Question

I use MO with Skyrim. MO handles a lot of mods for me. Now my C: drive is running out of space darn it. My F: drive is huge. Can I move Skyrim and MO to F: drive by a simple copy and paste or do I have to lose all my mods and reinstall everything?

Like the others discussed you can remove the downloaded mods once installed by right clicking in the "Downloads" tab in MO and select the appropriate action.

Thanks to all of you for your input. Everything is good now thanks to you good people.

Google, how to move Steam installation. There are special steps to follow.

That worked great. Now MO. Hopefully just a cut and paste.

You can also use the 'Settings' inside MO to assign another drive to be used for your 'downloads' and 'mods', that way MO can go anywhere you like and you can use a big slow HDD for your downloads and another larger drive for your mods if C: is getting full.

I generally prefer to keep it locally in case it vanishes into thin air one day and to reduce the bandwidth I use on Nexus. I think Nexus is better off financially today than when I first joined, but I still try to be a bit conservative about spending their money for bandwidth. I could use Nexus' dedicated servers for a bit faster downloads (in theory), but I prefer to use the cheaper CDN for this reason.

Hey, you are welcome! I'm new here too despite my post count, I modded Skyrim for the first time successfully thanks to these guys above and everyone else involved with STEP ;).

I learned a lot and had a good time while doing it, and now I am enjoying Skyrim like never before...

Have a nice day sir (or Mrs ^^)!
