So I was trying to view some of my posts from last year to make sure I was remembering the time frame for something correctly and I can only go back 50 pages of posts (my posts) which takes me to around June of this year. When I use the find all threads (that I created) that seems to go back to July 2012 so... idk is there a 50pg limit to it or post number, or maybe something got lost in the server migrations or something?

Nothing got lost in the migration. You are hitting the max limit of search results that can be returned which is 1000 (20 results per page X 50 pages = 1000 results).

Ah got it, I figured it might be that, it was that or my second guess which was server migration. Well it'll be annoying to slog through everything to try and find the post I was looking for. Oh well.

You can use Advanced Search to get closer to what you are looking for.

 

Search by Username

Enter your username.

 

Search Options

Select Find posts from 6 months ago (or whatever time frame you want to start from).

Select and older radio button.

 

Display Options

Select posts radio button.

I recently increased this to 1000 (default) from our rather previous restrictive value (25 I think). I got really tired of not finding historical results even with focused searches. Technically, it could be increased significantly, but I defer to s4n on that.
