deathneko11 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Ok so I have an intel Motherboard that I have no use for. Long story so don't ask :p Anyway, this is the board: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128499R Anyway, instead of throwing it away I want to sell it. I'm thinking around $100 U.S. dollars. I figured I'd go ahead and ask here if anyone wants it, I am willing to drop the price a little for a fair offer. btw I did some searching and I have seen the board average 175$ so I think this is a fair price. I am located in texas, U.S.A. If anyone wants it let me know via p.m.
Aiyen Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 "This is not spam" Wonder why the spammers never got the bright idea to type that before they post! :) Price is fair, but I am not in need of a new Mobo, and you are also a bit out of my local area code.... like half a globe away :)
WilliamImm Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 ...and while I am looking to upgrade my CPU/mobo at some point, I live pretty much across the country from you, and the socket is the wrong type for the processor that I would get. And plus, I'm really more looking to upgrade my pitiful storage space to something more reasonable.

deathneko11 Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 Ok I'll leave this up for another day or two, and if no one shows interest by then then I'll go ahead and delete this (or move it somewhere out of the way). Oh and if no one want's to buy, but is interested in trading a decent hard drive for it then I'd be happy to do so. I'm really hoping to get a velociraptor, been eyeballing a western digital one with 300GB on newegg lately :p
phazer11 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 If you don't get any offers head over to overclock.net and go to their For Sale/Wanted Subforum and see if anyone needs one like yours and if not then post yours.
james4832 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Why dont you just get a ssd, surely they are a similar price as the velociraptors, but quieter, run cooler, and more reliable?

I am located in texas, U.S.A. If anyone wants it let me know via p.m.I believe that this is compatible with all that would fit on a LGA1156 board, no? I have an Intel DP55KG that is limited to 3 GB/s SATA and 16 GB RAM capacity. I am interested in the SATA boost, but am not sure that it is worth the trouble to upgrade this small step. My current board was a pain to install into my box, since I had to attach my CoolerMaster V8 before I installed the mobo ... PITA. Getting it out again could be a *****. Can you (or anyone) verify my assessment, or that there may be other advantages of this board over my DP55KG?
Aiyen Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Well has more PCIe 16x slots if you are doing multi card setup, or just in general more space. Overall the board is superior to the DP55KG in almost every way. However only slightly. The main things that I take notice of is better SATA options, and a really superior cooling profile. Those tiny cooling blocks on the DP55KG is nothing against what is on this. This board is better designed for OC. The general polish and layout of the board is also superior imo. Of course it might put certain limits on what sort of CPU cooler you can use, and I do not know if the V8 can actually fit properly.

This board also lacks PCIe 3.0 though, and more PCIe slots are not alluring to me (I have 1x16 or 2x8 and am using only one card), and 32 GB RAM is just stupid for my use, so it is only slightly edging my board in terms of performance for what I need to use. Not worth $100 for me. @ deathnekoPM me about this if you aren't able to get rid of it for the price you want. I will want to wait until late January anyway before buying myself any toys. I am definitely interested in squeezing what I can out of my existing hardware, and your board is about the max I could use without changing anything else.
deathneko11 Posted December 13, 2013 Author Posted December 13, 2013 Z, if you can pm me your location then I can get a shipping cost estimate and figure out a cheap price for it. I might knock a good chunk of it off for you, because I don't think you are so far from me that shipping would be rediculously high. I would also be amenable to making a parts trade if you think you'd be interested. I can pm details of what i'm looking for in terms of hardware. Completely up to you ;)
