SRLE Extended

Recommended Posts

Something to consider when converting esps to esms is that then you have no choice but to put them near the top of your load order. This could cause some conflicts that are hard to resolve. When I tried it with Legacy I ended up with a big wall in front of the museum door.

I've dropped DSR long time ago, NPCs and followers always got stuck their shields in their arms for me, and I had a lot of papyrus warnings, probably not harmful ones, but still.

So I switched to AllGearedUp and set it to use just 2 body slot (1 slot for each right weapon/greatsword/battleaxe, 1 slot for each left weapon/shield)

It works very well and I can set it to work as Equipping Overhaul if I want to (which I often do).

I've never went back to DSR nor EO, AGU is the way to go for me.

Darth...before going "berserk" and kiss DSR goodbye (I honestly believe it is not DSR...it just cannot be DSR)...have u tried a normal SR:LE profile (not extended) to see what's the deal in your game?

I believe that you have to start from this...

This. I have never seen a script menu lag... ever. It must be something in extended causing it.

The only thing the DSR patcher does is get a list of weapons and armors in your game and make fake versions of them then put them into a formlists for the script to search.

I don't think this lag can be tracked down to a single mod. I guess it's comparable to the string count issue. It's the big amount of mods of SRLE Extended that's hitting some kind of limit.

Although it would be nice to know what exactly is going on and why it's happening when the perk menu is opened.

Personally I would agree with you it's just odd the this lag only presents itself after DSR patcher has been run and the esp activated.

and just some everyone know a base SRLE Is perfectly fine no issues.

FWIW; I've used DSR in nearly all my builds (except when I tried Equipping Overhaul before it was abandoned) and have never found it to be problematic.

I've installed Interesting NPC's on top of several existing builds, and it always seems to herald the script lag endtimes. This is likely because I've already got a scripted combat mod, Frostfall, Hunterborn, etc. While Interesting is very interesting, it is also very demanding & probably requires it's own pack (light on other scripted mods). You've definitely got more know-how and better help than I, but every time I've tried to build my house of cards as high as SRLE:Extended it has all been brought low by too many scripted mods.

Food for thought, keep fighting the good fight though, lurking around here is teaching me alot.

Redirishlord  just so you know Interesting NPCs actaully I belive thes biggest script heavy mod in Extended. It was Dyndolod before Sheson worked his magic.

I am personally not using Interesting NPC's and i've not got this issue so I am convenced more then ever that Darth needs to save his sanitiy (and mine) bite the bullet and remove this mod from extended. Otherwise he will sacfrice other things to squeeze it in.

I always kept away from interesting NPCs myself. I've never had good luck running it for any length of time.

Don't worry i'll be nagging him until he gives in cos he has been drive me insane all day about this.

I use fUpdateBudgetMS=1.6 and it works great for me.  I don't know if it necessarily makes it "smoother" but it does ensure that, when I have a lot of scripts going off at once, all of the scripts execute.

I use most of a full SLRE and Extended, with a few other mods on top.

From SRLE I'm not currently using:

Bathing

Holidays

KS Hair

Alternate Start

From Extended I don't use:

Helgen Reborn

Lock Overhaul

Easy Wheel Menu

Molag Bal's

Moonpath

College Days

Noble Skyrim

Bigger Trees

Merta Assasin

Jaggersfeld

General Store

The followers I currently have are Mirai, Inigo and Recorder.

The other mods I'm using are:

Gold Adjustment

Beyond Reach

Moon and Star

Hunterborn

Populated Forts and Populated Dungeons (NO Asis Spawns)

Genesis

Dawn of Skyrim

Thunderchild

Music Merge

Smarter Combat Music

Leaf Rest

Morrowloot Ultimate

Verdant

EK Ring Limiter

CS Tag and Track

Artifacts of Boethiah

Art of the Catch

Sky City

Animal Tweaks (with the Skytest patch.  I just merged all the animal tweaks esps into one)

SFO

ELE Lite - Full Version (It looks amazing with Vividian ENB.  The fires really give a different feel to the world now.  Much better than just ELFX, IMO.  I'm using ELFX too, of course.)

A few other minor mods but these are the ones you really notice on a consistent basis.

I had a string count of about 52,500 to start and now it's up to about 53,300.  I'm level 15, beat the first dragon and have done a bunch of minor quests, notice board quests, and about 5 companion quests.  Not only is this the furthest the game has let me get in a while (my first dragon battle in months lasted 45 minutes.  Awesome!) but I've also had maybe 2 CTD, which were completely random and non-problematic when I restarted.  My memory logs have yet to fill up, which is beyond crazy to me considering how little I could do before worrying about them before.  I also have yet to have the annoying CTD on save bug (game is fine, save, load game later, CTD whenever you try to save, google, find voodoo magic, voodoo magic works (how did anyone even figure out that process...scratches head), voodoo magic stops working several hours later...) or any strange CTDs on loading like I would randomly get before the purge.  I do get a little lag going into the perk screen but it's not that bad, maybe a couple seconds, and doesn't seem to be interfering with anything else.  I do notice that the modified health, stamina, and magic numbers lag as well, so that might be a clue as to what the problem is.  It doesn't seem like it should be a difficult calculation but with so many mods adjusting those values, as well as skill levels, it could be.  Sorry for the long post, just wanted to update you on what is working for me right now.
