Hey Neo' date=' at one point you should write up the ingame configuration guide (eg MCM etc).  There are a few choices that i'd be interested to hear your opinion on.[/quote']

Attempting to get there this week.

I don;t know if it's possible in MCM - but if there is a way to run a single batch file to set all the MCM settings for a new game that would be great.  I usually wait until I enter Helgen Keep to do this and it takes quite a while to go through them all.

Not directly possible but if can figure out how the values are stored then wouldn't be hard. This is on a per mod basis tho.

Random question regarding DDSOPT. I noticed that some normals I did, mainly for HD Trees, Realistic Mushrooms and AV didn't change at all from their original versions. Upon inspection, those files are marked as read-only in the file system.

Before optimizing files or creating half-size normals, should a texture folder be made to be NOT read-only?

Just wondering if that's why I saw no change in normals. Not imperative, been running this setup for 3 months now but figured every bit I can squeeze out in performance I will.

Do you follow the guide and copy them out to a new folder before DDSOpting them? Since DDSOpt puts stuff in a new fodler I would not think that being read only would matter. But that's just my intuition

Yep. Most of my stuff does fine. I just happened to notice no change at all on Trees HD Normals which is one of the suggested ones. Are your normals for that all around 1,633? I think those are the defaults. On the train and can't check.

@Neovalen, in your guide it says:

ATI Users: In Skyrim.ini, change "iMaxAnisotropy=0" to "iMaxAnisotropy=1"

That would be SkyrimPrefs.ini, right?

Prefs.INI and it should be going from =16 to =0 since ENB doing it. Fixed.

Is there a trick for Face to face conversation? I installed it but it's not even visible in the MCM menu. I don't have any problem with the dozen other MCM plugin I have.

Save and reload. I even added a note to the known issues. :)

Thanks, it worked. Strange bug actually...

What should it be for Nvidia?  My SkyrimPrefs.ini shows it as iMaxAnisotropy=1.

Hello again,

As I am revising my entire installation based on SR; for FNIS do I have to install also the spells add-on or just the main 3.5 behavior file?

Thank you!

Face to face was updated today. Maybe he fixed the mod start bug - looks like it:

"Version 2.3.2[fix]Can't see this mod in MCM for first time."

https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/30533

Also if anyone uses Kryptopyr's Better Stealth AI for Followers that was updated to carry forward recent USKP changes.

https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16531

Also a new verions (1.6) of XPMS

XP32 Maximum Skeleton

https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/26800

Looks like it may have issues!

EDIT - Yep XPMS 1.6 has issues!

How much of a difference memory-wise will using the Lite Skyrim HD packs get me? I'm getting CTD around Whiterun and although my VRAM is showing 1650mb usage, in Task Manager Skyrim is eating 3.1GB...which will CTD the game, right?

Just finished the most recent updates (as of 5/7/13), game is running great! I noticed my character sheathes his 1H sword behind his back yet still has a sheath on his hip. He has got a shield on his back too. Is this supposed to be like this or did I mess up some animations installs? As always, thanks for the help and great work!
