NordPride_WorldWide Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 As the title suggests, when I'm traversing over rocks, if I look down at them while moving the textures seem to warp and flow. Is this normal? I'm guessing not. What would be causing this?
0 NordPride_WorldWide Posted May 31, 2016 Author Posted May 31, 2016 This issue is very simple... it occurs when you have a parallax texture, but not a parallax enabled mesh. A similar, but different, issue occurs when you have a parallax mesh, but not a parallax texture :P Make sure there is nothing overwriting vivid landscape's meshes, or if there is, that it is also parallax enabled. Most mesh mods have a "vivid landscapes patch" which is just a parallax-enabled copy of the meshes. This is very easy to check in MO. Go to the conflicts tab of vivid landscapes, and look at the bottom panel where it shows what's overwriting it. The only things that should be are things like the SMIM and ELFX patches, the parallax enabled version of moss rocks, that sort of thing. It's important to know what order your mods are installing in and whether they have conflicts. Just because you can change it at a moment's notice in MO doesn't mean you should ignore it :Pso, for vivid landscapes all in one loose files 2048, in the overwrite section, the mods that overwrite vivid landscapes are: vivid landscapes - tundra ground from skyrim HD 2kDynDOLOD texgenamidianborn book of silence - creatureswiseman303's trap fixesvivid landscapes all in one SMIM farmhouse stuffvivid landscapes ELFX compatibility patch thats all. and from the way the guide says to install these things, it seems like thats how it should be. please correct me if im mistaken.
0 NordPride_WorldWide Posted June 7, 2016 Author Posted June 7, 2016 so without an answer to the last question, I've continued trying to find an answer. i reverted to the vanilla profile the guide has you set up in the very beginning, and with nothing but a vanilla game there is no morphing problem. when i install vivid landscapes loose files 2048, and the files i need to run ENB and the parallax fix, the rocks start morphing around again. there is nothing overwriting the loose files folder whatsoever. WTF is going on with my game?
0 hishutup Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Its because you have parallax enabled on ridiculously stretched textures.https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/74324/?Grab the shd rocks optional and test with the parallax version installed

0 NordPride_WorldWide Posted June 8, 2016 Author Posted June 8, 2016 (edited) So I noticed this just now, in my ENB menu in game, the fixparallaxterrain doesn't have an enable feature, plus the window is red, which I don't remember. Is this normal?? Edited June 9, 2016 by NordPride_WorldWide
0 NordPride_WorldWide Posted June 8, 2016 Author Posted June 8, 2016 So then I just don't get it. I have the same copy of vivid landscapes as you, why is mine stretched and morphs around? Sorry, I feel like I'm being a pain in the Ass at this point...

0 NordPride_WorldWide Posted June 8, 2016 Author Posted June 8, 2016 It's everywhere in game. All rock formations have stretched textures on them and shift around when I move. It's only rock textures.
0 Astakos Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Have you try to revert to vanilla inis if they are changed?
0 NordPride_WorldWide Posted June 8, 2016 Author Posted June 8, 2016 Have you try to revert to vanilla inis if they are changed?yes, it still happens using the vanilla profile with the vanilla ini's as soon as i insert vivid landscapes
0 Nozzer66 Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 And you've used fresh downloads of vivid landscapes, not just the same one every time?
0 NordPride_WorldWide Posted June 9, 2016 Author Posted June 9, 2016 Yes, fresh downloads of the file. I even just re-downloaded it immediately before posting this, started a new game and took pictures, but for whatever reason the file size I'm allowed to upload here keeps shrinking and shrinking.
0 NordPride_WorldWide Posted June 9, 2016 Author Posted June 9, 2016 So I noticed that toggling that "Enhanced textures detail (UV-tweaks)" mod on and off doesn't have a single effect on my game. Absolutely nothing changes. Could there be something wrong with my ENB itself? Is parallax just not enabling properly or something? I'm clueless on this subject...
0 NordPride_WorldWide Posted June 9, 2016 Author Posted June 9, 2016 (edited) OKAY, so this happens on a lot of the rocks too. its like the textures aren't sitting in their proper places. Edited June 9, 2016 by NordPride_WorldWide
