Question

I was not sure if there was an option in MO2 to undo all the "Ignore Update" options I ticked. so I searched a way to do it manually. I found the information for "Ignore Update" is found in your MO2's "mods" folder. Within that folder every mods folder has a meta.ini... I quickly found there was too many mods and too many meta files to click manually. so I set out to find a lazier way to do this and found a way with "Notepad++".
Prerequisites:
The "Ignore Update" option from MO2 is held in a "meta.ini" file located in each mod folder:
Now Open the "meta.ini" file using Notepad++:
You can see here the variable "ignoredVersion=" is what MO2 looks at to ignore specific versions. (yours may have a version number, that's okay!)
Instead of correcting all 200+ mods you have lets use our handy dandy Notepad++
Following these steps:
1 - click "search"
2 - click "Find in Files"
You will then be prompted by a new window.
Follow these steps:
1 - type the following in the "Find what" field
2 - type the following in the "Replace with" field
3 - type the following in the "Filters" field
4 - Copy and Paste the location of your "mods" folder you located before
5 - Make sure "Match case" is checked
6 - Make sure "In all sub-folders" is checked
7 - In the "Search Mode" box make sure "Regular expression" is selected
8 - Click the "Replace in Files" button to start the undo proccess
The end result in Notepad++ should look something like this:
Restart or refresh your MO2 instance and you should now see all the mods which may or may not need an update
And your done.
You could probably use this to reset all kinds of bulk meta data until MO2 has a way to reset meta data in the future.
