  1. The title speaks for itself. I did a stupid edit and removed a master from DyndoLOD.esp in TES5Edit as I was too lazy to generate LOD all over again after removing what seemed to be a mod that wouldn't have anything to do with LOD. So it seemed odd to me that DyndoLOD.esp had it as a master, so I took a chance and lazily removed it with TES5Edit. My game then crashed upon 1-2 minutes of playing. I checked MemoryBlocksLog and it sure wasn't exceeding the limit. I disabled DyndoLOD.esp and the game then seemed to be crash-free, and all the generated LOD was in place. So that leads me into thinking, if I don't need DyndoLOD for LOD to show up, what do I need it for? Are there any major disadvantages of keeping it disabled? Sorry if this has been mentioned before. I did some googling and couldn't find a clear answer, then again it's pretty late over here so I might have just been too sleepy to focus :D
  2. Nice! Thanks a lot. I turned it off and it seems fine now. I should probably remove Safety Load while I am at it as well, since I hear that it is obsolete. Personally I haven't ran into any issues with it yet though.
  3. The title speaks for itself. I am using both at the same time with DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 ScrapHeapSizeMB=256, in SKSE.ini. I know using them both at the same time can cause CTDs, but the odd thing is I set ExpandSystemMemory to false upon discovering that, and I started crashing a LOT more often. So I just turned it back on and everything went back to normal. Mods: https://www.modwat.ch/u/jailhouseblues Specs: GTX 970, i5 4690k 3.5 Ghz, 8 gigs ram I know this has probably been mentioned a million times now, but I find it real odd that I can use both and not get crashes, and if I use sheson's patch only, I start crashing. Memory Blocks Log: https://pastebin.com/7rVziabN EDIT: Hm I think it's because I was reaching the limit of 512mb. The reason why I didn't crash when using both ENBoost ExpandMemory and Sheson's patch is probably because ENBoost took over once Sheson's block 1 ran out. So I decided to set the 1st block to 1024 instead and left the initial value for 2nd block. It seems to have worked. I am now getting a stable 599mb usage on the first block. It would be cool if someone can confirm whether or not this is the correct approach.
  4. Hey guys I have a problem. I am pretty experienced with installing ENBs, so I am positive wrong installation is not the culprit here, though there may always be something I might have overlooked. However, I am sure I installed everything correctly. So let me get to the point. I have two computers now, one is a laptop, and the other is desktop, which I built recently for heavy gaming. My laptop is also pretty capable. I first installed ENBs on my laptop and they would look gorgeous however I would get 20-25 FPS average so at some point I concluded that it was unplayable. When I installed ENB on my desktop, I got good frames, so I was happy about that, however, NONE of the ENBs I tried look as good as they did on my laptop screen.. Except Vividian ENB, but other ENBs which previously would make my jaw drop, looks relatively unimpressive here and it's not just my eye getting used to them. They all just look so... bland and hideously sharp. (Even on the lowest sharpness setting) Now I am thinking it's a monitor issue. Since I don't have a PC monitor as of now, I am using a Samsung Plasma TV and a VGA cable connected to a VGA to DVI adapter (Also tried HDMI, same results). I tried calibrating it, playing around with its settings for hours, and while I did get a small improvement on the overall quality of the picture, it was not even close to being enough. So here's a stupid question. Will the kind of display device I have, affect how the ENB looks? I am sure my brightness, contrast and gamma settings are right, but it just never looks right, so I can't decide if it is an issue with my Plasma TV, or if it is an internal issue. What do you guys think? Should I get a legit PC monitor? Here's a screenshot I took using T.A.Z Visual Overhaul. Not sure if it is enough to describe the problem, or if you have to see it in person to understand. https://i.imgur.com/rmyWYNl.jpg
  5. Hey Sheson.. So I have a really weird problem. I just followed Gamerpoet's video to get DynDOLOD working, and it was a success. My game looks great. However there's a major problem. For some reason, for instance in the reach, I get like very blurry aspen and snowy tree LODs ( using SFO ) but when I get close to them they disappear. So basically, I get tree lods where there are no trees.. Even in the Tundra, I get like, a couple random aspen tree LODs which clearly don't belong. They disappear as I get closer. Thing is, I noticed this problem even before I installed DynDOLOD but it seems more prevalent now. Back then I had Distant Object Overhaul, HighQualityLODs and SkyrimHighDefinitionLODs (yes, they all replace each other to some extent, I just wanted greater coverage) mods together with Distant Detail. I tried disabling them while using DynDOLOD but the problem still persisted. So I'm really at a loss. In a minute I will try disabling DyndoLOD and trying again, but if you guys have any suggestions or ideas, they would be much appreciated.. EDIT: It indeed was DynDoLOD. So now I am wondering if I did something wrong..
