20th Cent. Weapons -Reborn- Issue: Destination path too long

Tried installing the mod "20th Century Wpns -Plus- Reborn for FWE 603 ..." but kept running into a problem with the file 'Ruger 10_22Charger StockExt v0 LSSCI.nif" refusing to install. I tried to extract that file from the archive and manually insert it into the mod when I get...

 

"The file name(s) would be too long for the destination folder. You can shorten the file name and try again, or try a location that has a shorter path"

 

I didn't even know that was a possible error to have on a computer. I'm running Windows 8 if it matters.

The file name for this mod is very long and depending on the folder where the MO mods are installed it is possible to exceed the Windows 260 character maximum (including the drive identifier) in the full path name for some of the files. I suggest reinstalling this mod and using a different and shorter name for the mod in MO.

Try using "long path tool". Maybe it can help.
