Toosdey Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 I forgot to install MO in my skyrim folder, and instead installed it in Program Files(x86). Does S.T.E.P. tell you to install into the skyrim folder for ease of access, or because it is a performance gain?
0 GrantSP Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 The preferred location for MO is in ANY folder that isn't under Windows UAC, such as Program Files, Program Files(x86) or in a Steam sub-folder.It makes no difference to performance or acces to files other than avoiding potential problems with access rights caused by Windows.
0 TechAngel85 Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Yeah, I'd take it out of the Program Files. Skyrim shouldn't be installed there either.
0 hishutup Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Just here to agree with everyone else. Meve it out of program files. I do need to open a discussion on win 10 though...
