Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

Yes you can do that from both dd and hearthfire esp/esm. :)

Then if so, don't matter which one you go.

About the Eyes of Beauty, I am sure, it is very clear. Only Dawnguard, means only Dawnguard, and never the main file. Which part is not clear?

About the version he states, it will not make a difference in the statement above. Still clearly only Dawnguard.

Na, I am pretty sure this is right as it is. :)

It's just that the instructions become somewhat confusing if you don't pay attention to every detail.

Nevertheless its clear for us but for some it might not be ;)

Cos he sometimes states it diffirent way.

Ok I found something again: SkyTEST - Realistic Animals and Predators

Has Dawnguard and Dragonborn patches in the optional files.

Neo you do not have those in your guide, but you past this point already for DB update.

So I dont know if some stuff you do there is relevant?

The Hearthfire part probably still needs and the Distant DetailHF.

Edit: Just now Serious HD Retexture Skyrim is updated to 2.0

He redid some textures and added Dawnguard and Dragonborn stuff.

I'll take a look tonight on these. Didn't see the optionals you mentioned for SkyTEST will also look at those tonight.

For the eyes.. Dawnguard optional only.

Tested Sky Revisited up to 4.7.  Stability definitely takes a hit with SkyTest, Deadly Dragons and AV even with the tesedits.

I ctd'd twice when approaching a dragon kill.

AV and SKYtest seem to only work together.  I can't enable one without the other without having an instant CTD at load screen (weird).  I noticed after the AV patch process that it generated a invalidation file .bsa in the MO bsa folder.  I don't know what thats all about.

And yea, just in general what was once rock solid stable system starts going off the deep end with these mods enabled.

Skytest probably needs those dawnguard and dragonborn patches to help with stability. I've always found Skytest to be unstable almost every time I've used it. If you're lucky you can get a few hours out of the game with it on (at least when modding as much as STEP or Revisited is concerned). Some, however have very few issues with it. Those are the lucky ones.

Just a heads up, Detailed Rugs and Better Dynamic Snow have been updated in addition to the Serious HD already mentioned.  Also, Langleys Wood Metal and Stone textures had a small update addon to the main mod.  By the way, thanks for all of the lengthy and detailed work you do for your guide Neovalen, it's nice to have such a detailed guide on getting all of these mods to work together as smoothly as possible.

I was just discussing SkyTEST and stability concerns with a friend, and he recommended I use the Behavior-only file (in optional files). I wasn't even aware that this option existed, but I would gladly sacrifice the additional features from the main mod to retain the improved animal behaviors along with much greater stability. It might be something to consider for those experiencing issues with SkyTEST.

I'll play with it more in depth tonight. For my part I had no stability issue but will try a longer session and see what happens.

Just did a look at the new Serius HD Retexture Skyrim and there's a lot of new stuff here, not covered by SRO - looks like he's added quite a bit. Worth a look for sure.

Vurt also updated SFO today with a new Summer Edition, looks like he's added a lot of new stuff there as well. Wondering what your take is on going with 1.77 vs 1.76b?

Just confirmed, SkyTest there, CTDs frequently. Removed SkyTest, and no CTDs. Weird, I was playing my last 30h chat with SkyTest (version 1.27E).

I am using the Low Res version, but I believe the esps are identical (right?).

edit.: maybe the old Alternate Start compatibility patch don't work properly anymore? Or incompatibility with any mods I use and you don't... well, I guess I will wait till you get to AS and see if the patch changes, then if so, Ill test it again.

I have no plans to use summer edition. I prefer a more vanilla like look.

Will test more tonight with the new optionals and adjust accordingly. Stability > Content.

My thoughts as well, looking at the screens it's too...I dunno, happy/fantastical/doesn't fit Skyrim for me. Definitely check out the updated Serious HD Retexture Skyrim. Doing some side by sides and I'm digging some of his new work.
