Ogham
Iirc there are some dlc masks not covered by Apophysis yet. :)ah, I shoud have guessed but saw so many alterations I thought they were all covered. On a side note, has Automatic Variants ever been on your radar ?I always found it annoying that every draugr, skeever and wolf etc. looked the same.Haven't tried it yet, but thought maybe you have and found that the available textures weren't good enough or you ran into other issues ?Anyways, tomorow my order for 2x GiBy4GB D5 X GTX970 G1 Gaming R should arrive so won't bother you the next few days with questions :) Link to comment
Darth_mathias
interesting i have a Asus GTX 670 4GB intel i5-4670K@ 4.0GHz the test going through helgen open cinematic upto the point were you get off the cart what you guys think? Average FPS = 33 Edited October 10, 2014 by Darth_mathias Link to comment
Heliadhel
Well, Darth I had a GTX 670 2GB, i5 2500k overclocked and i was getting 40-45 on the cart down to helgen. But then at the point i tested that, not all of the mods were installed (but the enb was) particularly of note: verts Flora overhaul wasnt and that is one hungry monster. phazer11
Darth. Is that with ENB enabled? My laptop has a GTX 670MX and with Skylight ENB I get around 35 FPS in the opening cinematic. Link to comment
Darth_mathias
yes the enb is enabled i am using the vanilla colour version of Vividian enb just ran the same test and without the enb i'm getting: Max FPS= 60Average FPS = 53 So in conclusion the enb gives my sysytem a massive performance reducion. with enboost enable without ENB active Max FPS= 60Average FPS = 50 not complain i just find it all interesting what these mods are doing to my system. PingouinMalin
Which is normal as far as I know. With the Enb on, I run between 30 and 50 most of the time. Without, I never go below 60. Link to comment
Heliadhel
Darth Go to the Vividian ENB thread page on STEP forum. I posted there with some performance issues and, by turning off all of the ENB elements one by one I found that the one having the biggest impact by far was the ambient occlusion setting. towards the bottom of this page:https://forum.step-project.com/topic/3828-vividian-weather-lighting-enhancement-cot-rcrn-and-pure-weather/page-22 Find my post becasue just after it a kind soul (Aiyen) gave me his minimal ambient occlusion settings and it was worth 15 fps with no real visible impact to me. shaunlewis
Hi, First of all, I have to thank Neovalen for the all the hard work - I had been following the guide and using it to help inform a few changes to my performance STEP:CORE install, but my hardware was never able to cope with a full SR:LE install. I upgraded my hardware this week, and I finally get to see the difference - and what a difference it is! I come with a question, and a warning. First the warning, for those going through the guide for the first time; pay close attention to the order of the mods when doing the merge. I did the merging of RWT at 3am, and I didn't notice I had inverted the order of the two Falksaar and WT patches in MO. It resulted in river wood being flooded with icebergs, and took me an hour or so to track down! Next the question: The guide instructs the installation of the Hearthfire support optional for Live Another Life, but the download page states that "Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions" is required for this, but its not included in the guide. I went ahead and installed the multiple adoption mod anyway, just under Alternate Start, and I don't seem to have any problems (not really tested it yet, however!). I was just wondering if that was the right thing to do, or if the guide omits this mod for a reason? Thanks again, Shaun Link to comment
Darth_mathias
Heliadhel applied the changes you suggested the ran the open cinematic test again max FPS = 60Average = 31 so real diffence in frames per second Link to comment
Ogham
Hello Neo, Is the following perhaps an old entry ? TES5 isn't showing any errors for the QNAM. 0001E60D EncBandit04TemplateMelee Conflict Resolution: Use record from OBIS.esp then move QNAM from Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp.Problem Resolved: Texture lighting fix from unofficial patches was not properly forwarded. Wardy
Hi, Just signed up because I was running through alternate starts and encountered a problem in the Thalmor Embassy. Walls and floors were missing depending on where you were standing. Apparently this was a problem with earlier versions of ELFX and also screwed up the quest in this area so providing this bug wasn't my screw up and others are suffering from this problem here's a fix. TESVEdit ID's: 000FEDAC - 000FEDAD - 000FEDAE - 000FEDAF Copy Enhanced Lights and FX records as override into patch (eg: Your SR Conflict Resolution.esp) Seems that ELE-Merged as created in the guide wasn't carrying over the fix from later versions of ELFX. Though considering I only started modding Skyrim a month ago starting with your lovely guide (Thanks BTW!) I might be wrong about that. Link to comment
Nauglamir
Hello, just a general question:I much enjoyed Skytest when playing Skyrim about 2 years ago and can remember that it was part of SR in the past. As I couldn't find any answer on the Forums - what was the specific reason to drop it from the guide? Any major problems? Edited October 13, 2014 by Nauglamir Link to comment
Neovalen
Hello, just a general question:I much enjoyed Skytest when playing Skyrim about 2 years ago and can remember that it was part of SR in the past. As I couldn't find any answer on the Forums - what was the specific reason to drop it from the guide? Any major problems?1. It wasn't removed per se.... Just not put back in when the restart happened.2. SkyTest is very heavy on the game between new spawns and AI packages so adding it on needs to be weighed carefully.3. My attention has been elsewhere with my vacation and testing Perkus Maximus. Link to comment
