  1. Just started the dawnstar quests and became a vampire. I have Sarena following me. I just left to go talk to inns and carts. Anyways, I went into town and everyone is attacking me. I went to a small farm. They attacked me. I read that stage 4 vampirism causes this and to just feed. I did and I'm still getting attacked. Since that's the only suggestion I can find, I'm assuming it has to do with one of the mods, but I'm not finding any that would do anything like this. Not sure what else to do here. If I get attacked every time I'm in town, I'll be reloading and going to the dawnstar. Any ideas? Am I missing a mod setting or is there a vanilla fix? Thank you
  2. 2560x1440 is my monitor resolution. No ultrawide. I did look through BethINI and all my settings migrated over to the new drive. I went through each tab and confirmed. I did change it to 1080, but the window was made smaller than my monitor, so I reverted back to 2560x1440. You mention BethINI Pie, but I downloaded the one specific to 1.6.640. It's version 1.1.33.10 which worked before the migration. I did not do any Advanced Config for SSE originally, so I didn't do anything with it this time around, either. ~~ I redid all the Initial BethINI steps as well as the Optimization steps farther down the list. I actually used a brand new BethINI setup by unzipping and replacing the existing one. I did go through and create a Config file for SSE Display Tweaks and forced the resolution. Resolution=2560x1440 - No change Added ResolutionScale=1 - No change Changed ResolutionScale=0.75 - Changed the size of the window and made it smaller than my monitor I could tweak this to .85 or .9, perhaps, but I think that's a band-aid rather than a true solution, right? The best combo I could find is: BorderlessUpscale=true Resolution=2560x1440 ResolutionScale=.8 The Scale got it just about perfect, so I flipped on BorderlessUpscape to get it just right. Is this the intended purpose of these settings? I feel like I'm working around the problem, but maybe that's just me.
  3. I got everything migrated and all the files updated to reference the new drive. Easier than I thought it'd be, just took a bit long. Thank you for referencing those links. The first two were particularly helpful. The only issue I'm having is the resolution. I had it set to 1440 originally and it was fine. Now, 1440 is zoomed in too much. I went to BethINI to ensure the settings were correct, and it is set to 1440. My PC resolution is 1440. I tried changing BethINI to 1080, but that gave me a window that was smaller than my monitor. I could see everything, but it wasn't the right fit. I reran all the LOD Outputs in case something there was messed up. I remember having to choose the correct resolution when I first set it up. This did not help. I also checked NVIDIA's GeForce just to check the game settings, and it's set to 1440. Any idea what else could be affecting the resolution like that?
  4. I am moving all of my games to my secondary drive now that it has a decent amount of space. This is everything Steam-related. Those are easy to do. Skyrim with all my STEP mods...a bit more complicated. Is there a decent guide on how to move everything from one drive to another? Anything from steam reinstall to all the mod folders and settings and all the folder references in the files. Does something like that already exist?
  5. So everything is resolved! Basically, I kept all of the mods except 02-Extenders. Uninstalled the game. Reinstalled the latest version and launched the game to download all the CC items. I then used the Download Depot to downgrade to 1.6.640. Once all that was overwritten, I cleaned the masters. Guide says 44 I think, I only had 39. Pro Tip: backup the Data folder with all the masters BEFORE you clean since you have to move the backups back to Data anyways. I reinstalled the 02-Extenders including SKSE. I also installed Backported Extended ESL Support and placed it at the end of 02-Extenders. (I actually forgot and had 7 mods that kept failing until I installed this). I ran LOOT, I had already cleaned other mods from the previous setup. Ran SKSE and it worked! Moved onto Performance Tuning and everything else fell into place. @DoubleYou@z929669@ButchDiavolo Special shout out to y'all for helping out here. Thank you!
  6. They indeed have been helpful. I'm about to start the actual Performance Tuning here in a moment now that the game will actually load!
  7. Alright, so I did a few things here. First I reinstalled Skyrim to the latest version. I only deleted the 02 mods including SKSE. I ran Skyrim on the latest version to download CC. I downgraded using the depot again. I wasn't able to find a 1.6 version of the downgrader, so I did it manually again. I cleaned the masters. There were only 36...not 44, but the guide says "approx" so maybe this isn't an issue. I installed all 02 mods including SKSE. Ran SKSE from MO with only xEdit, Cleaned Masters and 02 enabled and it ran! Great! I actually did have a few issues and wasn't able to simply enable all at once, but with the Extended ESL Support and going through each section one by one, they all ran. I still need to do the actual Performance Tuning now...but that'll be for tomorrow. Getting a bit late.
  8. No dice. I'm not even getting to the main menu to load a save. It crashes about a second into the Skyrim logo/emblem. Running from Steam directly does the same but on the Bethesda logo. Any chance I am able to uninstall Skyrim without deleting all the mods? If I start over, it'll actually be the third time. The first time around I didn't realize I needed to download all the CC stuff, so I reset everything. So if I just uninstall the game and probably the Essentials, would that suffice instead of redoing all 400 or so mods? Also, the guide you listed is for 1.5...I couldn't find one for 1.6.640. Is there really much difference between the two? I was hoping to stay on 1.6, but if it doesn't really matter, I can do 1.5 if I can't get 1.6 to work.
