Interesting you went with Ultimate combat, I assume to also handle NPC combat behaviour as well as general combat. You've also dropped Better Vampires for Vampiric Thirst..... Also no human female facial overhaul that I can see, though the males are covered. No Serana appearance overhaul... Still studying but basically this looks like an awesome setup............

Nice one Leto, I too am thinking of not going with an enb and using Sweet FX. Studying it now............... Er doesn't ELFX Exteriors clash with Lanterns of Skyrim.....I remember reading that.

Yeah sands of time looks very script intensive. I think that's why mods like : Skyrim Flora Overhaul, Footprints, Run for Your Lives, When Vampires Attack, Realistic Ragdolls and Force, any and All High Resolution Texture Packs, that you mentioned, they are not necessarily incompatible, just resource or script intensive so they recommend adding in the memory patch as well as tweak your ini settings and the mod settings down. However, we already knew these mods were like that. One reason why I wont bother with Footprints, Wet and Cold, Burn, Shock, Freeze Effects and a body replacer like CBBE or UNP. Just to try and preserve some FPS and resources. Run for your lives is interesting, I think a must have mod because the alternative they suggest, NPC's Protected Redux, is incompatible with beautification mods because they override the changes made to NPC's. And I want to use Bijins. I will probably give SOT a miss, I was going to disable the most of the random encounters anyway and just use it for the bolster enemy encounters as I intend to use a few companions at any one time. I do notice with ASIS you can disable the increased spawn points...I think. There is also mod compatibility with Combat Evolved and Duel/Deadly Combat. I'm just wondering the difference in enemy AI that Combat Evolved and ASIS have and if its worth using both or just ASIS. You make a good point about animal tweaks, we don't want skeevers going around killing all the townsfolk.....

Thanks very interesting, just wondering, why did you pick Asis over say Sands of Time? I don't want extra spawn points which is what ASIS does, correct? I don't mind the chances of extra enemies spawning just to mix it up which is what both mods do. Interested in your opinion. I would use along with combat evolved, probably animal tweaks or Immersive detection of NPC's, have to decide on which one as they do clash and a combat mod like Duel or deadly combat. I am not totally sure of the difference. I will be playing with followers (Bijins).

Any mod updates Leto on your playthrough? I too am looking to follow a STEP LE or extended list plus REGS plus a few other hardcore/immersion mods. Like you I will be leaving out a few STEP LE mods because I want steady FPS. Eg Footprints, Wet/Cold, body mods and probably even swap Vividian Enb for maybe Sweet FX. Something I have to ask in the forums.

Thought I would put this one up. Simple mod that replaces the vanilla chuck in the cooking pot to look like a stew. I'm unsure whether the future STEP includes a replacer but from the pictures of this mod, it would be worth considering.

Er, there is a patch for ETAC though, according to the compatibility page. I'm just wondering is cutting room floor that good a mod. From the you tube clip it adds 20 npc's and 10 small quests. -

This looks like a must have immersion/realism mod. However, the Immersive lighting of NPCs optional seems problematic according to various posts. Also not compatible with Animal Tweaks - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60222/? This is a real pain as animal tweaks also looks like a must have immersion/realism mod. I think the author of YASH is back. Will work continue on this pack. YASH looks like a very promising overhaul as it looks simple and uncomplicated. I was hoping for a YASH pack based on STEP with the explorers pack. Any thoughts on the future of this one?

Does anyone know what All in one face is like compared to XCE and Bella's? Is it closer to one of the two? I also don't see a version of All in one face for Vanilla bodies. I plan on using a couple of makeover mods (like Falmerbanes etc)and I usually use XCE as advised by STEP but they always come out looking much older and not much better. I know STEP stays away from the glamazon look but was wondering what All in one face would be like. Also in regards to body mods UNP CBBE etc, is there a performance hit at all? I read ages ago the vanilla body was ok in skyrim and didn't really need to be replaced unlike it did in oblivion. Any thoughts......................

Just with your line"STEP 2.2.6 with "most" mods at the highest resolution available", I am not a programmer or anything but this will CTD your game. Skyrim wont run at this level, especially the more hours you clock up. A high end rig only helps so much. There is a thread on ctd after 3.1 limit is reached. With the highest resolution textures, and so many of them, it would reach this level in no time. -
Sigh tried that, then modified the files as per STEP intro but didn't work. I knew this would happen, I shouldn't have done it. Edit: Warning to all those who want to finish a modded game. Once you have a working Skyrim game that's successfully modded....don't fk with it.

I had noticed about 20 hours into my game I was starting to get the shimmering mountains etc....ie the z-fighting. In my last playthrough, over 100 hours before I changed my mod selection and reinstalled STEP, I never had it. this playthough I went for the less intensive Baseline step-basically installed wherever possible the 1024 textures instead of 2048. Over 20 hours in and the Z seems to have appeared? Anyway I applied the fix as mentioned here: https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=154&pid=2744#pid2744 Although it improved it a lot, it made the rest of the terrain really sluggish and bare. So I had made copies of my skyrimprefs.ini and skyrim.ini and installed them back into Skyrim folder under My Games.......and now the game wont startup. Can anyone help or advise how to get my game running again. Thanks man, am wondering if its part of ERSO module 1, erkiel may have put it in to randomize your face so you use the Riften face changer later in the game.......not sure. Anyway I just used a random preset and am ok with it, even if I do have a Mohawk.

Thanks Ess, I tried to use Mod Organiser but found it too long and tedious and couldn't work it out if I was using it properly. I understand its not good for updating mod list etc but I don't plan on altering this playthrough, ie add other mods etc. Trying to finish the game......... Is race menu page a mod? creation kit?

using NMM, the unrecoqnized ones I just left at the tail, NPC makeovers etc.............. Does anyone know a console command maybe that will remove the helmet???
