DynDOLOD not dynamically updating seasonal Tree LODs in game

https://dyndolod.info/Help/Seasons In addition to the default LOD meshes and textures this option adds a season identifier to the LOD meshes and textures filenames. This feature is for powerofthrees's Seasons Of Skyrim which does the actual switching of assets for the different seasons in the game. The fact that the game shows the correct LOD after loading, verifies that DynDOLOD worked as desired and generated the seasonal LOD assets. DynDOLOD does not change how the game works. Switching of assets is obviously the job of Seasons of Skyrim. Make sure you are checking/editing the correct po3_SeasonsOfSkyrim.ini via MO2 right window Data tab. Check po3_SeasonsOfSkyrim.log for hints. As a workaround you could try to generate ultra tree LOD. A method is to use xEdit filter: left tree view, right click, select Apply Filter check "deleted" in the left check "by Record Signature" in the middle and in the list select REFR - Placed Object everything else unchecked Once applied, the left tree view will list all plugins containing deleted references. Modding is a lot of trial and error unless you follow a modding guide (and stick to it) or download a pre-made list.

The upload includes the TexGen log and debug log instead the logs for DynDOLOD. The xEdit screenshot shows that the Forest Nymphs.esm plugin "deleted" the reference. Clean it with the xEdit Quickautoclean mode.

Newer versions fix bugs, contain updated/new assets and configuration files to support the (sometimes still updated) vanilla game and for existing, new or updated mods. Using the latest version and providing feedback or reporting problems is a requirement to participate in the alpha test. Do not waste time using older versions or reporting problems with older versions. Participating in the alpha test requires to report any problems to the official DynDOLOD support forum. Older versions will automatically stop working after several months to facilitate the cathedral modding process and to protect the community from detrimental behavior and users from themselves. The only sane and common sense modding and development method of free tools is to report bugs or problems, have them fixed in a new version and solved in the official DynDOLOD support forum. https://dyndolod.info/FAQ#Older-versions If you are unable to pay the "price" required to use the tool I share for free, then you should not use it.

Every plugin containing deleted references should be cleaned. Check the DynDOLOD log and summary for messages about deleted references. Clean the mentioned plugins. Grass cache generation, full grass etc. has nothing to do with the DynDOLOD tools or the LOD patch.

The Occlusion data and Plugin checkboxes will be checked automatically. Ignore CLA. It is full of useless nonsense. The crash address SkyrimSE.exe+0D6DDDA for 1.5.97 is very well known and documented/discussed. It is either texture or memory related. Since no texture file name is specially mentioned, the issue is probably more likely to be virtual memory / page file related. Either set it to default, e.g. let the OS handle it or in case that is current setting, follow instructions to manually increase, for example set it to the same size as main memory.

Look for the green/blue circle checkmark for each file on the files tab. Check with https://www.virustotal.com to rule out false positives. A false positive is when the majority of tests do not find anything wrong. Report the problem to the developers of the anti virus software. Add an exception for the false positive. Use better antivirus software. The link to Nexus you posted, shows the green circle, which links to the VirusTotal report.

CTD from having dyndolod.esp enabled in new save and old

Textures generated by TexGen are obviously not causing CTD. They are multiple of 4 and typically not used directly but for atlas texture generation. If problematic textures are used by anything (potentially) LOD related, they are typically reported in the DynDOLOD log. A texture causing a crash is usually very obvious in the crash log. Typically the textures filename is mentioned, at the least the BSLightingShaderProperty and BSShaderTextureSet NIF blocks. In case the NIF/tetxure is used by a reference, the form ID of the reference and base record.- 18 replies

Also upload the papyrus logs. The game is not loading the plugin. Make sure it is installed and enabled in the mod manager. Make sure to install Skyrim VR ESL Support in case ESL flagged plugins and/or plugins with version 1.71 are in the load order. There might a log message reporting this. Also see posts above. https://dyndolod.info/Mods/Skyrim-VR Keep in mind that Skyrim VR does not support *.ESL or ESL flagged plugins by default. In case skyrimvresl.dll from Skyrim VR ESL Support is detected in the in the load order, ESL support is activated automatically.

No new DynDOLOD log and debug log were provided. There are obviouly no settings that directly cause a crash. Especially not when the provided logs and crash report show that the crash was most likey not related to the DynDOLOD output as explained. Correlation does not imply causation.

You seem to have a problem with full grass. Full grass not loading is caused by INI settings (https://stepmodifications.org/wiki/Guide:Skyrim_INI/Grass) or 3rd party mods or their settings. DynDOLOD does not change or affect full grass. Seems this might be a problem with grass cache not being generated or installed/deployed as a mod and/or the NGIO settings. This is the DynDOLOD support forum. For support of 3rd party mods, ask the mod author or the mods comment section, forum etc. or a generic modding forum. I suggest to follow a modding guide that includes NGIO grass cache generation. If you require help with grass LOD past the active cells see https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum how to make a proper post, which TexGen and DynDOLOD log and debug logs to upload etc.

Yeah, I thought I mention that just in case. The order looks right if none of the other mods instruct to overwrite specifically. If in doubt you could double check whatever conflicts MO2 reports.
