Question

Posted (edited)

Where can i find BetterQuestObjective-AMBContentAddonPatch.esp and BetterQuestObjective-CuttingRoomFloor.esp that where included in the Extended patch?

i'm using the Combined Plugin patch but i am still installing most mods from extended, its easier to sort my mods without having to edit the Extended Patch with TES5Edit..

EDIT: i am sorry if this isn't in the correct forums, if that is so can someone move the topic?

They only show if you have the corresponding mods installed. It purposely checks for the plugins or it just doesn't even ask you.

I have a newer version of EBQO that isn't released yet since I was helping to make patches for it when I did the STEP Patches so they might not be released yet. Probably just one of those whoops moments that I didn't even realize what I had done.

So, you aren't using Cutting Room Floor and AMB Content Addon, correct? Those are the two mods you need to remove dependence. THe EBQO stuff are not masters, so they don't need to be deleted. Those records can be left in the STEP Patches without messing up anything else. You just want to delete the records from the STEP Patch that exist in the CRF and AMB mods.

i am using both CRF and Content Addon, that is why i am asking for the patches.. i am using the Combined Plugin patch instead of the Extended Patch..

re-ran the installer and couldn't find them..

Yeah, I may have added support for EBQO and those mods thinking it would get updated, but it didn't. If you load the EBQO and those mods then there will be a couple Quest records that need to get forwarded. Umm... basically just forward the records from CRF and AMB to the whatever generic patch you have or the combined plugin.

Although it'd surely be a PITA, I'm sure the modding community would love the fixes integrated into the S.T.E.P. patches as separate patches for each mod and mod combination; it may also make updating S.T.E.P. and using different packs easier, too.

Speaking of which USKP and such have updated, so we need updated patches, mostly for the quest fixes. Please use the available version of Better Quest Objectives, as many will be missing those fixes otherwise.

I know my custom patch jumped 50 kb or so with the update.

There would be thousands of possible combinations for that. For Extended probably millions of combinations. I would never finish getting to all of them before an update would be necessary and I'd have to start all over. Plus, the separate patches are already provided by the mods that need patches.

I'll update after a couple days to allow for modders to update their mods if they are going to do so.

you mean that you made those patches yourself and have merge them to the extended patch but you haven't release them? or is something else :ermm:  ?

I am confused, i am a layman.. was just looking for both (EBQO AMBContentAddonPatch & CRF patches) because they are described here and i am not using the extended patch..

They don't exist yet. Accidentally added the to the step patches thinking EBQO would be updated already. I have access to some of the stuff from the unreleased version because I made a lot of patches for it. It was just an error on my part. I don't think it will affect a lot not having them.

Rightfully so --- I just mean mods which don't (and will probably never) have patches. At the very least, there could be unified documentation of conflicts --- even if it's just "Hey I saw v1.2 Foo conflicts with v1.3 Blah in ~5 places" --- like I've started to document myself in https://forum.step-project.com/topic/5708-forwarding-records-from-dlc-unofficial-patches-a-list/

PS: This does not mean I am not greatly appreciative of your work none-the-less :)
