Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

Are the Immersice citizens plugins even safe to merge at all? They contain navmesh records and you always need to be careful with these kind of mods due to the record "Navigation Mesh Info Map" which can't be merged. I'm not saying merging them will break the mod, because I have no idea. But I would recommend to keep them seperate, if you're not close to the plugin limit.

I was just wondering about that too :p If it works like the ETaC merges, I think only the last selected merged plugin will have their 'Navigation Mesh Info Map' record copied. If more than one of the plugins to be merged has that record, the record would have to be deleted from the resulting merged plugin and then rebuilt in the CK, simply by opening the merged file in the CK and then saving it.

The problem would then be that the non-esm masters (in this case Cutting Room Floor, Immersive Citizens, Provincial Courier Service & RealisticRoomRental) will have to be temporarily esmified in Wrye Bash (right click -> esmify self) in order to open the patch file in the CK. After saving in the CK is done, they will have to be espified again. Simply opening stuff in the CK is also annoying because of all the error dialogues that you have to click through (which I believe are not necessarily relevant?)

At least, that is how it was explained for the ETaC patches merge in the Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim forum.

Knowing this and the fact that the new update doesn't merge well I left the main file untouched and only merged the patches using the above method. The next challenge was how to deal with SR Conflict Resolution, because it relies on the merged plugin as a master file.. Perhaps this is solved by using WB to change the master from "Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul Merged" to "Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul".. assuming the SR Conflict Resolution plugin only relies on the main IC plugin and not on the patches.

Hm, maybe I should just wait until Neo figures out a solution :P

Do not know if this was intended, but I noticed that Animated Clutter ovverides the SMIM mesh for the barrels, reverting them to the vanilla textures. This way, when you install Realistic Boat Bobbing with the SR options, you have barrels with SMIM textures on the ships and barrels with vanilla texture on land...

Hi, after installing SR LE for the 3rd time (identified the basic errors I did before as I am not used to modding) and being pretty sure I didn't do an error this time, I still have massive issues making the game impossible to play. Besides some minor bugs that occur sometimes (like I couldn't take Gunjars stuff in helgen and was blocked, or that some alternatives from live another life just doesn't work), I also have major issues, like very low FPS insides (2-3 FPS). So first question: are the "minor bugs" I mentioned above just normal as you can't play without bugs with such a modded game or is it cause I did something wrong (Don't asking how to fix it I'll find out alone)?

And: are the "major issues" related to my system or is it because I did something wrong again?

My system:

Win10

I5 4670k

Amd r9 280x (3go of DDR5)

8Go RAM clocked at 1600 MHz

Thank you for your help your, awesome mod compilation (which I would love to enjoy :D), and awesome community, and sorry for my bad English.

EDIT: sorryyyyyyyyy wrong place to post this dunno how to delete it so just ignore it

EotW Dawnguard DLC Textures Remastered looks like it was just pulled. I should've finished that section of the guide last night...

Fun stuff, hopefully whatever the asset stealing issue is it will be resolved soon. Will give it a few days.

As for AI Overhaul, avoid the new version for now until the author can comment on the errors, I posted on his comment thread. They are there in the non-merged main plugin as well (TES5Edit -> Check Errors).

He has replied that it is an issue with TES5Edit and Zilav apparently says it will be fixed in the next update. No idea when that will be, though.

Yeah looks like an issue with TES5Edit.

What I ended up doing was taking all the IA patches and merging them (4 slots => 1 slot) as Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul patches

this might  be the best option as it is the main plugin causing the issue not the patches but i wait until Neo decides what to do

Oh hey. Realistic Needs and Diseases is back. Still seems that iNeed is the more straightforward mod of this type but nice to know it's getting some support again.

that very interesting going to give this a look i've always prefered RND over ineed.

think there a few mods in the list that I need to go over a check for compatiblity patches just need to remember which mods they were

Ditto. I liked RND better than iNeed as well but patching was a huge pain, iNeed is much better in that regard. I expect Last Seed to supplant both.

Chesko plans to release Campfire, Frostfall 3.0, Last Seed by the end of next month.

had a qucik look at the new RND mod in TES5Edit looks like it has been cleaned up a bit there doesn't seem to any major incompatbilities, althrough my skills with conflict resolution aren't exactly expert it is definetly worth consideration.
