TheGamingGeneral Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 So for example in Skyrim HD detailed instructions want you to hide a bunch files but why? If they are going to be replaced why not just let them be replaced by the left panel order?
0 TechAngel85 Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 If files are hidden, it's because they were winning conflicts which we didn't want them to win. Simple as that.

0 TechAngel85 Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Higher or lower priority. Aka, it's position in the left pane.
0 Greg Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 If two or more mods provides the same asset (say a mesh or a texture), the game uses the asset from the mod with the highest priority number. One possible solution is move the mod lower down the left pane, but then you may run into issues with the game using snow textures from Skyrim HD instead of from HQ Snow Texture so the easiest solution is try to put Skyrim HD in an optimal position in the left pane and then hide the few remaining assets we don't want to use.

0 Greg Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 If you are installing STEP 2.2.9.2, install the mods in exactly the order listed in the guide to obtain optimal placement for each mod.

0 GrantSP Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 When you examine Skyrim HD in MO via the 'Information -- Conflicts' you will see in the bottom pane all the mods that are "winning" in the conflict. If you want to ensure Skyrim HD wins, move it to a position with a higher priority number. This applies to any mod and is explained in the MO guide.
