Combat performance issues
Taverius replied to Taverius's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
VRAM. I have 16G physical. I'm already running Medium DynDOLOD to achieve 45-ish fps - High brings my 780 to its knees - but its ... not smooth, and especially so in outdoors combat. ENB reserved is already at 256, I'm told not to go higher on Win10. Everything is as recommended by Neo, except for the statues I took the 2k option where the 4k was suggested. I guess I can try swapping out SFO for Enhanced Landscapes, or use the 1.87a SFO. -

I was going to suggest that one for the base SRLE actually - its less of a mod and more of a needed patch imo. -

Neo, I was trying to figure out why I had so many long hiccups in combat. Figured it out eventually - ENB's default 'Free VRAM' conflicts with SkyUI's "Favorites Preset 4" as they're both on F4 by default. So you switch to preset 4, enb frees ram and everything hangs while that's going on. Personally I've moved it to F11, but I don't know if you should suggest a key - rather you can link a list of keycodes and let people choose their own. Also, the LOOT Meta update for Realistic Water Two still adds an 'After' list for WATER Plants.esp ... -
Yeah it looks for exact file names, so that's a a bit annoying - I like to merge old mods which aren't actively developed into one 7z BAIN package and having to have a second version on disk for SMC used to annoy me. Its a good "mod" though, even with those minor annoyances. There's a few things in there I'm not a huge fan of, but overall its a very well done selection of texture & models. Well, saying that I'm the kind of guy that finds "Purist" Immersive Creatures grating and immersion-breaking, so my standards might be different from others.

Mise because we clean the ESMs and it looks by CRC?

Hey, that was from my bugreport! ... is that a good thing? Don't hurt meh :<

How exactly do we use Crash Fixes?
Taverius replied to uncleseano's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Hum. CrashFixes never, ever shows an error message for me. Any ideas? It is working - I do get logs with 12b4. -
Something wrong with my ice
Taverius replied to Taverius's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Yeah, it is. So its not an installation error? I'll take a look then, though wow, those textures are *atrocious* Its weird though, I though SMIM fixed them, guess brumbek must have forgot anise's? -
That's ice, right? Because I can't quite tell, but it sure looks weird.

... and I checked it - nothing wrong with my CR patch, the one I added is loading before it, and nothing else is messing around there, so no idea why it did anything - it should not. But it did. *shrug* I blame Sheogorath. -

That's weird then - I have the CR installed but still need the patch. -
SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn
Taverius replied to Darth_mathias's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
That sounds good - after a 2-year break coming from SkyRe, I find RotE fun and challenging but grating in how out there it is. Its a good mod and I'm sure many people like its style more, but I tested it and I'm not a fan of the feel - i get flashbacks from my dark days playing MMOs. -

So, I was trying to figure out why I couldn't revive knocked-out followers, then I found a patch by Neovalen that disables the EFF talk menu for knocked-out followers ... and now I'm wondering why that's not in the guide? :D -
My FPS is pretty good (45-50 outside whiterun) but as soon as I enter combat it all goes juddery, and often when I load a favorites preset with F1-F4 everything will hang for a second. Any idea what I can do to fix that? Also, SPM tells me I'm riding just at the edge of the 3G my 780 has - ~3000mb outdoors, ~2700mb indoors - what would be the first texture mod to drop in resolution to scale that back a little?
-
Basically with the settings given in the guide, whenever you search for something with a 'y' or 'u' in it the wheelmenu comes up and you have to tab out of it. Is there any way to get wheelmenu to stop coming up while a UI panel is up, or should I just move them out of the way?

MO2 can still change where you download & store mods, but windows applications are supposed to store user settings in AppData. Resetting your windows install and the migrate user data functions are predicated on the fact that application files and settings are separate so that you only need to keep AppData when moving your stuff around. Though I'm not sure how it plays with multiple MO installs? I'm waiting for MO2 to leave beta before I mod FO4, so I've only been keeping an eye on it.
-
That's the main reason to keep it, so good to know there's a patch :D Yap, no worries. Good to know. Thought as much but its good to check, thanks!
-
Yap, that's no problem. I just like Imperiouseseseseses racials much more than disparity's, and since I'd play class-less anyway I'm not giving up much. Thanks! P.S. Adding Non-Essential Children, possible? More manual conflict resolution? I'm aware of the Even Better Quest Objectives & RS Children patches for that.
-
Working on adding a (slightly modified) SLRE: Extended to my game - once the Thunderchild bug is fixed - is it possible to add Imperious (merging the race changes) or is there some issue?
-
That's too bad. I wonder how hard would it be to make a DB-CoinPiles patch for Real Golden Septims ...
-
Hey, wanted to make a suggestion (I hope this is the right place) This is an antique coin - and one made with rare, extremely high quality manufacturing: This is a modern coin: Current STEP Septim retex: Its far too detailed for something made with empire tech, and looks brand spanking new. Suggestion: EcthelionOtW Real Golden Septims Its not quite perfect, but it looks like real gold instead of modern numismatic brass, its weathered and doesn't look like it was made with a 300000 psi metal press.
