Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

Hi Neo,

I love the new Mod Merges section. Great work!

It will be easy to keep an updated SRLE profile to use in future games.

The merges will only need to be performed when starting a new gameplay. It will be easier to update new versions of these same mods without having to execute the merge right away.

I use that same logic when patching in the end of the guide.

Glad you like it. I just went through myself and personally verified all the merges again. So should be good to go. :D

All,

I have updated the guide to move merging to the bottom of the mod installation section. Hopefully this alleviates some confusion for people. I am still working to clarify some things, add links, etc but please provide any feedback. I will likely begin adding additional merges once the format changing slows down.

Hi Neo I like the Mod Merges Section but I have a question do we leave them Merges at the botom of the guide or should we move them to be underneath there respected mods. if not you want to look at the overwrite Conflicts in MO

e.g In the main guide Vividian ENB is above Realistic water two (thus realistic water two textures win over the ENB)

but in the merges section it is the other way round which means the ENB is winning over Realistic water two.

Duh I didn't notice those instructions.

It's amazing just how big of an FPS Hit Skyrim Flora Overhaul really is just removed for testing and I can maintain 60fps 90% of the time (even with mods like enhaned skyrim landscapes installed) add it back in and it goes down to 50-45FPS.

I was curious have you also tested with the Decrease Those Plants options from the Ruffled Feather ?

Ok , i have decided to not take the easy way out this time and make my own CR patch for the SRLE : Explorer's Edition guide .

These are the fixes that need to be made : https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Nearox/SRLE_Explorers_Conflict_Resolution#LOOT_Rule

Now to make sure i understand this correctly, i am gonna explain how i think it must be done for the first 2 conflicts and you guys can tell me if i am right or wrong .

First one :

Block 0 \ Sub-Block 9 \ 000133C6 <RiverwoodSleepingGiantInn>

Conflict Resolution: Use record from ELE_Legendary_Fs_Wt_Lite.esp
Problem Resolved: Needs to put into the Explorer's Edition Conflict Resolution ESP in order to facilitate the succesful merging of subrecord 00064110.

1 open TES5edit  and load all the plugins .

2. open up  ELE_Legendary_Fs_Wt_Lite.esp to the specified  location , right click the  record  and select  "copy  as  new record into ..." and  then select  new file  and name it into what the CR  ,esp file will be called .

is this correct ?

next one  :

Block 0 \ Sub-Block 9 \ 000133C6 <RiverwoodSleepingGiantInn> \ Persistent \ 00064110

Conflict Resolution: Use record from Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul Merged.esp then move the Record flags from 3DNPC.esp.
Problem Resolved: Changes from Interesting NPCs and Immersive Citizens needed to be merged.

open up   Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul Merged.esp  to the specified location  and then in the right  panel ,  drag the record from  the 3DNPC,esp  column to  the  Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul Merged.esp column .

Is this also correct ?

#2 you should be using: Copy As Override Into... then select .

Block 0 \ Sub-Block 9 \ 000133C6 \ Persistent \ 00064110

Is this also correct ?

Use "Copy As Override Into" on the ICAO esp, in the dialog select your newly created CR.esp - THEN - Drag the flags portion of the record from 3DNPC.esp to the new CR.esp column. Effectively merging the two in the new CR esp.

Thanks  neo  , did the  CELL ones  , will do the other ones tomorrow.

One thing i am worrying about is that in some cases  , the record  where in the temporary folder rather then the persistent ones  as stated in the guide .

Might this lead  to any problems ?

also  after this post  ill post any other  problems i might have  in the  SRLE - Explorers  thread .

With FNIS 6.0, how do the weapon draw/sheathe animations work now?

I've only briefly tested but, it seems as if the offhand no longer does an animation upon drawing two 1handed melee weapons?

It should draw one handed when using one, two handed when using two. If that's not happening bug Fore. :)

Hello Community i need some help with the installtion of "Better males" because i am kinda confused and need more of a step by step approach or someone, who can clarify one or 2 things, so i am sure i don't mess things up.

I guess i did something wrong, because i can't find the malehead.dds in <Mod Organizer Path>/Mods/Better Males/textures/actors/character/male only malehead_msn.dss

so i just list my steps i've done during the installation:

1.) i downloaded Faces-GeonoxFaces v1.2 and Underwear-Default v.2.3.2 with MO

2.) I installed Faces-GeonoxFaces and now i was quite unsure what to do exactly. In the content, i rightclicked <Documentation and Options> "Set data directory", <SMOOTH FACE Genox Option> "Set data directory"; <Data> "Set data directory" -> hit OK       Was that the right approach so far?

3.) I installed Underwear-Default, rightclicked <[OPTIONS]> "Set data directory", <[HAIRY BODY TEXTURES]> "Set data directory" and now i was really confused. Should I uncheck everything beside the <BodyHair Lvl3> or go again "Set data directory".

I guess i misunderstood something, since i am quite new to the modding and not a native speaker. So if anyone could help me out, what i did wrong there, i would be really grateful.

Forgive my stupidity ^^
