  1. Just wanted to pop in and say thanks for this guide. Using with STEP Extended + Visual Overhaul, I am really enjoying the game. I ended up going with SPERG only because I've already tried SkyRe about a year ago: wanted to try something new. There's definitely a lot to configure initially but then it gets out of your way and let's you play. I am curious if anyone has tried Sneak Tools and if it is worth it? In Oblivion, I have a Khajiit who uses gas and water arrows - it's a lot of fun. Am curious to try something similar in Skyrim. Regardless, keep up the good work with this guide! Truly appreciate it :)
  2. I've done Gopher's Fallout 3/NV mod tutorials, which are really well done. But they aren't on the level of SR/STEP. I'd definitely support something like this for Fallout and even Oblivion!
  3. Fortunately, I haven't had any crashes or freezing in combat. But, I do concur about the AI. In my new playthrough I was heading up to Bleak Falls Barrow and my fight both at the Tower and at the entrance was totally different than I remember in vanilla. Enemy archers stayed at a distance and used trees for cover, only to pop out to take a shot at me. I got flanked several times at the Tower as well. I can't really talk about staggering as I don't use melee/close combat often but I can say when I stagger its the same animation regardless of weapon hit (not sure if this is engine limited, although he says in his critique it can be varied).
  4. So, first time I ran SUM I did not check 'Merge Patches'. So I have a couple .esp patches in my load order. If I go back and do 'Merge Patches', do I just delete the existing ones first? Is there any benefit to merging the patches (ASIS, Dual Sheath, Reproccer)? I'm not close to the 250 esp zone yet.
  5. Wow, impressive read. I'm not qualified enough to lean one way or the other, and I only played vanilla briefly. But I don't remember the enemy tactics when using archery, for example, being as varied as they are when Duel is enabled. I could be wrong though and now I'm interested for sure.
  6. Hey, congrats Aiyen! *endorsed* Really good work man.
  7. How much of a difference memory-wise will using the Lite Skyrim HD packs get me? I'm getting CTD around Whiterun and although my VRAM is showing 1650mb usage, in Task Manager Skyrim is eating 3.1GB...which will CTD the game, right?
  8. Just so I understand this right: I would still pick a perk (say, Marksmanship, from SkyRe) and then this mod will do the math to distribute to the Health-Stamina-Magicka points? If so, I'll have to try this out. I really dislike vanilla Skyrim's stat system - much prefer Oblivion's.
  9. If we use DoF with the ENB, do we need it enabled in the .ini? Does it even matter?
  10. Yup, had same problem and using the fomod installer worked. Had a similar issue with another mod before so, fortunately, I knew to go that route.Â
  11. Enjoying the ENB so far. Usually around 35fps for me. Have had a couple CTD but for the most part its been stable. I did download a DoF pack from Nexus and am using a static DoF - just personal preference. Hey Aiyen, is it supposed to get this dark when cloudy? This was at 3:15pm.
  12. So far, SIC has been running well for me (ASIS, SkyRe, High Level). I'm still hanging around Riverwood though so have only ran into a couple monsters from the mod. Loving the mod so far.
  13. Comparing the screenshots from Dungeon Treasure and Skyrim Coin Replacer, I much prefer the look of the latter. The appearance of the SCR coins is more realistic for the setting.I agree. Is there a mod or an edit where we can replace 'Septim' with 'Gold'? Or vice versa? It seems that some places in the game refer to it as Gold and some places its Septim. Septim is the proper term (according to every other elder scroll game in existance but skyrim).Right, but when you look in your Inventory screen it says Gold on the bottom. Guess its just an oversight from Beth?
