I wasn't too keen on the versions on the early pages of this thread, but this latest one I really like. At first I thought the chevrons had a slightly too-modern feel, but now, in combination with that font, I think it works. It has a sort of Dwemer feel about it, which fits nicely the technical nature of STEP.

 

I'll put it on the parchment title page and see how it looks. I notice that page also needs fixing, as it still shows "2.x.x" from the rough version.

+1 to the above, but the final consensus choice IS more lore friendly. may want to keep this version on hand for a rainy day though ;)

Well Monty is using for the actual STEP pdf logo. I wouldn't mind seeing this one replace the current bbs logo either.

Colors could use adjustment I think. lt gray for in place of white and maybe dk,dk gray in place of black?

I'd make the background transparent like the current logo with a textured light gray text. Not sure if we have the psd for that one.

You might consider a framed version as well for comparison.

I haven't looked at the horizontal one. Fri may be referring to the vertical one which has 22 layers (2 hidden).

Fri mentioned updating the BB logo, but I believe he was referring to the logo created by Elven when referring to the layers.
