Mod Organizer 2 and FNIS troubles.

I'm using MO 2.1.1 and FNIS 7.2 for Skyrim SE and it's installed properly.  When i try to run it via the MO drop down, the box saying "initializing vfs" pops up, followed by the box that has the "unlock" button on it.  That box is only there for a fraction of a second, then vanishes and FNIS never opens. I've tried to reinstall it, run as admin, checked the file path, etc.  Completely at a loss now.
