ok thanks then it's the scripted mods. There currently 2 mods I am thinking dropping already LOOT and Degradation (do we really need this) and Ulitmate combat (not convinced i actually like it yet).

Ultimate Combat is surely the heavier mod from the big 3 combat mods in terms of scripts. I have tested it in the past (not extensively) and had some noticeable lag here and there.

Mind you, my mod list is quite heavy; so that might have played its role.

I do not know why but I keep on coming back to Duel as my primary Combat mod. It has always worked for me the way I want combat to be. I have combined it with ERSO Enemy AI Overhaul + Vigor Combat & Injuries and I really (I mean really) like what I am seeing.

Now, before jumping onto me for using Duel because it is part of  "Nazeen's Dangerous Mods List"; I can tell you that I have my doubts about being part of that list. A recent discussion between Nazeen and LongRaam (author of Duel) can be found at Duel's Nexus page. Everyone can read it and is entitled to his own conclusions.

I am using Duel for at least 3 different playthroughs...changed for a bit to Deadly Combat...then tried the most recent version of Ultimate Combat...back to Duel! No save bloat whatsoever in all of my playthroughs.

Duel has a minor bug that happens on specific occasions but it is easily rectified in-game and author will provide a fix soon enough.

Of course I have tested for quite sometime Battle Evolved and though I liked it I still found it to be a little "Overdone" for what this mod wanted to achieve...especially these mages!! God!!!

All these are just my personal taste after trying the majority of combat mod combinations out there. So far the lightest and most interesting combination for my liking and for my heavy mod list is the one i described above.

Hope that helps a bit!  :;):

Astakos I was using Deadly Combat for I to saw "Nazeen's Dangerous Mods List" and was persaded against including when I actually started to write the guide. I have never tried Duel though maybe i will.

I do like the sound of Duel + ERSO Enemy AI Overhaul + Vigor Combat & Injuries (maybe I'll try this combination out for a few hours) Considering I am using combination of deadly dragon, Enhanced mighty dragosn and dragon combat overhaul which makes dragon fights both interesting and scary.

I don't know how well ERSO Enemy AI Overhaul would work with revenge of the enemies though.

I'm also having these horrible slowdowns whenever I open the perk menu. Disabling DynDOLOD.esp fixes it for me. I'm not using a full SRLE or SRLE Extended profile, but I use most of the mods featured in these guides and a couple more. At the moment DynDOLOD is the only dynamic patch in my load order.

Of course a lot of people are using DynDOLOD without issues. So it seems to be some odd conflict or just a general overload?

Problem with DynDOLOD is, it takes almost an hour for me to recreate (I'm using the low preset). So narrowing it down to one mod could take a while.

I'm not using Ultimate Combat btw so I don't think that's the cause.

Interesting I have been trying to narrow down this issue for a liitle while now I honest don't know what is causing it. I am however convinced it a mod or combination of mods in SRLE Extended as i dont get this even with a fully loaded SRLE.

you could try deactiving Lock Overhaul and stopping npc loot bodies in the loot and degradation mcm menu and seeing if that helps

No that didn't help. However I added Dual Sheath Redux and now I'm getting the same slowdowns even with DynDOLOD deactivated. I hope this will ease up troubleshooting as running the DSR patcher is a lot faster.
