Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Spiffyman: Does it happen while you move around near the textures? In that case then it is because the parallax (_p.dds) file is not matching the normal map. What you see is the two depth effects fighting each other rather then complementing. Depending on which angle you watch the model from it will look differently all the time.. which can be quite nauseating to look at imo

The only issue you should ever have with parallax is a bit of stretching when it is meant to look like the object is going out or inwards.

So I'm noticing there is no longer a "aMidianBorn_ContentAddon.esp" in ICH version folder. Am I reading the guide wrong? I noticed ICH has been updated recently. If so there is no longer an aMidianBorn_ContentAddon.esp to add to the game.

Also, Audio Overhaul needs to be updated, as well as real shelter, and wisemans traps.

I know Neov is busy, no rush, just figured I would mention it and hopefully it helps!

1. Um, yes there is? Its included in the download on the book of silence page.

2. Already updated Audio Overhaul to 2.2 with hotfix a few days ago.  Wisemans traps today. Waiting for real shelter new version to come out of beta.

Thanks for being on the guide as always Neov. This is the second time I am installing guide, new comp. (WOOT!) So I guess what I'm not understanding is:

"Special Installation: Do not install the following file(s) and/or folder(s):
aMidianborn - Content AddOn:

  • Improved Closefaced Helmets Version folder
  • aMidianBorn_ContentAddon.esp (Instead, use the version found in the Improved Closefaced Helmets version folder.)
  • aMidianBorn_ContentAddOn_Installation directions.txt"

I would delete the esp from here, but I find no version in ICH? Thanks, sorry for confussion.

EDIT: Wait, I think I get it, nevermind. Sorry.

In the installation section of RS Children Overhaul it tells you to install the Books of Skyrim patch as well, which comes with the RSChildren_PatchBooksofSkyrim.esp. This file is not recognized by BOSS and the guide has not have any BUM rules listed. So what BUM rule should I set for this file? (It may have to be added to the guide as well).

Nevermind about the above, I just noticed the merging.

Furthermore some random observations:
Telvanni Reborn mod has been taken down from the nexus site (not sure whether or not it will come back).
Serious HD Retexture Skyrim is at version 3.0beta, whereas the guide is still at version 2.0 (not sure if this is on purpose).

Ah yes, forgot Telvanni was removed... ug will see what i can do here.

Serious HD, intentional to use old version.

I have a copy that I found that seems to be working great, Neo. Want me to find it for you again?

Dear Neo,

A post of mine on 30 October 2014 - 02:05 PM - ( page 280 )

Maybe I was drunk on coffee and submitted foolishness and therefore didn't receive a reply on it  ::D:

But at the time I think those edits were correct, please let me know which of the two roads I was walking, down the path of foolishness or correctliness :;):

If and when you have time of course.

Its probly foolish to ask but the RS Children Mod Merge is the only one that doesn't say:

Custom Options:

  • Uncheck "Renumber FormIDs"

I just wanted to confirm that FormIDs are supossed to be renumbered for this merge.
