  1. So I got a CTD with no error message on the cart ride to Helgen and looked up a few things. Thought I'd verify the game cache to see if that helped. Didn't realise it would stick the dirty edits and stuff back in to the Beth esms XD. This is turning into more hassle than it is worth, I think.
  2. No, orange and red in TES5Edit, not in Wrye Bash.
  3. I use Wrye Bash already which is why I don't want to use Mod Organizer. I've got BOSS, BUM, and TES5Edit already. Done all the cleaning it suggested in the mod list but I hadn't realised the actual Beth esms needed cleaning too (wtf is that about?) so I'm assuming it is now too late to go back and clean them? Also, while I was following the cleaning instructions there seemed to be a few nodes and such still coloured in orange/red which the instructions didn't mention. I left them alone but I'm wondering about them. The game seems to be running more smoothly now but I've not got far into it.
  4. Do I have to use Mod Organiser? I'm like, half way through the cleaning and such. Quite frankly I don't want to use it.

  7. I can't remember with the Uncapper but I had to start over because I hadn't been following the safety routines right, etc. Got the save I was on but prob will just start anew.   9. Would anyone be able to suggest which type of mods could be causing this to happen? I know that it has been a problem for one or two people in vanilla at some point in time and it doesn't necessarily bother me too much but I have the following suspicions for the book issue:Â - Books, Books, Books - Classic Classes and Birthsigns by Kearsage ALSO:Â I have -35 in lockpicking. I open locks by using the 'open lock spell' which comes with Lock Overhaul. I'm wondering if it is an intended part of that mod? I tried looking it up but I can't find any information. ALSO 2: While I am here can someone tell me the radiant quest requirements for the 'Blacksmithing tutorial' side mission? Up until now, every time I played on the xBox I got the option to ask Alvor if he needed a hand at the forge. I know another two blacksmiths can do this quest but I couldn't ask Adrienne either. Hopefully it will let me after I do the delivery quest for her?

  12. Legendary Skills is optional. It's merely a new difficulty level you would select that most likely comes after Master. Even then, you still don't have to use the skill portion. That's good. What's even better is that I misunderstood how it would work. It's not actually as terrible as I thought it would be now that I've finally found somewhere that explains it decently.I'll probably still stick with a mod solution to the level cap though. rpsgc Wrote LynziRaeighn Wrote I hope we're not forced to use this patch. The Legendary skills thing sounds god awful. I don't understand where people get this idea that making a skill legendary is mandatory I knew it wasn't mandatory but I'd been thinking maybe Uncapper wouldn't work well with the changes or something.   16. It didn't seem to cause any issue when I used NMM to activate the plugins and it's easy to do from there. If people think that is safe and you don't mind downloading it then you could always do that? Again, I'm a massive noob. Question: I've got all the mods I want on, some from STEP and some I found through GEMS. After jiggering the load order a teensy bit after reading the nexus pages for the mods, etc, I appear to have most everything working. What I wanted to ask is if there's anyway to check if the following mods are working without playing along to a point where I will come in contact with them. Also, do any of these appear in the MCM (because if they do then I must have done something wrong again)?: NonEssentialChildren, The Choice is Yours, Ars Metallica, The Paarthunax Dilemma. I've been using BOSS but found that it doesn't fix everything perfectly. I'm confident I've got the general hang of this though.

  18. *slaps forehead* I thought I was doing so well, too. I'm assuming then that was my mistake and if I install everything with Wrye and make sure to activate them then I don't have anything to worry about?
  19. Well, I accidentally pressed something to do with turning on all unactivated plugins on NMM and that made them all get a green tick in Wrye. I'm not sure if I was meant to do something else in Wrye but now a mod's MCM bit is showing up when it didn't when I just used Wrye. I didn't realise I was supposed to activate anything after installing?
  20. Well, I put it on with NMM so I don't know if I should bother?
  21. I'm pretty sure I read that they are now only NMM compliant (or whatever the word is). Wrye is fine and everything is working now.
  22. Never mind, I fixed it. The problem was that I hadn't installed SkyUI and iHUD through NMM. Had tried doing it with Wrye Smash. MCM is where it should be now and I feel accomplished.
  23. Hmm, I think it might have something to do with SkyUI but I can't work out what. I'm using Wrye Smach & BOSS. (Also the script extender, of course)
  24. I can't find it in settings so I can't configure mods. EDIT: I worked out the problem. SkyUI seems to want me to use NMM to install it. Is there anyway I can use Wrye?
  25. Thanks for the advice anyway. I think that starting from the beginning wasn't such a bad thing though, things seemed a bit higgledee piggledee. That might be my G.A.D speaking though. I see issues where there aren't any sometimes. Now, time to get back to where I was before.
