I will try the waiting sequence see if this fixes it. Yes I have done a full stress run with this character and I must have passed the riverwood area at least three times and another 4-5 around whiterun. Edit: Nope, waiting 31 days indoors, doesn't help resolve the problem.

OK this deal with Skyrim crashing is getting really annoying. Using SSME /w stable ugrids (5) to load and fully modded game with 1k textures and based on the SR/SR:LE guide. I crash when crossing cells (I use the tb command to tell) near Riverwood and Whiterun. I've been playing the game until level 16 with no crashes so far and now they start again. I use Somber ENB too. I attached my mod list and my load order. I just don't get it any more. No creature spawn mods and yet it crashes at cell borders. Any hints by an expert?

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
George79 replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Well I really enjoy Somber (the normal version) although it's not set up for CoT or ELFX. Also performance-wise it's way better for me, maybe because I don't have SLI who knows? About the override... I know how to create the copy new override option to a new file, but which column do I select for it? This copies the entire contents of the column you select as far as I know. -

I also use your new guide to some extent. I've added several new mods myself and implemented the new memory patch and it works like a charm. Of course I optimized all textures (excluding armor/weapon and some other trivial ones) to 1024 and 512 normals and with Somber ENB (I didn't really like Unreal Cinema one) I manage to get 50+ fps outdoors but 45+ indoors. That's weird :P The only thing I have difficulty understanding is the conflict resolution fixes you mention. How do I create the new SR conflict resolution.esp you mention? Can I simply drag the entries in the respective conflicting mods? -
SSME did the trick for me along with some of the stability guide's ini tweaks. I've now over 200 esps loaded (not many scripts though) ENB too, and one hour no CTDs in areas I had 100% of random CTD!

Which ENB are you using and why?
George79 replied to DoYouEvenModBro's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Nice, maybe I will try your ENB sometime! Here's something weird I discovered with the new installation of mods I did /w Somber ENB. The game looks amazingly well and runs pretty fast with all textures at 1k. However when I enter the Helgen dungeon in the intro, everything goes smooth and well until I descend to the torture chamber. There the lights just seem to go out to almost complete darkness and they return to normal as soon as I go back up a level. I'm pretty sure it's something with the ENB as I disabled ELFX (note I don't use the interior enhancer) and the same thing happened. I also use the Blackout mod too as suggested in Somber page, and my load order is quite similar to Garfink's. Any ideas? -
Skyrim Revisted vs Legendary Edition

Nice mod list. Tell me, what .ini settings do you use for those mods to work together? Will the default - save the modifications for ENB - settings work? Or is it required to tamper with the papyrus settings and/or other memory settings? -

I was using RealVision (performance) latest version but I wasn't satisfied with the overall lighting so I shifted to Somber ENB which - after much tweaking - managed to get over 45 fps. I was getting CTDs so I completely removed everything and will try setting up again to post some pictures. I used ELFX/CoT for lighting (even though Somber doesn't support CoT, it worked nice I guess) and 2.46 ENB. I tweaked the newest features for it from other presets except the very new procedural sun which made the sun REALLY bright . As you can see in one pic VRAM was at 2,3GB and RAM under 1GB. I've no clue why I got CTDs but SiC is probably the culprit along with Wet & Cold. I will set it up again. :P Some pics -
Hello guys! I've recently re-installed Skyrim: LE, with SR, complete and no crashes so far. However, I found out some weird graphics with sunrays from windows inside buildings. What I mean is this:    Smudgy isn't it? Maybe someone dealt with this before? Neovalen can you help? Also other sunrays appear normally: Weird...

State of Skyrim Revisited Updates
George79 replied to phazer11's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
It is?? Besides the good beatings I was getting from enemies, I didn't notice anything else. I had it load in the end of the load order too without running BOSS to test it. -
Well the guide doesn't specify which files the DDSOpt will change (yes I did the checks in the Ignore menu); Only to set the uncompressed/compressed resolution, which I set to 1k in both instances. The thing is that DDSopt changes .dds files and some of those were really tiny and it made them 1k. It doesn't matter, this was the first time I tried the optimization. I enjoyed Skyrim on the normal BSA textures of all mods and it seemed fine to me. No need to do that. And yes all the other mods are at 1k or less if available for smaller textures like small items etc.

