conflict or not, but it's an oddity. I have ultimately decided that I do not like Skyrim Unbound very much and I'm sadpandaing every day that I didn't get to play through the first dragon fight quest and all that :< Oh well. I also encountered two strange bugs, one easy to fix, the other I'm clueless: Guards wouldn't apprehend me after recognizing my bounty. Read somewhere to pickpocket them and then they would - which they did. Going to jail for 75 days resulted in a massive save bloat though (no idea), so I had to fork out them golds. Some enemies seem to have problems unsheating their weapons. It's a cacophony of sound as they put it in and out rapidly, never getting to attack. Don't yet know if it's related to a specific weapon though, I've only began to encounter this bug, but I fear it might be getting more common. ### None of the bugs so far seem to be gamebreaking, the most serious thing is probably the Claralux issue. The game likes to crash every now and then (more in some locations than others), but it's definitely playable. Thought I'd leave those notes for anyone interested. There's a bunch of floating stuff here and there (some grasses in front of Lakeview Manor for instance), but it's whatever, I just mark them for delete and move on with my life. Some chicken nests seem to have really big "hitboxes" allowing me to airwalk over them but that's also quite irrelevant. Have a good day over there. -

@NordPride Had the same issue. I redirected that plugin with Wrye Bash to have the latter as a master and everything seems okay in my game. You can wait for someone to confirm if it's an okay thing to do though. -

Even though I've used Relinker, I don't seem to have the Jar and Fairy displays activated in the Dragonborn Museum. What did I do wrong/how could I fix it? The jars/fairies appear in the world normally. -

After I conquered all my crash issues it seems to work very well for me too. Yesterday I got some memory error and it still did not crash haha. Next level resilience. I closed the game to avoid issues. I'm level 9 and only crashed around Whiterun, randomly. Other than that I crashed 1 time. That's super stable in my book, especially with a bunch of loading and crossing areas and all (visited other palaces too, as well as the museum, some fort, built a house, got rekt my Spriggans 234567 times, no CtDs whatsoever). I've actually slapped a whole bunch of mods on top of this guide (guided by common sense , though a bit rebellious after JD said no population mods, pardon me, couldn't resist two :p) and they seem to all work very well. Notably "Hearthfire Extended", "Inconsequential NPCs", "Populated Towers, Forts, Places", "iNeed", " "RS Children Overhaul" and Jaxonz utility mods (people are strangers, real names, etc) that some people might consider adding to their installs. So far they are 100% functional and bug-free. The potion visual replacers work very well with my patches too, no problems whatsoever. Some are still left to test (like Better Vampires, not happening anytime soon knowing my sluggish playstyle I'll spend the next week decorating the manor), but having them active causes no problems. And so I would definitely recommend this guide even to people who want to introduce some changes as long as they don't step on the toes of mods already present here. It's much easier to deduce what can work here as an addition than in the huge all-around thing that Bellmont Boy has I'd say. As long as someone looks to add some tweaks, not change everything about the game :) -

From what I see Bellmont Boy's thing doesn't even include Legacy of the Dragonborn. And that's a biggie. For that reason alone I'd pick (and have picked) this thing over his and I think this guide has its place around. It's just a different thing. -

I hate this game lol. I changed nothing at all and suddenly it's bugged today. Won't load the main menu at all, just the emblem and nothing else. Didn't touch a single setting, add any mods, nothing. I downloaded the mfg console but didn't even activate it yet. .-. No words. Does anyone have a clue what could it be? Online they say it can happen after updating mods and whatnot. But I didn't :< -

You wanted visual oddities mentioned - in my game some boots don't have feet. For instance those Jarl of Solitude has on. Most are complete, it seems to be some of the clothing boots only (so far found 2). Some floating lanterns, but you mentioned you know of those. -

I see. Well I remove the gold weight first thing always :) So I guess my mini-mod rising prices makes up for that a wee little bit. I get your point, but if I guess I'd rather have that safe-chest somewhere and gather for the house than have the house be cheaper than a mercenary :D But it's obviously personal taste kind of thing. Strange thing with that CTD on save bug. Strange thing indeed. Come to think of it I also did a small change in the .ini before trying to Reqtify the new Dropbox files. This section: "[Papyrus] bEnableLogging=0 bEnableProfiling=0 bEnableTrace=0 bLoadDebugInformation=0 fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0 fUpdateBudgetMS=1.2000000477 fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=1.2000000477 iMinMemoryPageSize=128 iMaxMemoryPageSize=512 iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=76800" No idea if it means anything at all, but yeah. Just in case I'm gonna leave it here. -

I found a tiny thing that might be a an idea for the CR patch or something. I noticed that Requiem overwrites Skyrim Unbound's change to Breezehome price back to 3000. Not sure if you like it that way, but it feels cheatey to me, I'm gonna make an equally tiny plugin to revert that reversion I guess. It's actually a little strange how houses are made cheaper in Requiem whereas Horses and Mercenaries have skyrocketed. I get that horses were very valuable in those times, but I'd say a house is still something :p I thought Requiem made houses more expensive too. -

I hope it will solve the issue for sad_mad too, that could also verify that the other versions of patches have something vital that allows Reqtificator to work correctly for some people at least. I don't know, such mystery. -
SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified
Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
You know I think that actually worked? For sad_mad, if you come by and want to know what I did since we seem to have similar install issues: I downloaded the patch pack linked on the previous page here, replaced my CR Patch and CR_ectv patch with the new versions (the new ones are about 3kb bigger each or something as tiny), I removed the Requiem for the Indifferent and SkyProc folder from my overwrite (didn't create output from it anymore since I was repatching a bunch of times), I then ran the Reqtificator with the CR plugins turned on and it seems to not crash on save anymore. But I don't know if it's the patches or "Safety Load" - the guide doesn't mention it, but I got that mod and I also entered the Dragonsreach without any issue now. @Orham I don't use Radioactive, it was optional and I decided to skip it. It's pretty enough already, especially since I got those Palaces Enhanced and the ECTV additions for the other things :) -

Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I'm getting a persistent CTD when I try to enter Dragonsreach. I managed to enter it once, but upon re-entering it's always CTD. Loading a save from before going there the first time now also gives CTD and I CTD'd few minutes after leaving it that one time I managed to enter it. Would anyone have a clue what it could be? -
SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified
Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
That's a shame, but I have no way to make it work :( It just triggers those crashes the second those patches are reqtified. So far the game works beautifully otherwise though. I've played for 2-3 hours in a row, no crashes, even though I had to reload a bunch of times (being put in rags in Winterhold with Frostfall and all that is no joke lol, got two traveler notes to show for my survival incapability). I recall reloading a bunch usually likes to make unstable installs CTD. No such thing so far :) On a total side note, some of the out-of-combat music from those soundtrack packs is so beautiful. I never would've touched that mod if I didn't try to compromise with this guide as much as I possibly could, so that's an unexpected boon :P Thanks. -

Ellilea replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Ah, that was that. Yeah, remember now, I ignored it the first time but forgot about it by now. Too much stuff here to do and remember, sorry. But I've conquered the map bug I had, it was so bizarre, and the saving issue is gone (well, at least the immediate one), so maybe, just maybe, the game is playable now... could it be?! That is as long as the CR patches can be okay while being not Reqtified. If not then I'm done, I don't know what to do. I'm leaving them unReqtified for now and hoping for the best, because at least I cannot see any bugs smacking me in the face at the very start this way heh.