  9. Good call out on the log difference. I'm not used to reading these logs and didn't see that. I have 2.2.3 SKSE. The first time around, I actually did the latest and wound up starting over. This time, I made sure I got 2.2.3 and the description says it's for 1.6.640. Nevertheless, I'll reinstall it as you suggest. MO, Remove SKSE64 Deleted files from Steam files Nexus, download SSKE 2.2.3 to file Extracted dll and exe to Steam folder Created empty, moved to appropriate level, and enabled Opened SKSE64 folder and created SKSE\SKSE.ini and added text as directed I copied the Scripts folder over to SKSE Deleted the old executable in MO and recreated it. Ran SKSE Crash at the same point. Now the errors are the same, right? This was last time and this time. Unhandled exception "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" at 0x7FF6DACCC4B3 SkyrimSE.exe+01CC4B3 test byte ptr [rcx+0x0C], 0x01 I also tried running it without any enabled, and it crashed again. You mentioned to reinstall SKSE and the scripts. Which scripts do you mean? Just the folder for SKSE? I only moved them, but I haven't run anything for SKSE. How did I downgrade? I installed the latest via Steam. Downloaded the CC items. Disabled Updates. Then I used Steam Console to download the depots. I moved the files to the game folder and overwrote where needed. Here's the depots I used: download_depot 489830 489831 3660787314279169352 download_depot 489830 489832 2756691988703496654 download_depot 489830 489833 5291801952219815735 I heard the nexus downgrader wasn't working as expected lately, so I opted for the steam console. I'm really starting to this this is a base game issue. I tried loading Skyrim from the Steam Launcher. The Skyrim launcher came up, I clicked play. The game opened, but halfway through the Bethesda logo, it crashed. Not sure if the mods skip the logo and goes straight to the Skyrim emblem, but the timing is the same...about 2-3 seconds and it crashes. But though it's crashing at the base, my smoke test worked after only having 02-Extenders. Unfortunately, I can't find anything on logs from Steam. Or rather, I know where the log folder is, but I've no idea which one to review. Everything should be in English.
  10. I missed the EnableAchievementWithMods (though I would still like achievements when playing...). I updated that to false. I currently have "(Part 1) SSE Engine Fixes for 1.6.629 and newer" installed since I have 1.6.640. Reran LOOT and then SKSE. Same crash. Log files below. First is the timestamped file. Second is the crashlogger that gets overwritten. These are the ones in the My Games folders...I believe the Crash mod put those here. Let me know if there's another I should be referencing.
  11. I renamed the esl and bsa files *.backup. This is actually enabled in plugins, too. When I renamed the files, they went away when I restarted MO. I had enabled it based on some verbiage under Mod Installation Considerations: https://stepmodifications.org/wiki/SkyrimSE:2.2.0#Quick_Reference: "Always install plugins (ESLs/ESMs/ESPs), unless otherwise noted." I wasn't sure if that meant only installed mods or ones that came with the base. Ran LOOT, no changes to order. Ran SKSE...Crashed at the same place. Same PDB error.
  12. I installed it, though not too sure where to place it. I tried at the end, with Foundations, and with Extenders. I sorted with LOOT, but still running into the same issues.
  13. I finally got to the Performance Tuning step of the guide and the game keeps crashing. I've looked through other articles and followed some suggestions but continue to have issues. All mods were installed but I'm not using ENB. All plug-ins are enabled I'm on 1.6.640. I had to install the latest version, open it to download all the creation club items, then downgrade to .640. I learned this after finishing, so I had to Verify Integrity to get back to latest version to get these to download. But I reverted back to .640 afterwards Recleaned all the masters and moved the backups back to the Data folder I sorted with LOOT and got a couple warnings Those that could use the xEditQuickAutoCleaned I did Those that said to just remove a file, I used xEdit to manually remove them There are no errors or warnings, though there are some messages saying there are patches available, but I'm ignoring those since STEP has patches at the end In benchmarking steps, I disabled the Clear Map mod I also disabled various blocks of mods and then even the entire list, and it crashes even with No mods enabled. When selected SKSE to load from MO, it opens the game to the logo for about a second, then crashes to desktop. Timestamped crash log only says: Unhandled exception "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" at 0x7FF7C0888090 SkyrimSE.exe+0198090 mov rax, [rcx+0x30] The main message I see in the CrashLogger file is it cannot find a PDB, but I'm not sure what that is. Any other ideas on what I can take a look at?
  14. I feel kinda dumb asking this, but I think I'm doing this incorrectly. I'm trying to install Simple Children. The steps say to "Load the FacegenForKids.esp in xEdit." I opened xEdit from Mod Organizer. Filtered and found FacegenForKids.esp I double-clicked it to Open it, but then it started to run a script for what looked like a lot more than just that single file. Am I doing something wrong here? I'm not 100% sure if I'm "loading" the file or not.
  15. I see links here for 1.5.97. Does anyone have a link to 1.6.640? It's no longer on Nexus.
  16. The main article with instructions on how to install xLODGen is confusing to me. I did finally figure out how to get the Output, but going through Tool Configuration > Tool Setup, I noticed the filepath was xLODGenx64.exe instead of just xLODGenx.exe. Neither was specified in the xLODGen setup instructions. Which one should I be using?
