  1. Thanks for the rundown, Mono. After reading your thoughts on PTWB's mods, I understand where you're coming from. Most are incompatible with F&L. I'll probably try PTWB's mods in a future playthrough as it appears they're made to compliment his Jsawyer Ultimate mod seeing as it lacks features PN has. I'll refrain from using the economy and loot mods, for sure, but I may still try out the Simple Saves mod. I hear it doesn't cause micro stutter on save like CASM does for me. The less intrusive the better in my opinion.

How likely are we to see the inclusion of more mods by PushTheWinButton, such as: Simple Saves - a less bloaty (apparently) and more stripped down alternative to CASM VATS Alternative - A Comprehensive Bullet Time Mod Karmic Balance - Karma Consequences Economy Overhaul Mojave Arsenal ? I have been tracking these mods for a few months now -- haven't tried them out myself yet, but wondered if there was a place for them in this wonderful guide.

I have same issue: 18:57:21 [D] login failed: Error downloading https://nmm.nexusmods.com/skyrim/Sessions/?Validate - server replied: Service Temporarily Unavailable 18:57:21 [W] QCoreApplication::postEvent: Unexpected null receiver Asks me to log into MO each time across all profiles. We just have to wait until Nexus sorts it on their end then?
  4. Are we likely to see an update to the guide any time soon? Quite a few mods have been updated and there are quite a few new mods that have the potential to be added to the guide.
  5. I too have some severe frame drops in locations where it doesn't make any sense. I'm running 4790K, 16 GB RAM and a 980ti. I get 60 FPS almost everywhere except for a few odd places. Repcon facility is one of these. Camp McCarren interior hits my performance really hard. The worst frame drops however are in the New Vegas sewers. Can drop from 60 to 20 for no discernible reason. Pretty disgusting considering the rig I have. These areas drastically need optimisation.

  7. Found it, thanks guys. Would you recommend that I re-merge all of my patches using the 33 version with 1.75 xedit script?
  8. Heh! I've figured it out. Merge Plugins xEdit Script wasn't playing nicely with v3.0.31 of FNVEdit. I made a clean install of FNVEdit v3.0.32, downloaded the 1.75 scripts again, made the Merged Fixes.esp and the game loaded up fine. So it might be worth mentioning in the guide that the Merge Plugins Script may not work properly with v3.0.31. Still, doesn't explain why Sandbox's Merged, Yuki's Merged and NV Uncut worked without causing the same problem. :confused:

  10. Hello there, EssArrBee I've been following your guide for New Vegas for some time now. I cannot thank you enough for the work you've put into it. My load order is more or less exactly the same as yours, give or take one or two armor mods. I also use FNVRWL instead of Nevada Skies. Anyway, I updated my load order to the changes you made on October 21, 2014 and I found that, upon loading the game, the main menu wouldn't appear. It would just play the intro music and show the menu background, but no HUD to interact with. At first I thought it was due to the UI mod changes (addition of UIO - UI Organizer etc), but even after removing those, the problems persisted. I then went through the process of elimination and found the culprits. They are: Merged Fixes.esp This is the one that contains: Armor Replacer Child NPC Fix.espReload Speed Game Start Fix.espREPCONN Test Site Fixes.espSafe ShowRaceMenu.espand the ILO - Merged Patches.esp, which in my case only contains: ILO - New Vegas Bounties.espILO - New Vegas Bounties II.espIf those two merge files aren't loaded in my load order, the game runs fine. Now, I do know how to merge plugins. I've done it many times before. Merged plugins using the same method work without issue. The YukiMergedMods.esp, NewVegasUncutSeries.esp, Sandbox6 Mods Merged.esp, all work, for example. I followed your steps twice just to make sure and tried both 1.75 and 1.7 versions of the Merge Plugins xEdit Script. Is there something you missed out of the guide perhaps?
