Hi everyone. I've read many threads and tutorials for reducing save game bloat, but I just have some very simple questions I haven't found the answer to if that's OK.
Assuming there are little to no uninstalled mod issues in one's save game, from what I've read the biggest issue is hoarding items. I was wondering if these things I'm proposing would work to remove excessive items from one's game save entirely:
- simply selling off a ton of items - does this work or will the game save them in the invisible merchant's chest?
- put them in a dead body and open console and "markfordelete" that body. Will all the items automatically be removed from the game too?
- placing them in non-safe containers. I haven't been able to find out how long it takes for an unsafe chest or some regular barrel out in Riverwood to respawn. Anyone know? I've tried to wait 20 days only to still find them there =\
- or... do I have to actually manually "markfordelete" like 200 baskets (don't ask) one at a time?
If selling works that would seem the quickest and most practical.
