Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

Bug: The file Smart Souls.ini is not created when launched through Mod Organizer, a now standardized management tool.

Cause: SKSE plugins seemingly lack the ability to create files within the SKSE/ folder when launched within the virtualized folder structure. The exact reasoning is unknown to me.

Proposed Solution: Create the file by hand

  • While in Mod Organizer, right-click the Smart Souls mod on the left-hand side
  • Select the menu option Open in explorer
  • Within the new window, navigate into the SKSE\Plugins folder
  • Right-click within the folder and select the menu option New > Text Document
  • Name the file Smart Souls.ini (make sure you are showing File Extensions - click here to see how)
  • Open the new file and copy the below contents, pasting them into the file

    [General]
    ForceSoulSoulGemSizeMatch=1
    LimitBlackGemsToBlackSouls=1
    [Notifications]
    ShowCapturedSoulQuality=1
    ShowEscapedSoulQuality=1
  • Save and close the file

Hey Neovalen.

Animated Clutter was updated to 1.8 (featuring a modular installer) and WEBS Extended now offers a compatibility patch for Animated Clutter 1.8.

Install instructions:

Install Webs Extended main file.

Install Animated Clutter.

Install Patch.

This would require some moving of the mods in your install order.

Are you still going to use onetweak in the guide Neo. I was just wondering the best way to get rid of my borders in windows mode.

Wasn't planning on it as i play full screen. I believe enb has borderless full screen capability too.

Ok thanks for the reply.

What about SMME? it is worth it?

I believe he us getting this effect through the SKSE 1.7 alpha build.

This. SSME is redundant with SKSE alpha.

Hi torminater,

Actually there is no need to move anything in SR-LE's mod order. The only common file that AC and WE have is a mesh that it is included in the patch. Therefore, if you have AC->WE->Patch (as it is in SR-LE), you are basically having the same result as  per your mod order indicated above.

I perfer full screen also. I changed to windows only because the guide says window mode. I'm still having crashing problems I'm trying to figure out. I just dont understand my crashing. I'm by far no expert but there was once a time where I had alot of mods activated in MO (the pre 1.0.0 days) and really had no idea what I was doing and figured out my install orders on my own and so on w min crashes. Now I cant even make it to riverton with just the portion of the guide installed up to User interface. One of the major changes I have made is I bought the Legendary edition off of Steam but dont see why that would matter. So now I have completly deleated My MO folder off of my comp and am starting over. I know its not the guides fault its something w my system. Well I guess my problem is for anouther post and shouldnt be clutering up this post. I would love some help tho maybe there is something I'm just looking over. My main question is if I want to go to full screen without relaunching MO I suold be able to go to skyrim prefs ini and change bfullscreen from 0 to 1 and leave isize H= 1080 and isize W = 1920. Just wanted to make sure this was right

I'm crashing fairly often on fast travel. I didn't notice it at first because ... well ... I rarely fast-travel, lol. But once I did and crashed, I tried it and it happens to me a lot of times.

I deviated from this install on the game in question only in that I did NOT install OBIS, Skyrim Immersive Creatures or Distance Overhaul (fpswhoah), added two houses, and I use a few different textures from you (including isoku's Moon Glow which has an ESP, but ... still just a texture).

I use the memory patch and the utility that lets you track memory usage, and it's not exceeding my allotted memory so I'm a bit puzzled as to whether maybe this is a vanilla Skyrim issue. Please, please don't take this as criticism of your awesome guide. I know Skyrim is a finicky beast. :)
