SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn
Tempest replied to Darth_mathias's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
The merge guide that was here is kaput as of today (as far as I know) -
Quick question about merging with the new standalone: how are you supposed to merge esps that have uskp as a master? I keep getting a "failed to initialize" error when I start up the standalone. False alarm: downloaded the replacement esps but forgot to put them in ><

Thanks!

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. Should I just nuke my MO folder and then reinstall Skyrim? or is there some better way to do this?
-
After not playing for Skyrim for about a month and a half, I was wondering what was the best way of updating my install. Should I just download updates and re-install the outdated mods or should I nuke my install and start over? I should add: I use SRLE as a base and have a bunch of stuff on top of that.
-
Yep, tried it before posting the thread and again when you recommended it with no luck.
-
Yeah, running with an ENB seems ok. It's running without that is the issue.
-
Hmm I've been running without the esp for all my attempts thus far. Sadly, even with a new game, I still crash when I try to exit the LAL prison cell thingy. In any case, I've swapped ENBs as well. When I started out trying to figure it out, it was because VandB was suffering from a lot of stuttering despite having dropped a lot of settings. I've since switched to NLA and I'm getting much better performance, nearly no stuttering and all this without having to turn anything down. So even if we are unable to figure this no enb situation out, I'm running NLA now. Thanks for all your help thus far TechAngel85.

This is what it looks like with the Disable ENB setting: https://i.imgur.com/TVz9F9m.jpg

I yelled "FROM DOWNTOWN" as I tried the long shot and it still didn't work :/
-
Nope, no missing masters. The only lighting and weather stuff I have installed is the stuff that is on the SRLE list.
-
I've tried disabling both the Terrain Parallax fix for Vivid Landscapes and the terrainparallax setting in enbseries as I've mentioned earlier with no luck :/ Also, I'm having this problem regardless of whether I use the 3 enb files for enboost or not.
-
Is there anything in SRLE that requires ENB? That's what I used as a base.
-
Verifying the cache evidently replaced 2 files. Despite that, still nada :|
-
I'm not entirely sure what verify cache does? In this situation, will it remove any leftovers and leave everything else unchanged? What about things I've installed in my Skyrim folder eg ENB Manager etc. Will I need to redo any kajiggering/configuration after I verify?
-
I'm using MO and ENB Manager so as far as I can tell, there are no leftovers. The preset does come with an esp but that is meant to something for tint. I tried changing the parallaxfix setting to false because that is supposed to work for ENBs that have their own weather (nla if I recall) but that didn't help either. I'm not trying to continue a save, I'm doing coc from the main menu which should be equivalent to a new game right?
-
Tried that, no luck.

So here's the situation: up until yesterday, I was using VandB ENB and having a lot of stuttering. While looking for stutter fixes, I thought what the hell, I'll see what I can pull of using Imaginator and ICBINE3. Since I use ENB Manager, I went and switched from my VandB setting and changed to No ENB (and hit activate). Then, I started the game and attempted to coc whiterun. CTD 20 seconds in to the load. I tried again but instead did coc whiterundragonsreach. This time, the game loaded fine but then it immediately crashed if I tried to go outdoors. I then tried making a new ENB manager setting that would include only enbhost, d3d9 and enblocal (the one I'd customized) for the sake of ENBoost (as detailed in the step guide). Same problem; game crashed when I try to go outdoors. I then tried making a new ENB manager setting that would include only enbhost, d3d9 and enblocal (this time fresh enblocal from the enbseries download with edits from the guide) for the sake of ENBoost. Same problem; game crashed when I try to go outdoors. Finally, I reactivated VandB and I can go outdoors a-ok. What the hell? This makes me think that it is either something in my inis that is specific to enb or something in my load order. I have searched high and low for a solution with zero luck so far. Can someone take a look and try to spot the offender please? You can have my firstborn instead of Sheson. Load order - https://pastebin.com/nH7BCHrA Modlist - https://pastebin.com/DjE6FJzb Seems to be upside down.... Hmm, the only thing I did differently to what you posted Jawz, was I added the mindflux patches through MO. Seems to be working though!

Hey guys, I've been meaning to try some different ENBs and wanted to clarify somethings. First, I'm thinking about trying out VandB ENB and NLA. From reading the SRLE guide and some other discussions about ENBs, this is the procedure that I think is correct. Taking VandB as the example, In ENB manager, I'll need to add d3d9 and enbhost from the 262 enb binary. Create a new config and then add enbseries (folder), enbseries.ini and enblocal.ini from the, now extracted, VandB zip file. Can I use the personalized enblocal that was made while setting up SRLE? In MO, disable Vividian - Weather and Lighting Enhancement and Vividian ENB Merge. Install the 2 mindflux patches in MO, preferably right after the Vividian files. Install the COT Weather Patch (or can I leave Vividian ENB - Extended Weathers activated?)Did I miss anything? Should I leave Enhanced Lighting for ENB enabled?

SRLE, REGS and Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul
Tempest replied to Pretendeavor's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Barthanes, did you install the REGS custom patch? -
For what it's worth, I was able to install SRLE+REGS+PERMA with few issues and ended at about 230 esps. This is just doing the merges that are recommended in the respective guides, no creative merging of my own. The process was pretty straight-forward. Just take your time with it and follow the guides.

I'd remember finding EBD and thinking that it only did textures and body types but I guess it does faces as well. How well does varying everyone's body type play with UNP vanilla armor replacers and stuff?
-
Forgot I'd posted this. Thanks for the suggestion! I'll go check em out.

So this recent SRLE install I did was actually my first time coming back to Skyrim since Bethesda put Dawnguard out and I'd forgotten the fact that everybody looks and sounds the same. I went through 3 followers, in a row, that all sounded the same. Is there any remedy for this? I realize that there really isn't much that can be done for voice acting other than using something like Interesting NPCs or a custom voiced follower but how about a large scale face overhaul? I've checked out a few mods that replace followers like Bijin Warmaidens and while that one isn't bad, I really don't like the anime waifu aesthetic that the vast majority of mods go for. At least with Bijin, the nords look nordic. Still, a lot of these mods replace the same people. This also does nothing for the mans. It's kinda dumb that there are 2 nearly identical dudes in Riverwood with atleast one copy in Whiterun (that I can think of). So yeah, does anyone know of any mods that replace a lot of the less popular, non-follower npcs?
