YamiJustin Posted February 7 Posted February 7 This is not my first rodeo. I've done this before over the years. Last time I was in a pickle: I had version like 1.6.640 or something when Skyrim updated to a later version, so then I had to keep things on a lower version. But it seems like Bethesda has not updated the game since 2024. I will follow the guide as well as I can. Wish me luck. 1
Mercury71 Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Good luck. Latest version of the guide is 2.3 and it is as up to date as it can be. But be aware that some mods have been updated and there are only a few people working on the guide. I have the guide installed and testing mods for v 2.4 and it is working very well. Suggestions: - Mods updated since latest guide release. Read the change logs! - Maybe try Pandora instaed of Nemesis. (not very important since the guide dont mess with animations that much) 1
YamiJustin Posted February 7 Author Posted February 7 I will make sure to pay attention to anything that has been updated after this! Thanks
z929669 Posted February 8 Posted February 8 I've been working on the 2.4 guide avidly for a few weeks now. It's slow going, because we'll be switching to Azurite Weathers and possibly landscape and even mountains ...so lots of things I'm testing. My latest findings are that EVT doesn't look as great as it used to, since I'm running 4K now. The LOD also has issues, so I'm working on an update for EVT Lush now, since that will be a big player in finalizing the 2.4 landscape. Once I get that done, I will move to UI, animations, and a bunch of good mod candidates in testing. It's gonna be a while, but it'll be worth the wait.

If I may be so bold to ask here even though it is slightly off topic, has it been decided yet if STEP 2.4 will stick to ENB or switch over to Community Shaders? 1

We will most likely move to CS and Azurite, but we're still testing many other potential changes/additions.
