FAQ: Game: DynDOLOD requires DynDOLOD.DLL A: If the intention is to use PapyrusUtil, make sure the papyrus scripts from DynDOLOD Resources are not overwritten by the papyrus scripts from DynDOLOD DLL. Do not install anything from DynDOLOD DLL. A: The DynDOLOD.DLL is not installed into the correct games ..\Data\SKSE\Plugins folder, outdated or not running at all. A: Make sure you have the correct DynDOLOD.DLL version for the current Skyrim and SKSE versions that is used and none of its files are overwritten by other mods. The DynDOLOD DLL papyrus scripts need to overwrite the papyrus scripts from DynDOLOD Resources which are for PapyrusUtil. A: Check the c:\Users\[username]\Documents\My Games\[Skyrim|Skyrim Special Edition|Skyrim VR]\SKSE\[skse|skse64|sksevr].log that the DynDOLOD.DLL was loaded correctly.   2. The object and tree LOD that generated successfully so far can be kept and doesn't have to be generated again. Everything that requires data in the plugins, like dynamic LOD, underside, occlusion needs to be generated for all worldspaces without error. It is possible to update thje existing plugins, especially if they do not yet contain data for a worldspace. So you can generate dynamic LOD, underside, occlusion for all worlspaces in one run and merge with the already existing object and tree LOD and install it. Then update that installation by loading the existing plugins and only select object and tree LOD for the remaining worldspaces. As the https://dyndolod.info/Generation-Instructions mentions, finalize and error check the load order with xEdit before generating LOD.
  3. Install the latest DynDOLOD Resources SE 3 Alpha. Install the latest DynDOLOD DLL Scripts in case you are using DynDOLOD DLL. Download and install the archives again. Generate LOD with the latest DynDOLOD 3 Alpha Standalone version. Test with a new game. If that works, but it doesn't with an existing save, make a clean save https://dyndolod.info/Help/Clean-Save. If none of that helps upload the logs as explained on the first post.
  4. The log folder does not contain useful logs since it seems the OS terminated the program without letting it go through its exception handler and shutdown procedure. See if the event is preceded by other events with the same time stamp.

There is no need to ask the mod author for the full texture textures\effects\FXWhiteWater02_falls.dds, since it already is shipping and installed with the Realistic Water Two SE version v5 you said you are using. You may want to double check the download archive and the installation of the mod. From https://dyndolod.info/Help/DynDOLOD-Resources: DynDOLOD Resources Core Files contains LOD assets required for object LOD and tree LOD generation.
  10. As already explained, the texture textures\effects\FXWhiteWater02_falls.dds ships with Realistic Water Two 3.x and newer and is installed with its core files. "and newer" means 4.x and 5.x as well.
  11. The purpose of running TexGen is to update textures from the currently installed full textures so that they match. The DynDOLOD Resource contains these textures that are used by the meshes in DynDOLOD Resources so that there are no file not found issues, for example if TexGen wasn't run yet.

  14. That the download for 2.98 still shows shows 2.97 for the tools is correct. So you are good.
  15. It is not possible to select more than one worldspace in expert mode in DynDOLOD 2.x. That can only be done in the wizard or the advanced mode. Do not set expert=1 in the INI. To either use the wizard or advanced mode leave at the default 0. Always use the latest DynDOLOD version. There is no good reason using a year old version.
  16. Those setting have no affect on grass cache or grass LOD generation or grass LOD itself, which is part of object LOD. If DynDOLODGrassMode is not 0 any other full grass distance setting in the Skyrim or NGIO INI is overwritten. If no grass LOD shows for certain grasses means there are no billboards for it or the grass cache doesn't have its position or object LOD generation failed with error messages. Going through the checklist should cover all requirements and steps. E.g. it tells you what to check and at least one of checks has to be negative unless you did not install the generated object LOD or it is being overwritten.

From https://dyndolod.info/Help/Grass-LOD Grass LOD can either start right beyond the active exterior cells (uGridsToLoad) which equals to Mode/DynDOLODGrassMode = 1 or beyond the large reference distance (uLargeRefLODGridSize) which equals to Mode/DynDOLODGrassMode = 2. Set the desired Mode in the advanced mode of DynDOLOD under the Grass LOD checkbox and for DynDOLODGrassMode in ..\NetScriptFramework\Plugins\GrassControl.config.txt. While the DynDOLODGrassMode can be changed at any time, the Mode used to generate grass LOD is baked into the object LOD meshes.
  20. Check if the billboard texture generated/used for a grass base record actually matches the full model. Other than that, the defaults setting are for vanilla weather and no ENB.
  21. What is the significance of Alpha 64 compared to grass LOD generated in the past year with all the other versions? Grass LOD uses the billboards generated by TexGen, e.g. the textures which are added to the object LOD texture atlas which the BTO refers to. So make sure the billboard texture match the full model grass. The RGB values of the DynDOLOD INI set the vertex color of the billboard planes in the BTO. These can be used trying to match the simple grass shader which is not available in LOD. Weather, image space, ENB effect and whatnot are outside the control of the BTO and textures. The grass cache contains the placements and brightness variants of the different grass models. Nothing else.
  22. I was able to replicate and fix thanks to that information. Test with Alpha 65.
  23. The tools use the path that the games launcher set in the Windows Registry for the game. If the game and mod manager are setup correctly there is no reason to change any paths.

  25. Check if any other plugins overwrite the reference or base record. With the full model not showing, open console and use "prid xx00aa28" (xx = load order id of the plugin) and then "enable" and if nothing happens "recycleactor" Otherwise try to check if there is a mod or plugin that adds occlusion planes/boxes "blocking" the view maybe. Zip and upload the entire logs folder and ..\DynDOLOD\Edit Scripts\Export\ folder of both version if you can't compare those yourself. If you suspect another mods/plugin to interfere, try to test that theory by adding them to the vanilla + mod test.
