Problem with grass

As the title says I got a problem with Skyrim grass. It doesn´t appear when I play. Grass lod is visible but normal grass doesn´t.

My settings in Skyrim ini are

[Grass]

bAllowCreateGrass=1

bAllowLoadGrass=0

bDrawShaderGrass=1

bEnableGrassFade=0

fGrassFadeRange=6144

fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance=7000.0000

fGrassMinStartFadeDistance=0.0000

fGrassWindMagnitudeMax=125

fGrassWindMagnitudeMin=5

iGrassCellRadius=2

iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=15

iMinGrassSize=60

 

And in Skyrimprefs

 

[Grass]

fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance=6144.0000

fGrassMinStartFadeDistance=0.0000

fGrassStartFadeDistance=6144.0000

First, I suggest you use BethINI to get all of your game settings in order. Some of the GRASS values you have in skyrim.ini only work in skyrimprefs.ini, IIRC.

Also, Cathedral Grass works well with (in skyrimprefs.ini):

fGrassStartFadeDistance=6144.0000

and in skyrim.ini:

fGrassFadeRange=14128.0000 (but I think DoubleYou recommends also testing with 20272.0000 now)

Also see this topic if you are using a grass mod with shorter grasses.

Thanks for your answer. I followed STEP guide and its BethINI part. As for grass I use cathedral.

I´ll delete this afternoon all my ini files, use skyrim launcher and then BethINI again and post the results here.

The thing is... grass dissapeared in the middle of a game. There was grass. Then I loaded a save game and grass was gone.

 

Edit: I just deleted all inis on my laptop. Launched the game in the launcher. Closed it. Opened Bethini and followed STEP instruction.

• fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance=7000.0000
• fGrassMinStartFadeDistance=0.0000

Are you running BethINI or BethINI Pie? The above is true if using either, so not sure how you have those settings if you deleted your game INIs before running BethINI. They are stored in the BethINI 'Setup' path.

Regardless, test with a new game, and set grass fade to 20272 (fGrassFadeRange=20272)

Is there a guide for BethINI Pie? Because it has new options.
