SRLE Extended

Recommended Posts

Hello Darth,

I was wondering why you have added the details concerning ASIS for Enhanced Dragons, since per your instructions you are referring to 'ASIS as per SR-LE' the perk and increased spawns options aren't selected anyway.

I added because another user suggested it. It's not really needed since we only use the enchanment fix from ASIS per SRLE Base.

i just finished the merging part of the guide .

two things though .

1 kinda stupid question perhaps  ,but when you have to set a priority value in loot  do you have to enable  global priority or just enter the number ? if it's the former i might have to go back in loot to enable it for the plugins that require it .

2 Assuming i did everything right , is it normal for the paper world merged patch  to be placed dead last in the loadorder ?

i did alter the value in Loot .

If it is not right , where should it go ?

1. just entering the number and it should be fine.

2. yes Paper World Map Merged.esp should be dead last in your Load Order no matter what.

Heya, planning on continuing to use SFO with Enhanced Landscapes.

Per Enhanced Landscapes page..."Make sure Enhanced Landscapes has a higher priority in MO as any other landscape mods & LodGen billboards!  If using NMM let Enhanced Landscapes overwrite all necessary files.".

You have Enhanced Landscapes set to load near the top of the order...Metadata instructions:  Cutting Room Floor.esp - Load After Enhanced Landscapes - Merged.esp.  CRF has Metadate -99800 and loads right after the ESMs...I can't even change that in Loot.

I'm confused?

Thx!

Heya, planning on continuing to use SFO with Enhanced Landscapes.

Per Enhanced Landscapes page..."Make sure Enhanced Landscapes has a higher priority in MO as any other landscape mods & LodGen billboards!".  Not sure if he means to prioritize the esp, or prioritize in the left window?

Would it make sense to add metadata to Enhanced Landscapes to load after SFO?  Not sure if that'd screw anything up as you have also have Cutting Room Floor.esp - Load After Enhanced Landscapes - Merged.esp.

Also, my Cutting Room Floor.esp is still loading just after my ESM's.  it has priority value set at -998000, and I can't delete the value.   Looking through the SRLE guide I don't see anything else about metadata for CRF?  NOt sure what's the situation??

Thx!

the CRF Rule is a left over from early day of the guide before we undertstood more about the whole dyndoload compatiblity thing the enhanced landscape has so this rule can be safely deleted.

Hi guys, I'm new here so be gentle! Believe it or not I only actually gave in and bought Skyrim for the first time two months ago, initially for the XBox360 and then soon after realising the error of my ways for the PC. I've spent the last four weeks reading everything I can on Nexus, watching hundreds of hours on YouTube, and finally stumbled across STEP. Initially, like every other newby I figured I knew best and if be able to make my list of two hundred or so mods I liked the look of work fine on my own - HAHAHA :p I was following DirtyWeasel's 2016 modding guide series but it's not complete, so I turned to STEP. I have worked through STEP Extended without any issues but then found SRLE and then today SRLE Extended hence why I am here. It contains just about everything I had on my list with a few substitutions and a few extras I don't want (most of the followers and a lot of the female body/nudity stuff). I'm going to do a fresh install and follow everything to the letter (SRLE then Extended) but I have a few questions. BTW, I'm a 43 year old company director, married 18 years with two teenage kids and a life. However I have found time for a lot of android coding (and winmo before that) so I'm comfortable with modding and modding tools. I haven't done anything on that side of things for a couple of years so I'm relishing wasting weeks of my life in getting this set up! Who needs sleep anyway...

So to my questions:

Has anyone got SRLE Ex to work well with PerMa rather than Ordinator, and if not why not?

Any reason why AGO/Nock to Tip/ABT are not included?

Why EFF and not AFT (or iAFT)?

Why I need and not RND (I'm guessing because of the stupid number of compatibility patches for RND)?

I'm guessing it's advisable to steer clear of mods like ETaC, Holds, TPOS which whilst very attractive seem to rule out too many other mods?

Hope much more difficult do Duel and the other combat mods make it? I was planning on just Vigor because I'm not that interested in hack n slash.

Finally, any reason not to use Skyrim Unbound rather than Alternative Start?

Sorry for so many questions (I'm sure there will be more...), but you ask seen to know what you're about and I figured no better place to ask!

Lexy, Enhanced Landscapes still needs to load before CRF as there are quite a few landscape conflicts in the esp that CRF must win.

Sorry for so many questions (I'm sure there will be more...), but you ask seen to know what you're about and I figured no better place to ask!

Most of the questions you pose are answered pretty simply with one of the following answers:

1) Mod is more recent and gets updated still. (Like the EFF query)

2) Less patches needed to make it work. (RND, ETAC etc)

3) General preferences of Darth Mathias. (AGO. It was in at one stage and was removed)

4) Stuff conflicts with stuff (Another reason why ETAC isn't there. It and Immersive Citizens dont play nice as yet)

As for Perma rather than Ordinator, while I haven't used it with an SRLE Extended load order I've had no issues getting it to work with SRLE. That would be a judgement call. Try it and see how you go. It's not that difficult to set up. Just that the Patcher can take time.

Another factor to consider is that tossing in something like ETAC will take up .esp/esm slots and by the time you've added Extended on top of SRLE you're a bit tight on the max limit for esp/esm files. Sure you can merge stuff down, but it's more work and gets more complicated.

If you decide not to use some of the mods in the guide it MAY mean Darth/Lexy's provided Resolution patch may not work and you'd need to make your own. Given you mention you're new to the sport of Skyrim modding, that may be difficult for you. It's not impossible and it's very learnable, but just mentioning is all.

Hope that helps?

And Welcome, BTW. :D

r.e. PerMa. I used it for a long, long time, but it got to be too complicated getting it to work with everything. But that was before it was updated, too, so it might be better now. Probably the main reason I swapped to Ordinator was because Ordinator is just so easy to update at any point in the game. The patching of PerMa is just too much of a bother, plus patching midgame screwed up my save. It wasn't worth it to me. Keeping up with the hundreds of mods in both SRLE and SRLE Extended is enough work as it is. Seems to me that simplifying whatever you can would be a great thing... if you actually want to play the game and not just mod it. ;)

The compatibility section on the EL page says to load CRF.esp after any EL files.

1. Ordiantor easier to install.

2. AGO Conflicts with Ordinator and there no patch

3. EFF is newer

4. I did use RND 2.0 before CACO come out but had to switch back cos as at the time there was no patch. I would like to switch back but RND 2.0 has gone since the mod author threw his toys out the pram.

5. compabiilty issue with ICAIO.

While I have used Perma I havn't usd with my pack.

I have add the rule back in don't knwo what Lecy removed it she been a bit hormonal at the monet.

Ok everyone I have a bit of a think about what we can do with regarding Enhanced Lighting for ENB since this is the only mod in my CR that requires Wyrsmtooth. We install the custom version of ELE_Lite_v0_95b_Only IL - NMM_BAIN   leaving out Wyrmstooth then merge all the esp's together there like 4 or 5; then I Should be able to issue a new CR without to much difficulty. Is this is a good idea or am I completely crazy.

I am thinking we can call the plugin something like ELE_Legendary_Fs_Lite.esp and it can go where ELE_Legendary_Fs_Wt_Lite.esp currently is at the moment in the LO. That way it shouldn't screw too much up