Here's my suggestions: Deadly Dragons Armory https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16474/? This one completely changes the way dragon weapons/armor are made and adds a few more sets of really cool armor/weapons. You require more ingredients than just the plain bones/scales which of course you get from dragons. More Dynamic Injuries The file has been removed from the Nexus but it can be found here: https://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/topic/5072-relz-more-dynamic-injuries/ This makes combats a lot more lethal and makes you think of it twice before entering one, only for hardcore immersion fans. Real Shelter https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31629//? Fixes the rain to stop when you are actually under some sort of roof. It Rained On https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33886//? Makes puddles appear when it rains up to a level and then disappear slowly when it stops. Roof Avalanches https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/34105//? Makes snow gather on roofs etc. and slowly fall down when it gets "heavy". Bellyache's New Dragon Species https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20889//? Why stick to only the standard dragons? I plan on using them with SR but I don't know if any form of patches/corrections are required with TESVEdit... if any could give some insight while on the subject, I'd be glad. -
So, I think I found the cause of my CTDs. Seems that I had no idea how DDSOpt works and when I optimized the textures (supposedly), I optimized ALL the textures to 1k. Meaning, even those tiny tiny textures that were originally 96x96 were 1024x1024 after the "optimization". I removed the whole folder, bought the new Legendary Edition, installed and working out the installation of SR again. This time I didn't mess with DDSOpt and I won't use the HRDLC at all. I had modded Skyrim in the past without any issues without the HRDLC and will give feedback as soon as I'm done.

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Actually I've deleted my whole installation and re-installing SR now. I'm at the part after the UI mods. As for the map warning, I downloaded SkyUI 3.4 to be done with it. Or should I use the latest 4.1? -
Now that I studied this error more, I think the error comes from the WB program itself not the actual bashed patch. Edit: It was as I thought, WB v303 crashed on me; tried v304 (experimental) and created the bashed patch normally.
-
OK the error message for Wrye Bash while making the bashed patch is: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information." It appears a few seconds after the bashed patch operation begins while processing the dawnguard.esm file. Of course WB crashes right after I close the error window. Any ideas?
-
hmm I don't know what to do about that error with WB creating the patch... I will come back with more info.

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
George79 replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
In my case I had a warning message appear when I opened the in-game map saying that a different version of a map file was present. Probably the case with coloured map icons (?) Also with Dual Sheath Redux, I had the issue - since the beginning of the game - of EVERY NPC having a staff on their back regardless if they actually had a staff on them. I disabled the option in the MCM menu of showing Staffs on back on NPCs/PC and it was gone. Don't know if that's normal though. :/ -
Will do mate thanks! MO is the best tool ever for modding for me so far. One other thing, it says in the SR guide to make a bashed patch with WB, but in my case WB returned an error creating it (of course everything was followed to the letter). Is it really that important ?
-
OK will try it when I get home. I doubt it will solve anything though, I've the patience to really start over the whole SR guide ;)
-
OK you lost me. How do I "verify the integrity of game cache"? Is it somewhere on the hard drive? like a temp folder? I've no qualms deleting the whole game without backup, as I haven't progressed at all what with all these crashes :P Finally, if you look at the SR guide, there are mods that are installed in the beginning which require other mods to work properly and those mods are installed much later on. Skyrim won't actually work before ALL of SR is installed.
-
Not sure if I should post this here, but when I tried to create the Bashed Patch with Wrye Bash at the latest steps of SR's guide, the process returned an error and I couldn't finish the creation. Any ideas? *Can't give the error message at the moment, will do so later when I get home.
-
Game started CTDing again with no apparent reason. I will use DDSopt to reduce all mods' texture files to 1k or less...
-
Yeap just tried it again in vanilla, and the Nord has female voice when power attacking etc...Â
-
Well I did as you suggested, found the forms and found that they were both correct without any conflicts whatsoever. If they were the correct ones, I'm stuck!Â
