Question

Posted

I have need of a modified version of the "active modlist" export to CSV ability of MO.  I need to be able to export the list sorted by priority instead of alphabetically like it does now.

BACKSTORY: I maintain a "This Is How I Did It" kind of page on my website for my mod setup of the moment.  I do this mainly for me, but also for the one person that visits my website every year.  Every so often, I get in a mood to make major changes to the setup.  Once I'm satisfied with the changes, I update that page.

So I export the active modlist as a first step.  The next step is to take the alphabetical list into Excel and manually sort and group nearly 400 mods (today's count: I have 378 mods in the left pane of MO).  As you can imagine, this takes...a few minutes.  If I had the list already sorted by priority, updating the page would be SO much easier...well, quicker.

Thank you Tanin for a great product.  I really appreciate all the effort that I know has to go into it.  I know this request is minor in the grand scheme of your plans, but I would love to see it in a future release.

You could open the modlist.txt file of your current profile (%Program Files%Mod Organizerprofilesmodlist.txt) to get a list of all the mods by priority. However that list starts from the bottom of your mod list, so you'll have to use a tool/command to reverse the lines.

This would still be nice to have, a sorted option. Even if the export list just included the priority numbers it would be useful, I think.
