Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
hazelwolf replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Ok, I copied the file from Bathing in Skyrim's main file into the merged patch file and still have the same problem. Either I'm missing something fundamental here or something is messing up my merging. -

Whereabouts do I get it and where should it go? -

Hitting a snag with Bathing in Skyrim. Seems there is something up with the MCM after merging the plugins. -

I'm just finishing off a fresh install of the guide and am just curious why animated dwemer lifts has been dropped? -

Just checking something. I downloaded the Optimized Vanilla Textures found here as advised in the guide (previously I had run DDSopt myself). However all three dlc files are coming up as redundant in MO. Is everything working as normal or have I installed them incorrectly? EDIT: After following the instructions on the Mod page and not extracting the BSA's (checking them in the archives panel) they stop being redundant. Are these mods exceptions to the usual rule regarding BSA's in SR:LE? -
Perplexing Vanilla Skyrim CTD and Savegame Issue
hazelwolf posted a question in General Skyrim LE Support
Hi All, I am completely flummoxed by what is going on with my game. I have been consistently unable to load any saves unless I have removed a mod. Any minor mod, doesn't matter. So long as there are no conflicts or there are no missing masters the Warning message pops up informing me of potential missing content and the save loads fine. Accessing any save games beyond that still requires losing mods in order to load it, though. I reverted to vanilla Skyrim to see if it could simply be a conflict with a recent mod update and I encounter the same issue. Not only that but the game CTD's every time I try to enter Helgen Keep during the opening cinematic. I have cleaned my saves, reinstalled Skyrim and still the same issue, which rather indicates that it may be either a software or hardware issue on my end. I just have no idea where to start. EDIT: After cleaning out the Skyrim directory folder of all non-vanilla content and reinstalling from a backup, my ctd and savefile corruption issues have been fixed. Evidently there is something in the original folder that wasn't playing nice so I suppose I shall have to reinstall mods and other programs step-by-step according to the SR:LE guide again. This is going to be a tedious process and I won't consider the problem "fixed" until I work out where the problem is so I will leave this topic open in case anyone else has some insight. -

I finally bit the bullet and changed to LOOT for this guide (BOSS was working fine up until the recent update) Thing is now the SR Conflict Resolution file is no longer at the bottom of the load order., What LOOT metadata rule should I apply? -
Console causes player character to disappear
hazelwolf posted a question in General Skyrim LE Support
What it says on the tin, basically. After updating to recent USKP and a few other mods, my character vanishes whenever I bring up the console, something that never happened before. When I switch it off she reappears but it rather makes it kind of awkward when it comes to editing the racemenu if I can't see her (note that the initial character creation on a new character works fine, but any subsequent attempts using the console fall foul of this issue.) Anyone encountered this problem before? -

Looks like a replacer for better Fast Travel has made it onto the Nexus's Hotfiles. Looks interesting. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68221/? -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
hazelwolf replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Getting to the end of a new installation and I reached the part where I have to edit the USKP Keep encountering this error message in TES5Edit and nothing is saved: "Error saving Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp.save.2015_07_29_00_37_51: Stack overflow" Does anyone know what's going on? EDIT: Nvm. I found out on the USKP comments section that I had to delete the Plugins.tes5viewsettings file in C: \ Users \ <username> \ AppData \ Local \ Skyrim \ Plugins.tes5viewsettings That fixed it. -

I've just been playing around with an issue I thought was to blame on one of my non- SRLE mods. The fade-to-black bug that happens when using frostfall tents or mods that add sleeping animations. Seems this is an issue that comes with using an ENB and whether there is a fix or not depends on the ENB in question. Do we know if Vividian has a fix for this? -

Hey, I'm contemplating removing Frostfall and replacing it with Campfires until Chesko releases Frostfall 3.0 The script lag and messages have just started to become a major irritant and I'd rather do without the hypothermia mechanic for a few months and have a (slightly more) stable game and just roleplay the fact that cold weather is a no-go. The conflict resolution patch lists Frostfall as a dependancy, though. Is there a way of removing it as a master file from SR Conflict Resolution.esp until that time when the new Frostfall is released and integrated into the guide? -
Using the COT texture replacer fixed it. No idea if that was what was broken or if I merely needed to rebuild the patch but everything looks as it should now. Please ignore this thread.

After following the SR:LE guide and making use of Real Shelter the rain textures are missing: It's like Minecraft all up in here :P So I have tried to install the COT texture replacer on real shelter's nexus page and am about to see if that works but, since that is never indicated as necessary in the SRLE guide, does anyone have any idea what might be happening here?

Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
hazelwolf replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
After completely removing all the DynDOLOD remnants from my Skyrim folder and making sure the output was correctly chosen I got it to work :) Also the MCM is working fine as well. I just wasn't checking it while I was outside... derp. As far as the update is concerned, I will probably leave it until I am ready to go through the TES5Edit process again. I realise I don't have to but I'd sooner not try to fix what is currently not broken, just yet. Thanks for the help. -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
hazelwolf replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
In the data folder, as downloaded from the nexus, should there be an SKSE file? Because I am seeing none in the version I downloaded. I see Meshes, Scripts, Textures, Dyndolod.esp and dyndolod.esp.bak I managed to find where the .json files were going in the Edit Scripts\Output\SKSE\Plugins\StorageUtilData directory -

Weird as although I have not tested this with things such as windmills I swear I *have* seen distant waterfalls, which appeared animated. I just assumed that the MCM issue was broken on my current save do to being improperly deactivated when I first updated it and there was little I could do to fix it aside from just starting afresh. The error is the same as when I previously had this issue. "DynDoLOD can't read data from DynDoLOD_tamriel.json" I will have a look for that missing SKSE output when I get home in an hour. -

Ramccoid and Hishitup have compiled all their little improvement mods into one https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/65959/? I know some of these are used in the guide so this might be an option to streamline it. -

Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
hazelwolf replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Testing with a new game I got the same error. Looking in data\skse\plugins there is no StorageUtilData folder and neither is there one in MO's overwrite folder so presumably I have botched something during the generation. Going to be at work for about 9 hours after this so if anyone can point out where I've gone wrong I'd be appreciative, otherwise I'll re-read the instructions to see where I've gone wrong. Cheers. Edit: After checking the 1.27 file contents I can see no SKSE folder as detailed in the installation instructions on the nexus so unless one is generated during the TES5Edit script I cannot see where the .json files could have ended up. I will take a look when I get back to my personal computer. Also, since I'm here, ever since my first broken update my current save's MCM menu has been stuck saying that there is no DynDOLOD for this world... even though the messages I've been receiving and the evidence of my own eyes say different. At most it has just been a bit of an annoyance and means that, every update, I have to go through the rigmarole of cleaning save games and activating and deactivating plugins for a certain amount of time but is there a way of de-bugging the MCM menu? -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
hazelwolf replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
I updated DynDOLOD to 1.27 today along with TES5 Edit and the new method detailed in the SRLE Guide. Did the usual updating process but this time it refused to locate the correct .json files for the world gens. Tried a reinstall in case I had messed up but it is still giving me the error message in the top left corner as I travel. I did notice the script was running as 1.26 in TES5 Edit. Is this significant? -
