thorgal Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Is there another place to get the KS hairdos mod ? Most of the links in the guide seem dead and those that work are slow as hell .
Darth_mathias Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 does anyone else think that Vividian ENB, SRO and Aspen trees make skyrim look very cartoonish?
exaunique Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 LOD of them trees are a bit off yep... STEP Extended had it a bit better in that regard. But ENB Realvision was sooo over saturated on its recommended settings, that i cant really complain about Vividian :)

I wanted to come back to this for a sec because i keep thinking i installed some of these wrong . Some of those textures have exactly the same name but end on n.dds. Made up example : Purplehorse.ddsPurplehorse_n.dds Do i have to remove the latter one as well or do those stay ? Ihave installed mods plenty of times but never went as deep as to selectively choose which textures to install yet

They go together, the file with the _n.dds contains the normal maps for the textures.
thorgal Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Thanks . would it cause problems if any where to be removed ? Not that i mind to go and recheck my installed mods to make doubly sure , but if it doesn't cause an issue i might leave it like that .

They are used so textures do not appear 'flat'.
thorgal Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 thanks for the link . But since those textures are not installed it won't cause any problems or screw anything up ?

For that matter if there was a Purplehorse_p.dds, or Purplehorse_g.dds, or PurpleHorseXYZ.dds, etc they would also be part of it. * is a standard windows wildcard surprised many people have problems with it.

hazelwolf Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) Ok, my Java has just updated to Version 8.31 and now SUM won't work saying the "javaw.exe" executable can't be found. This is despite installing it and making sure it did so correctly. Edit: Disregard that, I fail at following instructions. Forgot to set SUM as executable. Edited January 26, 2015 by hazelwolf
Razorsedge877 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Alright now I am confused about the * question. Neo your very smart with computers and you might assume we all are computer literate but we aren't. I for example build houses. Skyrim revisited was alot easier to follow when making patches and so on but you also had more directions. But we also understand you probly dont have time to do all that typing. Thank you once again for all the work you put into this and answering our questions

Thank you once again for all the work you put into this and answering our questions* stands for a substitution of anything that can go between the two surrounding characters. So c*t can stand for "cat", "coot", "c098dfgdkasfapoier0789t", etc... So "terrain*.dds" stands for all files that begin with "terrain" and have a ".dds" extension, versus "terrain*_n.dds", which would only stand for all "terrain" files of the "_n.dds" variety, ie "terrain1_n.dds", "terrain2_n.dds", etc... and NOT "terrain1_p.dds", etc... 2
