Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

Just created the compability patch between book covers skyrim and even better quest objectives. There is no conflict though, for me, in book covers skyrim.esp\book\000D1955.

Am I doing something wrong or do you mean another node?

Edit: Note is missing about moving BCS-EBQO Patch.esp to book covers skyrim

Also, SUM.esp is not in the BOSS masterlist.

Thanks for fact checking! Thats because I was too sleepy and the actual incompatibility for D1955 is The Choice Is Yours.

SUM is fine since we want it loaded last anyway. and will add the note.

Edit: Fixed!

@Neovalen is D1955 the only incompatibility that needs fixing for Book Covers Skyrim in a separate patch, or can we leave the other conflicts as is for now? I'm planning on getting in game sometime this evening. Been too long since I actually played now LOL.

Tales of Lycanthropy has been replaced (as in the authors have replaced a new mod to replace it) with Moonlight Tales - Werewolf and Werebear Overhaul. As name suggests, it also includes playable werebears, among many other things. :) Where ToL was really nice, this looks amazing.

I just hope there will be a lore-friendly option to exclude werebears and keep it at ToL level :)

Werebears are actually very lorefriendly! Included in Dragonborn, and it was a surprise to most people they were NOT included in vanilla-Skyrim considering in Elder Scrolls lore they're the most abundant breed of lycanthrope in Skyrim. :)

I guess I better start downloading it now then? Just as well I have yet to actually start my latest test playthrough-- though at the rate this is going it feels like I'm never going to have a load order I can settle down with for a serious game I won't have to keep repatching for. Eh, don't mind me-- I'm just extremely frustrated with SUM at the moment. It keeps hanging on patching Lootification or Dual Sheath Redux, for no good reason.

I have been a professional Oblivion/Skyrim Mod Forum lurker for over seven years now and I have to say that Skyrim Revisited is the GREATEST install guide I have ever seen!  Thank you very much Neovalen!    The care and professionalism you bring to the mod community is invaluable.  The entire STEP project is amazing as well.  So I thank everyone on this forum.

One question.  After I installed Skyrim revisited my game started up beautifully and ran like butter.  Have never seen anything like it.  Had to turn down some of the texture packs and graphic setting through NVIDIA inspector (due to 3.1GB CTD - discussed on another thread in the STEP forum) but that really does not bother me because I prefer game stability to awesome graphics.  Played for three hours straight with no CTD after I turned off some texture packs.  A miracle!  Now for my question.

I Wanted to get your opinion on installing some of my favorite mods that are not included in Skyrim Revisited so I could get some STEP team inputs.  Do you think the following mods would conflict with SR????

1.  Willie Sea's Leveler's Tower

2.  Fantasy Music Overhaul

3.  Immersive Patrols by Scrabbulor

4.  Interesting NPCS

5.  Immersive armors and weapons

6.  Cirwiden - Smart Healer

7.  Ultimate Follower Overhaul (something tells me this may have issues with Cirwiden and Interesting NPCs but I'm not sure)

Any input you could give me would be greatly appreciate.  Once again thank you Neovalen for an amazing guide!

Cheers

Welcome to the active forums go2kant!

In general anything that adds more spawns and alters the follower system is prone to issues.

This is mainly due to the very extensive script system required they depend on. Also adding more spawns in general makes sure you use more memory, which as you have found out can lead to memory issues.

Immersive armors and weapons etc. should not provide any issues, other then you need to remake the bashed patch in order to properly get the leveled lists working.

Anything adding new buildings etc should not really conflict with anything. Stuff that changes an already existing building will most likely cause some issues if not done properly.

Alright, I started getting the double esp trouble now too... sent a bug report to Leviathan to see if he can find anything.

Leviathan to release a hot fix.

BCS has patches for Even Better Quest Objectives and The Choice Is Yours.

I uploaded a replacement esp that merges USKP/UHFP with the mod.
