I got it working, and I even had beautiful EVT 3d trees. So, yes, I know how to generate 3d trees with DynDOLOD 3. However, I wanted to test Nature of the Wilds instead, which has an option for 3d trees in the FOMOD. Obviously, I checked that option, but I'm still getting 2d trees only. The author says it should work, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. logs

Access violation at address ... in module DynDOLOD.exe

As I said, I'm already using the x64 versions of the tools. I closed all unnecessary programs (my internal memory runs with 30 % - less is not possible) and got a new bugreport. Logs 2 -

I'm sorry, looks like I was the one overlooking something (though I didn't have the exact same error). Thank you for your patience! Well, I uninstalled the 86x versions, as you suggested, which might have helped?! Now I'm getting a new error message to which I couldn't find a thread: "OpenGL: 674C7174 framebuffer incomplete attachment". Edit: Oh, sorry - the bugreport is the wrong one. I'll try to make a new one. Edit 2: Geez, I'm so stupid! I need to install the newest grahics drivers... I'll give it a shot and come back later. *sighs* Edit 3: I'm getting the feeling I will never be able to generate the new LODs. Now it's "access violation at address 0040A9B4 (...)". I've added the new text documents just in case you can help me one more time. I can (almost) rule out the points mentioned under the error, the only thing I don't know is if my CPU is unstable, but I doubt it. The bugreport said I was running out of memory. I just googled thrat phrase and I'm a little bit confused. Does it mean the hard disc containing my OS has too less capacity? Sorry, as you probably noticed, English is not my native language. I'm getting a similar error message, unfortunately. Hopefully this is the right bugreport. -
That's what the error message says, but no, there is no such file existing in the game folder. Or it's so extremely well hidden that I just can't find it.

May I humbly suggest following the exact recommendation and see what happens? Edit: Or was that related to the spoiler tab? In that case it‘s my mistake. Please believe me, there are no other TexGen outputs but restored outputs on my desktop. I don’t think those count. I thought you might know a hidden folder or something like that, which may interfere...

No, I was trying to generate LOD for SSE. Ignoring the error message didn’t seem to harm, though. Ah, sorry - same issue as this user: I know. Ok, got it! Thank you kindly for your quick help and reply!

I was having the same issue (when ignoring the issue about). (Thank to your link I now know it's a Windows Security issue.) Could you perhaps link to an explanation on how to upload the entire log to a file? Sorry, but I've never done that before.

Hi Sheson, I'm sorry for bothering you, and I know it's annoying to answer the same questions again and again, but I've searched the forum and still couldn't find the answer. I recently uninstalled previous versions from DynDOLOD before installing version 2.88 (core files)/298. When trying to run the TexGen64.exe I get the following error: "Found textures from earlier TexGen generation in game folder. It is recommended to uninstall all textures generated earlier before generating new textures". So I obviously missed something despite my attempt to follow your uninstall instructions. Unfortunately, I have no idea what I've missed. There are no DynDOLOD textures in my MO2 or in the installation nor the game folder.

I got it to work at last. I made sure to load EVT v. 1.9.0 at last and to disable FNIS, these are the only two differences.

Alas, I can't find any other log than the one I've linked you. By the way, the billboards are included in the mods I'm using. On running DynDOLOD, the generate tree LOD option is disabled, which indicates that the trees will be treated as static objects instead, and will use 3D billboards. At least that's how I understood it.

Okay, I‘ll search for the tree report. But please understand that I haven’t changed my tree mods since the last time I ran DynDOLOD. Obviously, they do have 3D models. 🙂 I‘m pretty sure there‘s one tiny little step I forgot about...

I‘m sorry, I don‘t quite understand. What am I supposed to do now?

Now I don't have 3D trees anymore. 😞 Here is my DynDOLOD log: https://mega.nz/file/NE1QiTQb#9iWMWwck3c94nhcr9YXd4PBSZiQs3R9P-7SwYdSySH0 Thank you very much for your kind help again! Look, everything seems fine:

So... The good news is: it worked. And the bad news: I clicked "Save and Exit", but no Output was created. The path name is correct. What have I missed? Yeah, sorry! Of course it was my mistake, xEdit chose the wrong hard drive and I didn't see it. *facepalm*

I just read you suggested running DynDOLODx64 in that case. I'll do that! *fingers crossed*

Yeah, it's me again. *sighs* I'm sorry, Sheson, you said I should pay attention to the bug reports, but alas it's a closed book to me. Would you mind taking a look at my bugreport? You said: This may be a dump question, but what do you mean? 😞 Edit: Oh... No, that was something else. The error warnings are:

Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - DynDOLOD for Skyrim and Enderal 2.98
Marina replied to sheson's topic in DynDOLOD & xLODGen
Yes, but I‘m using the same mods as before, there ARE 3D models. Anyway, I will do as you suggested and I already apologize if I need to come back. Thank you for your quick replies - I know it‘s annoying and I really do appreciate the help! Edit: I just read the sticky post at the EVT forum, which is a little bit confusing. I‘m using an older version now, so everything works like a charm. Thank you again!- 452 replies

Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - DynDOLOD for Skyrim and Enderal 2.98
Marina replied to sheson's topic in DynDOLOD & xLODGen
I‘m sorry for my late reply, I wasn’t doing well these past few weeks. I have 3D models installed, I changed the INI and I also changed LOD4 to Static LOD4, because it didn’t change automatically. I‘ve done this so many times - running DynDOLOD I mean. And I have no clue what I‘m doing wrong all of a sudden. Right now I‘m using an old Resource back-up, but that can‘t be the answer to the riddle since eventually I need to run DynDOLOD again. 😞- 452 replies

Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - DynDOLOD for Skyrim and Enderal 2.98
Marina replied to sheson's topic in DynDOLOD & xLODGen
Edit: I just tried an older version, and the issue (tree: LOD4 = "Billboard" instead of "Static LOD4") happens after changing the Output path. My game setup is currently on a different hard drive.- 452 replies

Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - DynDOLOD for Skyrim and Enderal 2.98

I'm sorry for bothering you, Sheson, but I'm at my wisdoms end. I can't create 3D trees anymore and I have no clue what I'm doing wrong. I changed TreeLOD=1 to TreeLOD=0 and deleted everything inside the cache folder. What have I missed? Has something changed in your newest version?- 452 replies
